Comic books, yes, but superhero movies are a whole different matter nowadays. They have been among the best action movies of 2010's, so there's no reason not to discuss them or to have big expectations. Also that picture, Brandon, is one of the best Batman inside jokes I've seen

What characters are you referring to? I've seen a handful of his movies and none of them fit the description. (armageddon, pearl harbor, argo, that silly comedy/drama...) One thing to note is that in this movie the Batman is apparently supposed to be older&much more experienced than Superman. So we're not talking an "origin story" Batman who is just starting out and enthusiastic, but a more wise&gritty one. A seasoned warrior. So it's a pretty damn tall order to meet.

What I'm personally most worried about is that can he pull off a believable performance and have the authority and commanding presence of Batman- at least in the movies that I've seen him in, he's played quite the opposite characters. I kind of can see him in the role of Bruce Wayne, but a seasoned, hard-boiled fighter of crime... not so much. Haven't seen Daredevil, though. How did he pull it off there? Also the actor's voice is a big part of making Batman believable, and while I'm looking forwards to what he can give us, I also fear that his voice lacks... balls. j/k but Keaton and Bale set the bar pretty high.

That's actually quite funny. Just say it out loud This is one of those albums that calls for a track-by-track review. Mine should be coming this weekend. I really liked Chernabogue's review, agreed with him on a lot of points. I hope the artists visit these review threads often. I wouldn't bother complimenting people's songs if I knew they're not even interested. The feedback given by fans, IMO, is an important part of projects like this, and of course for all musicians looking to develop their skills.

This song is what I've been waiting for- it's emotionally invested and faithful to the original song. I've listened to the 16-bit Coin Song for years since there hasn't really been a worthy remix of it... up until now. I remember shedding a manly tear to the sheer emotional awesomeness of the scene in the game while the original song is playing. Stevo knew how to do it justice. Also, finishing with the other theme is a perfect way to tie the story arc together in a single song. A simple flip can change fate.

The trailer was epic! But since it's getting a praise overload from other people already, I'll balance the scales by saying that I actually didn't find some of the songs chosen for it to be that interesting. Now I love the big production and everything, the songs didn't sound bad... But I wish there had been more emphasis on the most iconic themes. I missed Setzer's theme, overworld themes(the Terra theme was there, though), Cyan's theme, Shadow's theme etc. I may be alone on this one, but I'm a fanboy and wanted more of the epic character themes! I'm sure it'll be worth the wait when the whole thing comes out, though. Ps. A question for someone who worked on the album, is the Coin Song in there? It's a terrible mistake to think that it's just a lame copy of Edgar's theme, I mean, it has a beautiful soul of it's own... Surely it's been remixed?

I thought the flood mixes don't have to be submitted to the panel in the regular way? Or does the flood consist of songs that have already been submitted&yes'd by the panel? Just asking because I remember hearing once that flood mixes are chosen by the album director and sent directly to djp who has the final say on the matter, hence bypassing the traditional submitting&judges panel procedures...
