Man. What a nerd Anyway, why do the record companies mix the cd's to have this high a volume, then? I mean, what's the idea? What's the advantage of making a cd louder?

So the site would be a good place to host sticky threads - cleansed from unimportant info. Like I said, I'd like to see a list of requested songs/games without having to read each individual post in the requests forum. The same goes for what Geoff wanted, and the sample request thread.

Do it. OCR is so much to so many people and yet it could be so much more. The forum is a forum - doing what you're suggesting would really turn this into a community, in my opinion. Expand your empire. I don't know what you're planning on in terms of logins and such, but it'd be cool if the forum logins could somehow be synchronized with that of whatever you're planning on making, in case having usernames and such is of relevance there. One thing I'd like to see is a more organized list of requests - that forum is a mess and it would be much better if there was a list that included all current requests and perhaps a voting system so that people could see what game/song is most requested, in case they're interested, similar to this. the Coop's OCR quirks could go there too, if he wants it to. There could also have some kind of OCR history there, telling the newbies about the great flamewars, without having to worry about assholes editing wiki entries and such. I think that that would be an interesting read, but maybe it's best if the new site only comprises sound/music related thingies, I don't know. Hey, how about OCReMix music videos? Hahah I'm not saying any of this should be done right now, but it could be eventually. I'm looking forward to this happening.

Making MIDI's since 1993, starting remixing at... hey, what counts as a remix anyway? Maybe at 2001 or 2002. Of course, the first MIDI's I made were more or less accurate transcriptions (à la VGMusic.com) of game music...

Yeah, Coop, that's pretty much what I had in mind. There's still no great hurry to finish the "what are" guide, but if you could do it this week, that'd be sweet. I'll be busy these days, doing this and that, trying to make the most of my last days of vacation this summer. I'll start working again next week, and then I'll have more time for the project again (ironically enough).

I'm not sure many of the bios are 100% done yet, I'm afraid, although most of Polo's, Watkinzez' and Linearity's work are done. The Coop's stuff is finished, too, I think, but we'd like to implement his longer versions somehow, either by providing a link to them in the primary bio, or some other way. Also, that "edit and processing period" I wanted was mostly to go through things again and to establish a definite layout for the bios. Now, LT has created one already, and I think it works, with a few exceptions. I want the character name clearly visible (as in the current layout in this thread), and the character image to the far right. Here's an example (pardon my poor image editing skills). I trust the layout is editable so that if one bio's layout is edited, it applies to all bios? Hm. Hey, LT, how about this: I read through the bios one by one and "flag" them in the first post list by making the entries in the list into links to that bio. That way, you'll know which bios are done, and as you add them to the wiki, you'll flag them by adding the word "Wiki" next to every entry you add to the wiki in that same list. That way we'll know what's going on. Meanwhile, I'd appreciate it if every one in this thread informs me if there are issues with any bios, your own or others'. My Doom Trooper bio definitely needs a brush-up! Also, I dib Dr. Wily. Watkinzez, Naked Snake has already been done (or has he? I'm so confused. ) , twice, and both times were pretty bad, so I'd appreciate another try there. Thanks.

Hey Nineko, how do you say "Chaos Compendium - Crescendo of Catastrophe" in Italian? Is there a way to do that so that every word starts with a "c"? All of the words in that title are Italian or Greek anyway. Except the word "of". Dr. Wily has a different BGM every time so I guess bringing him in wouldn't be a good idea. Shodan, maybe? ... I wonder if there's a game where God is the last boss.
