This is just a masterpiece, through and through! If the Moody Blues had created a Mario Soundtrack, it would sound like this!
-
That made my night!
-
This is really stunning!

This was a lot of fun to listen to! Almost feels like a hybrid of Minish Cap and a Sonic game. I liked the little nod to the Picori Festival music.

WOW. This is an absolute treat - a handling of one of the best themes of the entire game and of the entire FF series, in my opinion. And the remixer crushes it. The harmony playing behind 1:33-1:43, the gorgeous flute over 2:17-2:33 (goodness, the adjustments in that section are worth the entire listen), the little touches around the main theme just sing with emotion. It's funny, but this remix is so evidently handled by someone who really cares about the inherent theme, I didn't even need the description in the writeup. The ending does surprise me a bit, but the ride is so tremendous that even if you think it's different it still delivers. An absolute download.
Checking out the Kickstarter now. So happy to have heard this.
Your comments absolutely make my day.

On July 6, there is going to be a 30+ minute live orchestral performance of my Chrono Trigger Epic Orchestral Medley! If you are interested in CT music, or know anyone else who is, please take a look at this page and pass it along! There's going to be a kickstarter in a day or so, and I'll keep everyone posted!

This is very lovely! It was kind of like a refreshing glass of water!
-
I was going for a kind of romantic classical yet mystical vibe.

Hi! I'm not sure where to send this! But it's done! https://www.dropbox.com/s/wml5ffixg1tiato/Rebecca Tripp - Skies of Arcadia Remix - Rusted Hopes (Remote Town).mp3?dl=0 It's the Remote Town (Esparanza) theme.
-
Okay, so my Remote Town cover is almost done! It's in a kind of Celtic style, which I know it already was- but I took that and ran with it, making it more elaborate and varied, since it is such a short, yet gorgeous track with only two channels.

Here's my WIP for "Remote Town": https://www.dropbox.com/s/95v1gr5d0ha36zk/Rebecca Tripp Remote Town Midi WIP.mp3?dl=0 It's just a recording of a midi right now (it won't sound like that) but I thought I'd share the arrangement so far.

This is amazing! Thanks for sharing!

amazing! I was really curious about the forest temple. I love the forest temple theme, but the original has such an experimental and dreamy touch, it's hard to recreate but I can hear that your harmonies are almost there! respect for finding all those fitting instruments too. good job
did you use percussion loops for example in the gerudo valley theme?
I only just saw this now! Sorry about the two year wait, haha! I never used any percussion loops. Just made everything in midi from scratch or by referencing existing OoT midi. I have another Forest Temple cover now which is much dreamier if you'd like to hear it:
And a lot of other game medleys. Anyway, thanks for your comment two years ago. :3

I love this idea. I've actually done a few orchestral covers of several of the songs you listed, though not exactly in the same styles (apart from the Halloween ones!).

Wow, this is fantastic! Would love to hear more remixes like this one.
Here is a Chrono Cross one I made in the same style (more or less) if you're interested:
Thanks for your comment. I appreciated it.

Can I possibly get in on this project? I just learned about it!

I officially claim Still of the Night.

Still of the Night and Arid Sands are still open, so if you wanna grab one of them (or even both), let me know. We'd be happy to have you on the album!
Awesome! :'D

Hi! I'd still like to do either Still of the Night, Arid Sands or Into the Thick of It if any of those weren't snatched up in my absence. The reason I missed the deadline was because I was originally communicating with another remixer via email, and they never got back to me or informed me that the project had changed hands. Months went by, so I must admit that I forgot about this entirely. Are any of those tracks still available?
-
Well, a DKC2 medley (including Jib Jig) is in the works now! I also did this recently:
That's part of the medley but also a standalone.
-
Well, this is exactly a full remix, but I figured I'd link it to you anyway:
It's part of a long TP medley I did last year. I hope you enjoy!
-
Well the Stilshrine of Miriam is 100% on my todo list.
-
This is something my brother and I are doing together.
I composed the entire arrangement, and he is going to do all the mastering, mixing, side-chaining, automation, etc. This version is just the midi version, so the video only approximates what it will sound like. The synths will be different (and more textured.)
Here is a list of all the tracks included in the medley:
FF5: Sealed Away
FF1: Floating Castle/Flying Fortress
FF4: Within the Giant
FF4: Tower of Babil
FF6: Last Dungeon
FF5: Musica Machina
FF6: Magitek Research Facility
FF7: Mako Reactor
FF5: The Prelude of Empty Skies

I'd like to do a Dragon Quest theme for a Paragon track. I just learned about this today, so I'll get back to this thread in a while!
