  1. Thank you for reintroducing me to some classics such as The Waterfall from Super Castlevania IV and Ethereal from Mario Paint. I actually forgot about Ethereal. I think your rendition is refreshing and it almost reminds me of something out of EarthBound. I don't think I've ever heard any ambient music on OCRemix. Maybe they exist and I just haven't found them yet.
  2. My brother likes Metroid and Metroid music, so I decided to share it with him. I really love the atmosphere in this remix. It makes me think of the colors jet black and light blue.
  3. My personal opinion is that the piano has too much delay in it in the beginning. I'd cut the feedback a little lower. Also, from the sounds of it, the velocity sounds like it's the same for every note, making it sound mechanical. Humanize that so it has a more realistic feel. If your guitar is the same, do it with that as well.
  4. I really like the calm beginning and how it progresses. The bass is yummy. I don't know what Nu-Disco sounds like, but if it sounds like this, then I like it. I also like how this track has a familiar tune but also separates itself from the original theme. Nice hint of Pokéballs at 2:02 and 3:59, by the way.
  5. This was enjoyable and relaxing. I like jazz and I like Chrono Trigger, so the two together just seemed to have worked out a lot better than I had anticipated.
  6. I felt the original was a lot more exciting. Your remix kind of just sat in the same spot. I thought it was going to go somewhere else, but it didn't really change. I personally like the overall production of it, but I'm not in that profession to say that it can use a few tweaks. I took the time to transcribe the beginning melodies and the build-up that are in the original track but are missing in your track. You don't have to use them, but I think they'll make your mix a little more recognizable. Try to make your remix build up to a point where it just goes all out. What you have now is fine, but give it more progression. http://www.mediafire.com/download/da5dylaed0blhtz/Cargo+Bay.mid
  7. I'm Uffe. The "u" is pronounced "oo" and the "e" is pronounced like the "e" in pocket. Anyway, I started composing music back in 2005 on Finale NotePad, started composing on an FL Studio demo in 2009, and was given the full versions of FL10 and FL11 later on. I haven't composed anything seriously for about two years and I figured I'd start again by remixing. Let's hope I can stay motivated long enough to produce two different tracks. I'm transcribing one at the moment since I can't find sheet music or MIDI for a particular SSBM BGM. Anyway, I'm not all that great at EQing and compressing, so hopefully I can learn something here.
