  1. YOU PEOPLE? </obligatory "you people" over reaction>
  2. ok, but what's the point? seems like a waste of CPU time when you could just apply the effects and mix down. unless they're using the EQ for room effects or something. in which case that is cool. (note that i didn't actually listen to the podcast, nor will i. i have shit to do.)
  3. Pilotwings 64 - YES One of the best console flight sims ever. Plus, the music is totally rad, yo. One of the most fun parts of this game is going in the free modes and just finding all the cool little details they hid everywhere (like inside of caves, or across the U.S. on that america level) Also, hang gliding is super relaxing, until you miss the 4th loop for the 10th time and throw your controller through the screen in anger. Ahh, good times! Duke Nukem 3D - YES NOTE THAT I AM VOTING YES FOR THE PC VERSION OF DUKE NUKEM 3D AND NOT SEGA SATURN. Duke Nukem 3D was so ridiculously over the top, and in some cases downright insulting (especially if you're a Doom fan) that you simply have to play it at least once in your life. Oh, and the gameplay was badass too. More games need functional in-game strippers, damnit. Star Trek: Starfleet Academy - YES Probably the best Star Trek game ever made. This game brings back so many memories. The singleplayer campaign in this game was pretty fun, and quite well done if I say so. But where it really shines is the multiplayer. Me and a bunch of friends used to play it at LAN parties and we'd have mass chaos, everyone blowing the shit out of each other, omg mayhem, etc, and then there'd always be the one guy off by himself using his tractor beam to pull the space dock into the nearest star. Bwahahaha. Cyberia - borderline YES While this game hasn't held up quite so well over time, when it came out it was fucking amazing. It easily had some of the best graphics of its time, and the storyline was long and involved, with nice little action sequences and puzzles thrown in from time to time to keep it fresh. I must have wasted HOURS on this game in my youth.
  4. oh ok. wait wut? ANOTHER VICTORY FO oh forget it i gots nothin but love. now back to derailing. oh wait. ps: c wut i did there?
  5. oh shit, i know what we're missing. some new nominees: PC Fallout (1997) Fallout 2 (1998)
  6. the problem isn't the frequencies or bitrate or whatever. the problem is creative's consumer grade soundcards have the worst analog/digital converters ever made. they vomit noise.
  7. remember when i campaigned for OCR janitor and nobody paid any attention? i felt bad for the people who actually read my sig spam.
  8. Final Fantasy VII - YES Was there ever any question? Diablo - YES Diablo is easily one of my favorite games of all time. Who would have thought repeatedly clicking on the same palette swapped demons over and over again would be so fun? Plus Cain is so totally doing a Sean Connery impression. "Shtay a while, and lisshen." Everquest - NO I think adding MMORPGs to the 'must-have' list is kind of a bad idea. And if we are going to add them, lets not add ones that have held up as well as Joan Rivers. Everquest was mediocre when it came out, and trying to go back and play it now is like trying to jerk off in a dirty river. Have fun getting the tapeworms out of your dick.

  10. Battlefield 1942 - YES Pretty much invented a new category of FPS games, and did a damn good job of it if I might say so myself. One of the most fun multiplayer games in existence. Plus there were some awesome mods for it (most notably Desert Combat). Doom - YES Though IMO Doom 2 was better, Doom pretty much catalyzed the FPS genre and made it mainstream. Painkiller - NO Painfully generic FPS game. There is nothing "must-have" about this game. Tekken 3 - Borderline NO Tekken 3 wasn't bad, but I wouldn't consider it really "must-have." Tekken Tag Tournament or Tekken 2 would be better additions IMO.
  11. Silent Hill - YES Easily one of the best horror/adventure games ever. I'll never forget the first time I went into the nightmareish school and got accosted by one of those deformed kids. Half-Life - YES One of the best FPS games of all time. Singleplayer was freaking great. Multiplayer was badass. Plus some of the best mods for any game ever were made for Half-Life. I'd vote for WarCraft, but IMO, while WarCraft was a good game, WarCraft II completely blew it out of the water. Has WarCraft II been nominated yet? If not, I nominate WarCraft II.
  12. i made a tiny little nintendo vsti. http://hosting.thasauce.net/suzumebachi/nintiny_vsti_v003b.rar it's by no means perfect, but maybe it can get the job done. i've been meaning to work on it some more but i just haven't had the time.
  13. if you have "hide extensions for known file types" on, you are flipping retarded.
  14. Call of Duty - YES Call of Duty is easily one of the best WW2 shooters out there (the only one that rivals it IMO is the original Battlefield 1942), and essentially one of the best FPSes outside of the Quake, Doom, and Half-Life franchises. The single player campaign was fantastic, and the multiplayer was fun as hell also.
  15. Mustin, Trenthian and JJT seem to be doing pretty well also. Mustin's been in the top 5 movers on last.fm for 3 weeks now. And last week, Trenthian was #2 (right behind Kanye West) and JJT was #4 (right behind Leona Lewis). Isn't that crazy?
  16. it doesn't just delete your bookmarks, it deletes ALL your profile information. bookmarks, settings, cache, cookies, etc. all of it kaput. EXTREMELY annoying.
