  1. I clicked because I am bad butt. This is the summer of bad butts.
  2. If there's anyone wandering this wasteland of a forum, who has good experience with AS3, please contact me.
  3. ^ This guy's working through computer problems too! Lack of recording fills me with such an emptiness that I want to die!
  4. I installed my FF7 PC and then the Remix mod from that huge file they linked on the forum at Qhimm.. It looks pretty nice. At this resolution, the backgrounds look pretty horrid though. The other stuff is very nice and smooth. The video editing is a bit ridiculous but I can live with it I guess. Yeah, if regular people can do this, Squeenix could probably make a beautiful remake within 6 months or less. o_o (not including the time it takes for music and voice acting, but yaknow)
  5. They should make an event out of it. Have 7 Nekofrog mixes, one per day in a week, and have one big Nekofrog party!
  6. Egad, Brain! If only I'd known sooner. I'm in the middle of deep stuff right now and can't join you for the second half. I do have EoL and have been listening, it is nice though. So congratulations to everyone involved and have fun with the remainder of your listening party.
  7. Where you moving to, fella? I'm in south-western PA about an hour from Pittsburgh.
  8. Hopefully the shipping isn't TOO high, I don't exactly have a lot of cash either.. but let me know for sure what it will be and hopefully I'll have enough. Thanks.
  9. Weird. I'll go start the money transfer then from real to digital. Thank you Edit: It takes 3 to 5 business days. I had $4.98 in there so I requested $11 from my bank. I'll let you know when it comes in. Thanks for your patience.
  10. You can't be serious. Is it broken or something? It'll take a couple days to move the funds from my savings to my paypal, but I'd take that if you're serious.
  11. You probably heard Hoboka, but I've got some issues and I won't be able to record until I figure out what is wrong. o_o Having said that, I am extremely happy with the 2 songs I've claimed and I'll be overjoyed to have the ability to actually work on them when the time comes. recruitmentrecruitmentthispostisaboutrecruitment
  12. I just installed an old USB Toneport UX1 that was laying around... If I set it as the audio device in Cubase, I can record with it but I hear no audio... if I set the audio device to my speakers I can hear my music but there's no Toneport functionality. So... I don't know what to do there, you can't choose dual audio devices in Cubase for some weird reason. I need an interface that can both record and run the audio through my speakers. o_o
  13. I really appreciate it sir, sorry for the hassle. :-)

  14. Understatement of the entire thread. Welcome aboard awesome doods!
  15. I'm a little confused when it comes to USB vs. Firewire. I know they say firewire is better. I'm not completely sure why my firewire Alesis interface isn't working. I'm sure they wouldn't release drivers if they were completely nonsense. Is there a way I could tell if it is a problem with the computer instead of the interface? It worked ok with XP but then again what didn't. xD
  16. That looks great. It's a good $70 some dollars more than the Edirol... Have you tested it on Win7 64-bit personally or have you heard about it?
  17. That's pretty incredible, my good man! Nice work.
  18. There is literally no similarity at all, apart from a horn and a fluff of hair sticking in almost the same direction.
  19. I was going to buy a PS3, which I almost just finally saved up enough to get, but I decided to hold off and buy the Xbox360 Kinect bundle later in the year. My opinion would be YES. There's never been a better time to buy an Xbox, though I'd suggest waiting for the Kinect bundle if thats your thing.. if not.. get the normal one.. Kinectimals demo scared my cat so I dunno how well it will work out here.
  20. My amp head has EQ in it, and I've set it to treble only with full presence... it was incredibly scratchy. It didn't damage the cab. What I meant was that you could do EQ through your DAW or whatever your audio is coming through. I don't know if it will replace an amp, cause like I said, I never tried to hook a cab up to a computer. If you've got a nice interface with good volume boosting, it might work. I would recommend asking at Guitar Center, because they usually have some kind of keyboard hook up there attached to an amp or monitors that is usually quite loud. They'd point you in a better direction. The cabs you need are probably much smaller, and in the shape of monitors.
  21. Big bummer. Believe me, I installed the 64-bit Win7 drivers for the Alesis io|26 and it is pure disaster. It doesn't work.
  22. It's not the size that matters. It's the motion of the remixes. (at least that's what the smaller projects believe)
  23. For years, I used a set of Dell desktop speakers. Now I've got my TV hooked up to the RCA Stereo. It goes up to 30 but I never take it above 15, if that's any indication. Most people think when you're making music that you HAVE to get some huge high-def set of monitors, but that's not true. Sure, you can grab a nice set of Mackie's, but you'd probably be just as good with an RCA Stereo or loud desktop speakers. Now if you're talking LIVE like you leave your room and go places and need that kind of amp, I don't know if you need an amp head or if you can just use a cabinet with the laptop? I've honestly never tried that. You can tweak the sound coming from your cab with EQ though, so the several cabs I've tested really didn't make too much of a difference for a live setting in the end. People are gonna say I'm crazy for saying that. But with enough tweaking of settings, you can get a good sound from a lot of cabs. My B-52 at-412 sounds great.
