    No! Stick around, please.
I'm flattered, but I understand. It is intimidating to have your work standing with other mixers. Comparison is rarely kind. Last year, I worked with Wassup T to make something for the OCR Christmas album. We had fun, but there is/was some seriously impressive stuff there. But please, don't let the comparison stop you from mixing. Keep moving forward, make new songs, learn little by little. You'll keep getting better.

Huh, I was about to quote my first-post Rule Page, but I realized that I neglected to add the stipulation: "Try to avoid making comments about other people's submissions until the Voting Process concludes"...But that's my bad for not putting it in there.  Bundeslang relies on that Rule for PRC, it's to avoid seeding ideas into people's minds that someone's work isn't as good as the rest, which can create a Voter Bias of a sort.  Thanks for reminding me haha.
Also, win or lose, I hope our feedback is helpful.  If not, then hopefully you'll have had at least a bit of fun.  Nobody here really goes by the expectation of winning, otherwise, I think they'd have dropped out a long time ago.  You'll find your groove and rest assured, you'll win something.  Can't really force it.  I used to think this way at PRC until Bundeslang gave me roughly the same pep talk. (edits)
I hope this helps and try to stay sane in this crazy ass time we live in.

    Hey everyone!
Decided to go for an old-time favourite and make a piece based on the Russian Folk Song "Korobeiniki", better known as the main theme to Tetris.  Had a lot of fun making this.  Decided to use Franz Liszt and Mikhail Glinka as inspirations for how to use the melody and how it related to the background accompaniment!

    Good day!

This year I have composed a soundtrack for a game called Kari: Stranded on the Shores of Vanaheim. The album has 24 tracks and spans over 1 hour in total. There is quite some variety here with different genres altogether.

Feedback or thoughts are welcome! Also approachable for any question.

Hey everyone!  In December I'll be releasing an album called 2021XX.  The music on this album is inspired by the awesome music and overall experience of playing the Mega Man X series.  The album features 2 other musicians, MajinBlue and Ryan T, as well as some phenomenal artwork from Algibraic, Togeshiro Azami, and EternalComposer.
The album started as a free exercise in which I composed theme songs for people (for free) in the classic MMX style - using original synths heard in the SNES titles.
I plan to trickle some uploads to my YouTube channel, and then a full official within the month of December.  There's no official date set as of right now, but it'll certainly be before the new year.
The entire album will be completely free to stream and download.  I'll have it up on YouTube, Bandcamp and SoundCloud for listening and downloading.

I know this forum is a bit niche, but I thought you lot might be able to appreciate this.
Here is a little announcement video, complete with corny cheesy scrolling text, and previews of some of the music.

    For Better Rendering Results
With an instance of Play (East/West VST), at the very top of the Box, open the Detailed Settings>VST Wrapper Settings and move the Input port to 1.  For every instance of Play, it'd be Input port 2, 3 etc.  But try to keep at most 2 instances at any time.  Every instrument that you load into your Play VST should have a designated channel.  Try to avoid Omni, unless you don't mind layering sounds etc.  Create a MIDI OUT channel for every channel you have.  On the top of the MIDI Out Box, you'll see channel at the top left and Port on the top right.  Make sure that the Port is set to 1, so it receives information from the Play VST.  All of your instrumental MIDI data should be on the MIDI OUT Channels, not the Play VST. Put Play onto a Mixer Insert of your choosing.  Then create another Mixer Channel called BUS.  Then with the Play Mixer Channel selected, hover over the tiny knob at the bottom of your BUS Mixer Insert, once it lights up, right click it.  Select route to this track only.  This way, the Master Track isn't interacting with Play VST, which is noted to cause a lot of rendering issues.  I personally turn off Ensure Processor State in Playback in Processing (but ONLY for Play (East/West).  But sometimes I Bridge the VST.  Play it by ear, if you get trouble.  Make sure you're using ASIO4All.  Unless you're MAC.  Accessing MOD Wheel and Expression Controller.
Caveat: I only know how to select the Omni or MIDI 1 of any MIDI controller per Channel.  So this is a half-measure at best, but it works nonetheless.  There are probably some MIDI Out tricks you can do to get better results.  But I haven't looked too deeply into that.
View>Browser>Current Project>Generators.  Find Play (East/West VST).  Left click it.  Scroll ALL the way down to the Grey, Translucent Midi CC's.  IGNORE ALL THE White parameters!   Typically CC#1 is the Modulation Wheel.  CC#11 is the Expression Controller. Right click on the CC#1 and select Edit Events in Piano Roll.  Go to the Piano Roll, at the bottom Left, where Control is, you now have a new Note Property, called CC#1 Modulation Wheel!  Now you can go crazy! Same process with CC#11.  Enjoy! THIS is why sometimes, I need 2 instances of Play, since I can only access Channel 1 / Omni for Editing Events.  Kinda sucks, but that's why I like to use the BUS + Midi Out processing strategy, so you can reduce the power hogging effect of Play VST.
