  1. "when it's done" I can't really speak for KFC or Snapps, but I doubt we have a release date yet - we just lost a mixer, so that might set us back a bit. On the bright side, it should be sometime this year either way
  2. Maybe have a few different covers? I'll probably make one or two if I have time.
  3. Good to see it's finally resolved. As for the website: It's pretty damn close to completion. Well, the fancy flash part of it anyways. Obviously it still needs some background music, and there are a few things that I could improve slightly (depending on time constraints, etc.), but it's pretty much there. I still have to work on the bonus feature though, which might take quite a bit more work... But hopefully I'll get it done in time for the project release. It doesn't really matter if it comes out a bit late anyways (the bonus stuff, that is) - it relates to the bonus music tracks, but not the actual main project and so it won't hold up the release or anything. I haven't created a downloads page yet either, which is probably the most important part... Before I work on that I'll need to recieve comments from everyone about their tracks (if they want to give them, that is), and I'll also need to get the download locations list from KFC, and I'm assuming that doesn't exist just yet. As a note, I'm pretty sure both project leaders already know, but I better point this out just incase: I'm making the site, but you guys are going to have to organise finding a server to host it yourselves. I'm purely the design guy, I can't host any of it. Hope that's no problem. Well, that's about it... Stay cool people, ~Hadyn
  4. Info update about the site: It's almost fully functional - I just want to add some more content, make it look a little shinier, and add sound effects. I'm still yet to add the bonus feature, but I should have it done in time for the project release. The site still needs it's own unique soundtrack. I have one or two artists who have finished their other tracks who are going to write some stuff for it, but I could do with some more. If you're interested in writing a short, background-music-ish track, let me know via PM. It will be used on the site, and (as long as KFC's okay with it) it will be featured in the Bonus Tracks section of the page. Cheers everyone, keep rocking.
  5. Thanks Rexy, that's great ^^ Now, do you think it's fair to say "Presented by OCR"? 'cause I mean, essentially it is presented by ocr... right?
  6. The first version of the site is about a week away. There have been some very big changes (ie - everything) since the demo I posted a while back, but i'm sure you'll all like what I have... provided I make the deadline. If people want, they can each submit a short paragraph about their song which will go up as a song description on the site. I only need a few for now (just as placeholders), but would like to eventually have something written by each artist. You can pm me with what you want to say about your track. Cheers. ~Hadyn
  7. Now for an update from me. I'm getting back into my carnival night track, trying to make it more interesting and quite a bit longer. It's going well so far, but progress may slow down a little due to the shear number of other projects and favors I have lined up right now. With any luck I should still make the deadline. The website will also be done within the month. I'm working on a redesign that I'm sure you'll all love, provided I can get it working alright. I'm also working on some special "bonus content" that not even the project leaders know about yet. That might take a little while, but should be done easily in time for the project launch. That's all for now - keep cool everyone, ~Hadyn
  8. if it's too close i'm sure we could always release it later, spend more time on mastering and all.
  9. Oooooh, glad I read that. I didn't actually make plans for the bonus cuts section of the website. I completely forgot about it ^^; I'll make sure to write it into my plans now I won't do any more major work on the website for atleast another week as I have a more new, more urgent assignment that involves programming in Flash - it'll keep me busy. After that I also have some dodgy film editting assignment, but then I'll have a few weeks dedicated to the site. Officially the site has to be handed in to my teacher on tues 13 september... Wait a second, that's like... 2 weeks... oooohhhh, whoops, read the wrong date... Damn, freaked out for a minute there. It's actually tues 27 september, which is a month away. Don't hold your breath though as an extension may be in order, and even if I hand it in to the teacher on that day I may still add some things before it's finalised. Expect it finished in early October. So yeah. That's my update for now.
  10. haha, yeah... But compared to what I can do nowadays, that was reallllllllly lacking. I might do a newer version sometime, but probably not in time to make the project. Gotta get Carnival Night done first ^^;
  11. That's my philosophy exactly Whilst Sonic's appearance is more extreme these days, it's still the same old hedgehog we all know and love. So yeah, unless god (or KFC) tells me otherwise, I'm gonna use modern pics. Might even draw some of my own if I have the time. Thanks for all the other feedback so far. I'll wait for word from one of the leaders and then I'll get a move on with making it all flashy and stuff.
  12. I've also been following sadorfs' work on this track since the start, and I've got to say it's awesome to hear it finished, to see that all his hard work has paid off with a great track. Well done!
  13. Yeop, I'm planning on having a small pop-up page thing for each track. Here's the first test design: I need your feedback! What parts are good? Does anything need to be changed? Is it crap? Should I start again? Does god really exist? WHAT IS THE MEANING!? Uh, yeah. Speak, peoples, I need your opinions! ~Hadyn edit - oh, yeah, keep in mind that the page background will be BLACK. It really doesn't look as good with the OCR grey behind it, so yeah. If you set it as your wallpaper with a black background or something you'll get the idea ^^;
  14. So I've given it some thought and decided that we should have the following pages: An animated Flash intro sequence A home/news page An info page A media page A credits page And a links page These pages will all be made as a Flash website, though there will also be an HTML version of each page incase some people are still living ten years behind the rest of us. The intro sequence will essentially be my own modernised version of the S3&K intro. The news page will be updated with news about the project once or twice before the project is released, then it'll likely become redundant. The info page will contain information about the project, the game, and all that interesting stuff we care so much about. The media page will be where the downloads go when the project's released. The credits page is just what it sounds like, And the links page will link to OCR and various other sites that relate to sonic or the project. I may combine the credits and links pages together. What I need to know now is what the project's going to be titled. Did we decide to go with Project Chaos? I think it works, considering the chaos that's gone into putting this thing together... but, you know, that's just me. So yeah. What's the go? ~Hadyn
  15. Hey everyone. So here's the latest news from my end: Due to working on some pretty massive college assignments (such as http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/21805984/ )I haven't yet been able to swork on my Carnival Night track. I should have some time in the near future to work on it though, so everything should be fine. My second piece of news is that, though I'm still confused by last month's events (with me being dropped then brought back and all), I've decided I will make the website for this project. I have an assignment to make a Flash website, and so I thought I'd take this oppertunity to help you guys out at the same time as doing my work. Two birds, one stone. So what I need to know is what kinda stuff the website is going to have on it. I think we should keep it rather low on content - maybe five pages, similar to Kong in Concert and Rise of the Star. Hell, the new Doom project has a pretty good layout. But yeah. I'll come up with my own ideas, but input from the people and especially KFC or Snapps is definitely welcome This is going to be the best project website OCR has ever seen. I promise that.
