I've been wanting to do a Tekken themed remix tournament for a while now, but a lot of people are getting unfortunately burnt out on compos it seems like. I also want to do some Shaq-Fu remixes... maybe I'll just make a personal album out of that one, since it was one of my earliest games. Both were, actually, and T2 is STILL a favorite, but that one's too close to me to tackle the whole thing by myself for fear of fucking it up

How many positions are open?

I'm afraid I don't understand the goal completely; it sounds like a compilation album, but you call it a competition. What are we competing for? What is the end game of the album project? I see a list of supporters, a list of musicians, and what kind of music you want, but the goals are unclear. Mind expounding a bit? I'm definitely interested (though I'm also very much at the mercy of my schedule ), so any more info you can give about the actual project would be very useful

I'm busting up over here, I just noticed an oddity with the naming from round 4... most of the tracks are "[Robot Master] vs. [star Droid]". Except Hylian Lemon's... his is "Wave Man and Saturn" "Wave Man and Saturn" Let that sink in, and then listen to the track. In my mind, I have this mental image of Wave Man and Saturn having this forbidden love that they were finally able to express at long last. It fits the narrative of the piece absolutely perfectly, and it's probably the funniest thing in the history of ever It needs Jivemaster lyrics

Had motorcycle training till 10 (11 EST)

Agreed about quietness. I only had like 3 hours to do the last half or so of the track (from about 1:30 in the track and on), and I mix at low volumes. By the time 5:00 (central) rolled around, I didn't realize it, and had to do some sloppy 5-second mastering... I'm already doing some other mastering tonight, so I'll try to fix that one up and post an updated version on my soundcloud I guess now that I think about it, I also wasn't intending for the piano to be the lead when I started, but that's what ended up working best to fit the parts. It needs to be more up front than it is, and I usually shy away from piano leads anyway because it's such an expressive instrument and I have such a poor sample

Haha, I'm pretty sure they're ordered by team. You were after the Beat Masters twice and before The Most Handsome Gaul-Durn Devils twice. I've noticed the pattern too

I'm really excited for y'all guys to hear my track from the week. Think Phantasy Star Online meets Metroid Prime meets Tekken 2. Didn't turn out anything like what I had planned since I had to slam out the last half, but I think that's actually a good thing. It's soothing + a bit dark + jamtastic all in one
