  1. YES, FINALLY!! Congrats man, this is crazy smooth. I love it all, the vibe, the synth work, the solo... very cohesive, great stuff! Nuts to think that all of that has happened just in the last year and a half or so. SO pumped for Temporal Duality
  2. Man, yeah, this is fucking sweet. I love how all your tracks not-so-subtly reference the game that the sounds come from, and it's all woven together so well, really really good stuff. I'm particularly partial to the Secret of Evermore (though you already knew that), Super Metroid, and Super Castlevania IV tracks because I have extensive history with those two games in particular, but the Batman one was really awesome too. I mean, the whole album is killer. Check this shit out people, s'wrong with you guys
  3. GO BACK IT YA DING-DONGS! I guarantee the final product will be awesome The music might even be ok or whatever <3
  4. The credits sequence is even shorter than the actual track, so it'll cut out even before it cuts here. There's a lot of work that could be done on the production end of things, but I needed to get it done quick... The strings in particular, are a shitty sample. The only decent one I've got is from Kontakt Elements (and most of my orchestral stuff is from KE, which is pretty lackluster - takes LOTS of processing to get them to sound reasonable). There's a recurring problem with them with the timing too, which I forgot to fix here. They end up lagging behind, a bit, which gets to be annoying. Oops!
  5. Patience, young one EXCITE! COVER ART = VERY YES! I LOOK FORWARD TO ALL TRACKS! Also if you haven't listened to Funk Fiction's (link a few posts back) NGO MY GOD IT'S AMAZING what are you doing with yourself?! Go listen POSTHASTE!!
  6. The anticipation of this album is killing Sonic - literally
  7. Just a quick credits theme I slammed out while I was at my day job yesterday. Over the past couple days I wrote the score for the first part of a post-apocalyptic series of short films my friend is working on, and I thought I'd share this as sort of a preview before I post the completed product when it's put with the video. All thoughts welcome (and ecouraged )! Afterworld: Dead End - Credits Pete
  8. I'm still not all that old, but I've experienced a huge paradigm shift with my thinking and approach to not just music but how I think of myself in the last few years (from ~18, and I'm now 21). You absolutely cannot go into anything thinking you're the shit, that's kind of how I came into OCR a mere 2.5 years ago, and my first submission (though I was pretty butthurt about being rejected) was absolutely laughable (seriously, if any of you are curious, I'd be more than happy to send it to you so you can have a laugh at my expense), just a complete and total clusterfuck of noobiness. But, even though you'll inevitably change and grow as you get older, the approach itself is far, far more important than age in my book. As mentioned before, you have to constantly be checking yourself, looking for ways you can improve, and immediately begin working on anything you find needs improvement in your own work. "Never stop improving" has become my philosophy since I started seriously composing/producing, and it's really only been 2.5 years. To put things in perspective, I'd been using Finale and had NO IDEA that DAWs like FL Studio, Logic, Pro Tools, etc. existed until May of 2011 (didn't even know what a "DAW" was ). If you put the time in and approach music with the right mindset, age has no bearing on your progress and success, and you can absolutely get great results in not too much time.
  9. Better to be rubbed off the wrong way than to not be rubbed off at all, amirite
  10. It is taking every ounce of self-restraint I have not to blow up over all the comments I've seen about the album being commercialized (he said through gritted teeth) EDIT: Fuck it, after reading some more my anger has been diffused by the good people of OCR. Clutch save, community
  11. Hahaha, only getting paid for one of the projects, and it's not finalized (as I said, still negotiating terms). If I'm ever overloaded with work I'll keep you in mind, but I won't be much use to anyone for too long if I can't make some survival money :P

  12. This thing is awesooooome go listen y'alls. A lot of people really thought outside the box (a track with only sines?! and it's still awesome?! gtfo!) and/or brought their A game. It's a doozy
  13. FUNNY YOU SHOULD SAY THAT cause I have to write a game OST in a month, finish a short film score in the next few days, negotiate terms of another soundtrack to write after the first one, and somehow try to find time for some other personal projects in between (and if not in between, then after). SO YES BRANDON, I AM BUSY

  14. UUUGGGGHHHHHHHHH

I don't have time dude, seriously... too much other music to write. these next few months are going to be straight whack, yo

  15. Stop cluttering up my OCR wall you pork lord

  16. You want a match, how bout my face in your ass! I mean, your ass in my face, what's up

  17. Yeah! I did a thing on this thing! Mega killer album if you're wanting to get in the Halloweenie mood
  18. Great fun, congrats to my excellent friends The Beat Masters, and manly team shoulder punches for my Handsome brethren. Looking forward to the next one
  19. This. I don't think turning over a project to other leadership is always the right answer. "Getting it done" and "getting it done right" are two different things, and it's not worth compromising the original vision just to get SOMEthing done, especially when the current album heads are VERY capable individuals. Look, it's in good hands, and people get busy, it's fine. Cool your jets y'all EDIT: If you just want to hear some Zelda tunes and have a Zelda project get done, someone start badgering whoever's running this project. It has quite a different vision, and the concept is a really cool one. It's also been dead for like 2 years...
  20. I'll have a really really cheap one, if you want. There's like 12 of us OCR ding-dongs in there, if you want to stay with us you're more than welcome. Shoot me a PM if you're interested
