Rockos

After recovering the file from an external hard drive, it took me all my courage today to rework completly the sounds to were I lost the file. So Here it is. http://soundcloud.com/rockos-1/rockos-my-palace

All you need is to find so sort of glitchy tricky thing or glitch the song. You could add warpped synth chorded synth with backing pad in all alone. Clearing sound to make the pad alone is a nice effect and can lead to chord lead synth or stuff other than bass. Otherwise I'm no good at writing a good track. I'm just good to add bass and weird fx that don't fit ^^.

THIS THIS IS THE SONG Wow and win for BGC. I'm a canadian retarded cause people here all hate dubstep. Maybe 1/10 person would listen to it. I Just plain love dubstep. But it is varied and I prefer it with less wub and more chord lead stuff. And yes it's hard to produce a good dubstep track cause it's easy to kill the track with wub. EDIT: Btw I bought the BGC nostalgia digital. IT's awesome.

I'm not expert at this kind of track. But man this is awesome. I love the choice of synth u used. I didn't the piano overpowering just perfect as it is. The transition at 1:52 <3 2:13 glitchy thing is AWESOME. I would like to suggest things but this is not my kind of music so I don't have anything to say on production. It could stay like this and I would find it perfect.

Nice track for a first try. But the intro is weak. There is no transition between breakbeat and dubstep the first time it happen and the sounds are overpowered. The part after that is pretty empty. You could add background a little bit. I know it's hard to make a remix out of a 4 sec track. It need to be very 'creative' and you could use one more source to back it up. Anyway. Good try and good luck.

I never heard the source. But this mix is awesome! and the drum'n'bass part at 2:18 was for the change. This is some serious sh**! AWESOME The 4/4 kick at the start were not bad. At 1:17, don't you find the synth a little bit overpowering?

Yeah the writer block. I remember that when I was doing 7th saga remix. And it struck me again on my mario rpg mix. I'll wait patiently ^^.

You can create projects for fun and no-one will hear it. Practice some technique. Try a project with the objectives of : working the synth till you find the kind of sound you want, new project to test your sequencing, new project on layering etc. You can create over 5 or 10 project before one will be satisfying for yourself. Tho, others will find it noobish at start.But that's a part of the learning. The more project you've done, the better you gonna be and the better you gonna understand. 8-bit Final fantasy loveliness dubstep. What more? Halc on that. This is awesome stuff and it is going in the good way. Smooth till the end. But did you think to add a filthier part of only 30 second of less just to pick up listener. Like overdriven glitchy bass of something like that. Otherwise there is nothing to say. This is awesome. I can't jugde the eq since you didn't fully added it. I can say that I love the style of sound yyou choosed. Glitchy thing at 1:25 WAS AWESOME. This is what make me dance and scream like a crazy guy. Same at 1:48. The ambience here and so forth is beautiful. Glitchy lead. Dubstep environnement. I'd like to se more of this as soon as it update.

I'm not fan of pokemon . But I'm a devoted fan to dubstep for sure. Two things bothered me here: Kick and snare sample could be changed completetly. Snare need more punch in low and high. Too much compression from the kick directly on the song itself. Otherwise, this is asesome and 2:38 to the end was AWESOME! This had put the listener to the max energy and want them to listen again.

Not too much of a remix. But more a cover. Anyway, it's always nice to hear some cover from metroid soundtrack.

They are reliable. I just hit a defect.That's it. I call this very badluck since this is only my second time I see a faillure in more than 10 years.

Sorry for being long on update but my ssd recently blew off and thus losing all project. I've already ordered another ssd and waiting for it. As soon as it comes, I'm gonna check my last backup if I had all my fl project and sounds. Otherwise this project will be dead for a long time. Other projects have gone down too.

MEn, ..... This is awesome stuff. The only thing is near 0:46 the break does not fit here other wise I love this. Could you link mp3! It would be awesome.

Ok. More on the mixdown so on. I think the intro could be louder a little bit. Like the glitchy thing could get 2db boost but the piano would need to get more. It don't have to be overpowering but to get at least up on the glitchy thing. When the guitar come in, the guitar should be louder. It's guitar you know and it have to be impressive. Then the main part sound perfect as is. Again, at 2:24 your piano could be a little bit boosted. At 3:05, I would had a beautiful nice ride hat on top of the kick. Distant but present. Until the end, it sounds good as is.

Nice track. But I have a problem with your electric guitar. It sounds computer made and not hand played. And the break at 1:59 is way cool for me Haha nice sephiroth add-on into this! At some place the mix feel more like FF6. Like 3:30 and around. Anyway nice and neat track.

Old thread. I'm reviving it cause I've obtained only one yes at submisson. So work on again. Thanks for every comment guys! Now I'm working on it. Rebalanced stuff and redone some eq since I improved in mixing. Redone the kick and snare for dubstep part. Changed completly the kick and snare sound. Now I'm adding drop and removing unwanted sound and artifact. Please comment!

F*** !! This is AWESOME. the 2 month wait was worth it! So much of good stuff in this. The only thing that bothered me is the clap being pan to the left at 1:30. Otherwise, this sound perfect!

Nice stuff. Very neat. I love the lyrics. And he said: tananananannananaaaaa tanana tanana! The only thing, is the snare. I think is pretty hidden. Maybe that's just me cauz this is not my kind of stuff. But I really love the production. Someone to back me up? Anyway. I think the judge would find the mix pretty empty. The synth are cool but some part seems empty.