  16. What the heck was the point in quoting that? I asked if you recieved an e-mail I sent you earlier, and it was over an hour without any solid answer. Of course I got impatient, it takes less than a minute to check an e-mail account, even if you're busy. That, and you said nothing about being busy. You said "lemme see" implying that you were going to check, then didn't say anything for over 30 mins. So yeah. If I sound impatient I think it's fair. Glad you got the files either way, but geez. Talk about a pointless post.
  17. I guess I'll have to accept, then. Thanks, it's nice to be back. I wasn't really using Snappleman as a scapegoat, it's just that I know he's heard all of my WIP's, and I've had more luck getting into contact with him then I have with you, so he knew a little bit more about where I stand then you did. He seemed fairly keen to keep me on the project, so I thought I was pretty safe. All of this said, I may not have a new WIP for a while. I'm sitting on three major assignments right now and one of them's an animation project which is taking up a hell of a lot of my time. I won't be free for a month or so. That said, I may still find some time in that period, but realisticly I should be spending more time on homework. It doesn't matter a whole lot though, my Final Boss thing's practically finished, so I can send that one to you soon (i'll use e-mail). As for carnival night... hmm, since ellywu left me, I guess I'll be doing my own drums. If anyone has some decent industrial or rough-break kits, they could really come in handy. Like, seriously. It'd be awesome. Cheers people. I'm a little bit happier today =P
  18. Half the problem seems to be our inability to discuss things on msn, so this is the only way it'll work. I'm done though. Just want to wait and see what Snappleman wants, then that's it.
  19. "Make me stay?" Yeah, right. You said I was out and it was final. You don't want to make me stay... And I didn't twist your words: I paraphrased a little, but that's still what you said, and it's still what you meant. You didn't want to talk. According to msn logs I've messaged you six times, which is a bit higher then your count... And it's not my fault that I never saw you online incredibly often. Like I said, different time zones. You're the project leader. You're the one who needs to go out of your way to talk to me. I know you've been making cuts, I've been posting here, but I don't check the first post every time I visit... That would be ridiculous. You have to make an effort to talk to someone before just cutting them. Send a PM, maybe contact me on MSN, but don't just cut me and use a message on the first post as an excuse for doing it. Here's how it goes. If Snappleman wants me on, I'm on. That's it. Edit: Oh yeah, and I tried to show you my carnival night piece too. Me: "have you heard my latest carnival night WIP? I want to see if you think i'm going in a good direction" You: "It needs more percussion, blah blah blah" Me: "I think you're listening to an older wip, I posted a new one about half an hour ago." You: "Oh, Ok. Give it to me tommorow though, I gotta go soon" And I even posted it a few times in these forums, so yeah. I don't know. Maybe I'm being too harsh. I just really haven't had a good past 24 hours and being cut from this project really isn't helping that... Like I said, I'll see what Snappleman wants to do. He runs this project too. I think cuts should be discussed with him. ~Hadyn
  20. I have talked to you, but every time I try you end up busy or just plain non responsive. It doesn't help that we live in completely different timezones, either... If you haven't seen my WIP's then it's your own damn fault for not being involved enough in this topic or project at all. Hell, people who aren't even part of the project have been more involved than you. Plenty of people have heard my work. I even finished final boss. I whacked on an ending and at the very least I showed it to snapps. You know what happened when I tried to send it to you? "please, no, send it tommorow i gtg" Yeah, that really sounds like my fault, huh? and your reason for not accepting the transfer was... drumroll... "nah, i was just lazy". And then out of the blue you say you're removing me and it's final. No warnings or suggestions, nothing. I don't want you to take me back, I just want everyone to see that you're the most hopeless project leader in the history of OCR. Thank god for Snappleman, or this project would be entirely screwed. Oh, yeah, and about the website I offered to make... screw that, you can make you're own. Same with the album cover art. As long as you're leading this project, doing you're own stupid little things like this, I want nothing to do with it. You don't need to fire me. I quit. And for those out there who support me, don't worry, I'll be submitting my finished works to both OCR and VGmix when I'm done. Cheers for the support, if I didn't have you guys I'd be even more pissed off with KFC... EDIT: Oh, and yeah, for those of you fortunate enough to still be on the project: if you need critiques I'm still glad to have a listen and offer any advice I may have. Just PM or whatever if you want to
  21. If it's final, then it means nothing I can say will change it... Comments can come out here, in the open. You can't just tell me I'm pulled and then give me no reason. I've worked DAMN hard on this, so let's hear it. What's going on?
