  1. OH wow, that kind of came out of nowhere, eh? Cory Monteith died... sheesh. oh and i guess the disney thing too
  2. For some reason I don't feel we are going to get input from Stevo before I send this in, but no worries, the crits from Will and I are probably sufficient to go forward, if not we might have to tweak it later -_- But at any rate it's solid IMO to move forward with, I need to make the site and box everything up to send in (the release package)

  3. Changed! Sorry. New file says 215px height but I couldn't confirm here.

  4. Some of those might have even been on a Nintendo console, but we're talking about developers, not systems. Sorting by budget is also irrelevant, some of these are indie, some of them are blockbusters, the budget does not affect how colorful a game is. They don't pay by the shade. Amount of violence and blood is irrelevant. Personal misrepresentation of games is irrelevant. I'm done here.
  5. Oop! I need to get working on that website fast. Everything came together faster than expected, even Chernabogue's awesome trailer, now I just need the site and to tag all the files and send it off to the bort.
  6. You lost all credibility. Here's a few more Devil May Cry Tales of Graces F, Tales of Xillia, etc, Eternal Sonata, Star Ocean 4 (or series), Bastion, Fez, Borderlands 1 and 2, Brutal Legend, Braid, Darksiders 1 and 2, Dishonored, Fable series, Hotline Miami, Mini Ninjas, Orcs Must Die 1 and 2, Remember Me, Scribblenauts, Sonic Generations, Sleeping Dogs, just to name a few. Some of those might have even been on a Nintendo console, but we're talking about developers, not systems. Sorting by budget is also irrelevant, some of these are indie, some of them are blockbusters, the budget does not affect how colorful a game is. They don't pay by the shade. Maybe I misread the entire point of this conversation to mean colorful games, not fisher price games.
  7. Easy. Ni No Kuni and BioShock Infinite. I could go on and on.
  8. You not seeing colorful games is not the fault of other systems or publishers, you need to broaden your focus. Nintendo isn't the only developer making colorful games; they're the only developer making exclusively colorful games, but that's different.
  9. I think Pikmin 3 was the only thing that really looked good or detailed from Nintendo on the Wii U according to previews, I haven't seen the game in action yet. NSMB Wii and its sequels also looked bad, upcoming Mario 3d World looks bad.
  10. Graphic quality isn't so black and white, it's not a jump from Nintendo's bland and undetailed graphics to brown shooter graphics. Having brown shooter graphics is not the only other option for Nintendo. You can't rationalize Nintendo's games looking bad by saying "Oh well at least they haven't gone brown." Honestly. It's like you people give Nintendo an excuse for anything.
  11. Tomb Raider YES. HELLS YES. If only to see your hilarious first achievement review. But it's also a well-made game. Strong recommendation, you can count me in.
  12. People who bought Civ5: Brave New World got a free copy of Civ4 because it was wrongly put on sale, maybe that's why you got it? /sob no free games for errbody
  13. For what? WHAT?! And which game was it, Toki Tori 2?
  14. Yo dawg whassup? :-D Were you done with your Bionic Commando, should I grab that wav? Let me know!

  15. Double post! 1. Bionic Commando pack is $5 on Steam right now, includes ReArmed (the remake of the NES original) and the fairly new game that looks pretty good, watched my bro beat the game once. 2. Chernabogue made an awesome wip of the trailer. It is awesome. Very excited about everything coming together very nicely! 3.
  16. Oh I put it on MY wall. LOL!! Go there and read it! :-D

And Willrock said you should credit the original composer, who was Junko Tamiya

  17. No no wait~ Smoke! SMOKE!!! Not fire :-D Hey, where'd my last message go? xD

  18. DUDE!!! I can't overstate how awesome this trailer is. Do you have any stock fire to put at the end under the credits (like along the bottom maybe?) to spice that section up a bit? This is da tits tho! I'm putting it on youtube unlisted so I can check it out again when I get home and easily send it to stevo and stoof to check over the data before it's done!

  19. YARRR!!!! I think djp and larry should be executive producers too, not actual producers >;p

YARRR!!! I'm TAKING OVER YOUR VISITOR MESSAGES!!! Cause my Pm box is full.

  20. COOLNESS!! I'd put halc's name first since he did the cover, apart from that it looks goshdarn sweet, short but effective. :-) Short. SHORT!! :P

edit: also could you actually move the clip of mine to the non-metal part in the middle? Or even pick a different song XD Totally keeping the metal secret if possible :P

  21. Pre-note -- you could definitely look into http://www.youtube.com/nonprofits instead of regular partnership for youtube, as previously stated by the artist formerly known as Damashii!! --- I can understand if they thought it would be seen by the public as a bad thing, but it isn't, and assuming ocr monetized stuff purely based on partnership status would be wrong. It doesn't just automatically work. The only way I can think of it being applied automatically is if OCR uploaded a copyrighted work (usually detected as video or audio owned by a copyright holder) and it would be an ad for that company. But that's something that could happen right now anyway. I'm actually surprised there aren't already Nintendo ads on Nintendo remixes, since they've monetized fan works. Here's a little run down from my own channel that shows what you have to go through: You have to go through 4 steps of activation. I've circled step 2 in red, because it is easily the most time-consuming part. You have to register for AdSense (OCR probably hasn't done this). You get a special "pin number" from Google that is mailed to you, which takes a number of days. It takes some serious effort to complete the monetization options. I think it's safe to say that OCR couldn't "accidentally" monetize the remixes if they became a partner. EDIT: Adding this in because I didn't notice it before. If you HAVE to monetize a single video for the partnership to be possible, it might be a good opportunity for OC ReMix to branch out a little on the youtube channel, video-wise. Put up an interview with the man djpretzel talking about the history of OC ReMix, maybe throw some Larry in there. You could monetize THAT one and I don't think anyone would mind, it would meet the requirement of 1 monetized video, it would be legal, and any possible "money" made from the monetization of it could go back into the site. You could also use it as your "subscriber preview" that people who are not subscribed to OCR will see. Barebones; two dudes, a boom mic, a couch and possibly a potted plant or two. Shown here are the "upload defaults", settings that are applied to all future uploads. I've truncated this a bit to just show basics + the monetization section. As you can see, I have mine set to be on by default for all uploads. You can uncheck it here and it will be off / disabled for all future uploads. I think this would be a good thing for OCR to try (becoming a partner) Here is some "support" for youtube partner information: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/1075910?hl=en If you try this for ocremix and decide it's not for you, I think you can cancel your partnership by replying to the email stating you don't want to be a partner anymore, or contact support there and tell them. I haven't tried it and I don't want to test it out and see if that works. EDIT: Just found this under "Overview" for the account. Looks like disabling ads here would knock them out dead regardless of any monetization settings: So perhaps you could have a monetized video without actually enabling ads. ///////////// On another note, I'd love to volunteer to find / upload source music for site V6's source tune integration, and help out with ideas on the visual aspect of the new youtube video / thumbnail if you guys are open to it. I'm sure Jose has that easily under control though. Also how do I get The Wettening listed on the album database? I notice you have some by The OneUps and some other albums that weren't released on OCR. All but 1 of the songs passed the panel and is coming to the front page! And I might still change that last one so it'll fit! someday
  22. I honestly don't know, I am going to think bionic.ocremix.org but I will double-check with Stevo to see if that's an URL we can grab. :-)

  23. YAR!!! How's dat trailer going? :D

  24. Someone needs to make an acapella remix using only growls. Low growls, high growls, screams, shrieks, pig squeals, etc.
