  1. Sweet solo! I'll vote when you review my album you said you'd review a couple years ago.
  2. But Square-Enix allowed that random guy to make that kind of decision!? Down with SE and such.... !
  3. Did I really say that? But I've always loved this song. Just goes to show how much of a trendy peer pressure sheep I was back then.
  4. Wow! I didn't even know, somehow. :/ Congrats, yo!
  5. While I appreciate the very generous offer, there's no way I would ever feel comfortable with that kind of thing unless your studies somehow lead you to become a millionaire. In which case I'd hope you would buy a PSP for EVERYONE! But yeah I won't buy a PSP and Crisis Core unless I find a ridiculously low-priced bundle of them for like... $20 or something.. it could happen.
  6. Nah mane, Square-Enix is the new Capcom. I'd consider a bundle like this if it was all digital downloads on PC in addition to the physical versions that all run on a MODERN system instead of obsolete ones. For example, if they all ran on PS3. They'll probably make a little bit of cash with this but I just see it as another nail in the coffin.
  7. I was about to make an OA birthday thread when I saw this one you made for Aibou. I thought, "What the hell is an Aibou?" Anyway... happy birthday OA. 'Tis a shame you didn't get more birthday wishes in your OCR thread, but you know how it is.. jooj hate. Plus nobody knows what the HELL an Aibou is. Sounds like a dopey way of saying "eyebrow"
  8. I skipped the line cause I'm a OCR Super Supporter / VIP. .Edit: I was kidding, I am not special. Nobody called me out on the joke and I saw the thread got moved to a MORE SERIOUS subforum. So... there it is.
  9. At the risk of sounding controversial as usual, I tried to get a PSP emulator once but I don't think they exist. I would have loved to play Crisis Core. If anyone wants to let me borrow their PSP / game combo that would be great. Mail it to me, and I'll mail it back. Insure it of course and package it well. Should be fine. You can find me address here but let me know in advance, also I'll make you 3 remixes of your choice (nothing ridiculously hard please) I vaguely remember seeing some of the ending on youtube, might have been like the one flashback scene in the original FF7. But yeah I don't remember, I'd love to play it but no way can I afford a PSP or the game, especially now that the PSP isn't even fresh anymore (Vita incoming) Or will they port it to the PSN? That'd get me.
  10. You are awesome and I hope you stick around and post and do cool stuff like that!

  11. That's possible, like how most of the early adopters of the PS3 did so because of the FF7 tech demo I didn't disparage it, I just did not mention it or even think of it.
  12. I don't know what this means also I think you've killed the meme.
  13. I never played Crisis Core, it was released on an obsolete and dead system.
  14. The only good spinoff or sequel was Dirge of Cerberus and the FF7 movie. Those were awesome. Every other sequel / spinoff / etc has been absolutely terrible. And they are doing it on purpose as far as I can tell. Also where is the FFX 10th anniversary remaster? It was due last year.
  15. Where is FF Versus 13? That's the only 13 one that actually looked good. I might just go New Game+ on Blue Dragon instead. I've been needing some good RPG.
  16. This project is a myth, just like Kirby SuperStar and DKC3
  17. If anyone ever wonders why I hate Square-Enix so much, it's because I honestly feel like they are ruining the legacy of all of the pre-merger games by Hironobu Sakaguchi and Nobuo Uematsu. They can't even do a proper port of the music and have this horrible 2012 FF7 MIDI... it's embarrassing, it's the worst kind of Call of Duty monetization, and I hope "SQUARE-ENIX" goes out of business sooner than later.
  18. The only thing I can think of is if anyone sampled the music for their remix. I'm not sure if anyone did but if so that'd need to be taken out. The artwork is original fan art and the trailer isn't started on yet, so there's probably 0 problems for ff9.
  19. Unplugged Month Theme for this month: No distorted/electric instrument samples, acoustic stuff only. All keyboards set to piano samples. Electric acoustics ok without effects. No pedals. Songs will be due on Wednesday, September 26th at 9:00 PM Eastern US time. The rules for Dwelling of Duels can be viewed here. Here are the important rules: Main entries must be a cover, arrangement, or other reworking of a song from a video game. The main instrument of each song must be "played live", meaning that it must be a real guitar, real keyboard (un-quantized), real trombone, or other real instrument that you're actually playing. Two minutes in length. Send all entries to dodsongs@gmail.com with all needed info (Remixers, game, sources used, link to song, etc) DISCLAIMER: Dwelling of Duels is not an OC ReMix competition, album project, nor is it endorsed by OC ReMix in any way. More information can be found at www.dwellingofduels.net
  20. Just to be totally clear cause it's still a bit confusing, you mean the gameplay footage we can use is this? Or like this
  21. What a terrible company. And they just announced a $500 box set of all FFs between 1 and 13. Still just monetizing the older properties they inherited and have no idea what to do with, and keep diluting and ruining their reputation. Oh well. I didn't use any sampling or anything that would be an issue. You should use footage from mistwalker games for the trailer. (Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, The Last Story, etc). It wouldn't make sense but at least they would understand the fan service. Koichi Ishii who directed Secret of Mana quit Square-Enix a long time ago. Hiromichi Tanaka who directed SD3 quit Square-Enix in 2012. If you follow the names you'll probably see that most people who were involved in any of the good Squaresoft games have up and left Square-Enix. I'm sorry for the ranting but Square-Enix has really become a terrible and reprehensible corporation, not because of what they're doing to OCR primarily but because of the last few years of what they have been doing, their constant monetization of re-releases and disrespect for fans. Bloated productions that take 10 years (FF Versus 13) then a game that is somehow a complete disjointed mess (FF13) shows a tough future for the developer. They've published some good stuff though but it's easier to say they've been lucky as a publisher. I think they are out of touch which would explain why their own games and business ethics are poor. Sorry for the rant. But seriously, just have the trailer be black with white text on it. But Square-Enix would probably C&D you for that too, saying you are ripping off a Cloud Strife dream sequence. If this is how things are going to be going into the future, I'm expecting to see a lot more artistic trailers that have little to no visual connection to the game they cover. And in a way that is VERY SAD, but it's also interesting. I'm excited to see how you guys tackle this. I think too much compromise has taken place with this new deal. I think September should be support OCR month and the new Kickstarter should be cancelled and any negotiations and compromise with Square-Enix should be reversed. "If you give them an inch, they'll walk all over you" -- it sounds like Square-Enix has already been given a mile. No offense intended at all towards OCR or djp. I'm sure you know more about working with companies than I do. But this really bites, you know? And it's setting a really bad precedent.
