  1. PRE-RELEASE TEASER SITE that's right, we're online.
  2. there's this teaser website I have... that's very close to being released...
  3. Ready by the weekend? What the hell? Has anybody been listening to me? How are we possibly going to get all the info together by then? It'll take time to put it all in the site and get it online, and there's testing and stuff that needs to be done first! Anything could happen, you shouldn't make promises like that... I work a 9 to 5, I don't exactly have time to worry about the site right now, atleast until the weekend - and even then I'm in a pretty hectic period right about now. I guess that's my bad luck and I'll have to deal with it, but even then the weekend is going to be a very freaking difficult goal to meet.
  4. I noticed you asking, but it's not my job to organise that stuff, that's up to snapps and KFC.
  5. A couple of tracks on the second cd, info gathering for the website, a PHP conversion of the website I made (somebody was working on this but I haven't heard from them in months - thankfully I just recieved another offer of help), final adjustment of all tracks, finding mirrors, uploading to mirrors, releasing the project. There's probably more that I forgot about too. But the point remains, it's still gonna be a little while.
  6. Calm down people, you're acting like it's gonna come out tomorrow or something. There's still a lot that needs to be done, don't get too excited just yet!
  7. I've had one ready for about half a year, I just haven't gotten any of the info I need from Snappleman or KFC.
  8. It's Hadyn (lots of people make that mistake, don't worry about it), and I'm not really a project manager. I'm just handling website stuff, snapps and KFC are doing all the managing. Whilst I have access to bonus tracks that'll appear on the site, I'm actually trying to refrain from listening to other tracks until it's released. I want it to be a surpirse
  9. Generally speaking, mixers chose to mix stuff because they have their own idea of what to do with it - because they want to be creative in their own way. If you really want to request something specific, or anything in general, really, I think the requests forum would be a better place for you. As far as this specific project goes, it's a little late to really change anything with the tracklist, which was chosen for good reasons (it's all in this forum somewhere), so yeah. I know you're just trying to give advice, but the mixers and project directors are all reasonably competent and all the choices we make are generally for the best. Rest assured, the finished thing will be awesome. ~Hadyn
  10. Snapps, I just realised I don't think I ever wrote off a wav version of my carnival night track. Do you need one?
  11. Speaking of which, I'm always willing to accept more tracks for the website/bonus tracks download section if anyone feels like doing anything.
  12. I hear you Snapps, between freelance, a job at a firm, assignments and trying to get the groundwork done for my own games design team I'm having the busiest month of my life right now! I'm a little glad that there's still some time before I need to go back to worrying about the website... No rush guys, really!
  13. Actually, I think my tone was a little too... elitist. It was like I was telling you how you should feel about it, which isn't what I meant for. I can completely understand people being excited and anxious, part of me's still a little excited too. I'd probably be even more excited if I didn't have so much other stuff going on to distract me right now, but yeah. I can understand the anxiety, I just don't think it's a good idea to lose too much sleep over it, it's coming out eventually either way!
  14. You realise I have a song on it that I worked on for almost a year, and I've made two websites for the project, right? Still, just be relaxed about it. It'll come out when it comes out, no point in stressing over it.
  15. I'm not. I've gotten in the mindset that it's best not to look forward to projects until they come out. Saves a lot of anxiety.
  16. Well, you wanted to know where I was... I'm here. Like I said from the start, I couldn't guarentee my involvement in this project. Right now I'm very, very busy with my life. I have final assignments to get finished and freelance graphics work to get done before I get into a new web design job at a firm in a week or two. I'm doing all this whilst trying to set up plans for my own games design team starting later this year. Needless to say, I haven't had much time to work on my art or music, and sadly I've made no progress on my track for this project. I might finish it one day, but then I might not - it's upto you if you want to risk waiting for me or not... I'm in no position to make guarentees right now, so yeah. Sorry.
  17. Coldfusion.. bad choice. While it makes your life easier to some extent(if you have the right tools) coldfusion servers are rare, and expensive as fuck, even more expensive than asp.net servers in most cases. Should have gone the php route, cheap, easy and gets the job done.(I'm more of an asp-.net person but I like Php more for non corporative stuff) If you need help with Php, you can contact me via msn, and maybe can give you a hand. Hey, thanks for the offer. I had a ColdFusion assignment at the time, so I was killing two birds with one stone. I'm a little annoyed they taught us CF and not PHP too... I mean, when are we ever going to use CF in the real world!? But ohwell... Phase Cactus is currently helping me out... I think. Actually, I need to check the status with him on that - but yeah, at this stage I think we'll be alright. On the other hand, if things change I'll yet you know, I'm definitely grateful for your offer
  18. Great mix of some great source material... very nicely pulled off, everything is done beautifully. Nice work!
  19. Hey! Thanks for the offer, I'd very much appreciate the help Maybe you can contact me on msn? My email is hadynlander@hotmail.com Well, either msn, or you can email me, or something. It's all good. Anything that you can do would certainly be helpful ~Hadyn
  20. Thanks. The flash website's basically been finished for a few months now, though... I've just been waiting on background music tracks ^^; Now that I have some decent tracks, all I need is the info from you, snapps, and it can go online for all to see! The other site though - the coldfusion one... I'm still not sure when I'll be able to switch it over to PHP. I'll aim to get it in time for the project release obviously, but it could be hard. We'll see. I thought I'd clarify now, incase anyone was confused: Flash site = Small info site, with animation and background music and stuff. Has basic info about the project and is designed to be releaesed before the project comes out. Basically finished, just need some info from Snapps. ColdFusion/PHP site = Much more detailed information about the project, contains track list and download locations - is set up so that the project directors can log in and alter/add/delete information such as the track listings, guestbook entries, news posts, links and thankyous, etc. I coded it in a language called ColdFusion, which is what I was being taught at college at the time. The problem is that CF is pretty rare, and servers for it are costly. PHP, however, can do similar things whilst remaining cheap/free to put online. For this reason, I'll probably have to convert the site from CF to PHP, a process that will take a while considering I don't actually know any PHP code yet. So yeah, that's where I'm at... ~Hadyn
  21. For Snapps Incase you missed it. All you have to do is spend five minutes writing something, and the website should be good to go online. Well, almost, anyways.
  22. Sounds good! I still haven't had a chance to look at putting the site into PHP (rather than coldfusion). I'm still caught up in assignments and paid graphic design jobs, but I'll hopefully be able to look at it within the next couple of weeks. Regardless, the Flash website could still go online sooner, as a sort of "coming soon" promo site. I have two very cool background tracks for it which will be enough for starters. All I need now is whatever info the project directors want to appear on it. This includes info for the "news" and "about" pages, and perhaps some stuff for the "thanks" and "links" pages, though that can wait until the project release. It's just that, for the site to be made public, I definitely need info for the news and about pages. I think Snapps said he was going to handle this a while ago, so yeah, if you could, now would be a decent time to write up some stuff. This page is mainly for promotion purposes, more in-depth info will be displayed on the php site later, once I get around to transcoding it. So yeah. Just a paragraph or two about how awesome the project is will be enough ~Hadyn
  23. It's pretty simple, open means that anyone can have a shot at remixing that track, closed means that somebody else is already working on it, and done means they're finished.
