No worries, I haven’t forgotten about you, if you have entries It will be featured in the next round.
You have plenty of time anyways, as ThaSauce is down at the moment.
To all participants: Since ThaSauce is down, I’m grateful to add an extra week to get submissions in. If ThaSauce still doesn’t work, then use this thread for the time being, and we will await the fix. Bearing in mind 1 week is not a requirement, and the actual deadline will close about 1 week of ThSauce’s repair. Sorry for the inconvenience folks and good luck to you all!
  3. Thanks

Seems fair to add an extension since ThaSauce is off at the moment and that might reduce time to remix a source. As for you, i hope you make a swift recovery. Thanks anyways.

I played an extremely obscure game called 'The King of Dragons' last week and want that to be my arcade choice. Second NES choice is 'Ninja Gaiden'. I'll try to think of more later. Sorry for the late response.

Looks like ThaSauce is down. Nothing shows up apart from an error message, regardless of which page i go to.

Often the most controversial topic, as there are so many ways to approach it. Even i get some things wrong, and end up with a poorly produced mix. If you really want some tips, i'd suggest you try this topic, as many people provide some great ideas. It might not work for you, but give it a shot, it could come in handy. Oh well, good luck. You really do have the potential to make great music. Again i'm no expert, and i get things wrong, but i'd thought i give my two cents.

    Results time
    TheVideoGamer posted a bonus mix.
PlanarianHugger gets the last place wooden spoon with 10 points.
And the winner of PRC387 is Bundeslang with 12 points.
Bundeslang congratulations. Your first PRC win without winning the golden spoon (default win or tied win). You may pick the source for PRC389. This round will be a single source round. Send the source to me (with a MID/MP3 file, otherwise send a second source with a MID file) by PM, other options are PM me @ ThaSauce or by e-mailing to bambombim@gmail.com (I prefer a PM @Ocremix). Send your sources as fast as you can, but within the next 5 seconds, so before Monday (18 February 2019), 11:21 AM ThaSauce time (18:00 UTC, 19:00 GMT).
You may select any source from any game, but not a source with an OverClocked remix or a source which has been used in PRC before. An overview of the past PRC's can be found in the following links (I recently updated this site):

Hello all and welcome to the fourth edition of Spin the Wheel! A fun way to showcase appreciation of soundtrack based music in Video Games!
Today's video game to remix is here!
Be sure to read the rules here! This is to help brush your knowledge about the compo!

    Current games in the wheel:
Last weeks winners was Ronald Poe! Sadly he was unable to provide me with 6 games to put into the wheel, so we will continue as normal. If by the off chance he does send me some games, i will use this for the next round. Despite the fact i haven't got any games from him, he can still only participate with a bonus mix, but has a vote that counts twice! The ones highlighted in blue, was the recent choices made for the wheel (2 rounds ago)

    Lets SPIN THE WHEEL!
It landed on NES for a change!
The random game that was chosen is.......
    Silver Surfer!
    Download available MIDI files here!
    https://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/nes/
Search Silver Surfer! using Ctrl + F! This game lists 5 midi files, to remix with!
There is sufficient material to remix this score. The soundtrack itself has roughly 6 remixable songs in the score.
    Listen to the Soundtrack:
Information about the Game and Soundtrack:
Silver Surfer is a video game released on the NES in 1990 by a company named Software Creations. While not a fantastic game, with heavily divided opinions on weather it's good or not, it did showcases a rather difficult learning curve, and of course a high amount of praise for it's music, which is often considered one of the best in the Systems catalogue. Based on the Marvel character of the same name, it features the Silver Surfer as he trails through different levels shooting enemies and fighting a boss, just like any other standard shooter. It wasn't innovative, and many cite it as the worst in terms of gameplay. It's not the worst game ever, otherwise the music would also add to the experience, and of course many people claim it to be the best on the NES. The sound was done by Geoff and Tim Follin, often claimed to be the best in the Oldskool video game sound department, making countless memorable soundtracks loved by people. They are brothers, and often work together or go there separate ways depending on what happens. The music is a combination of some classic chiptune rock n roll, and occasional synthpop, acid house/techno pieces like in the title screen. They used all 5 channels and managed a rather impressive selection of sounds without the use of PCM, something many people are most impressed by.
Compo starts Today at 15th February 2019! and finishes at 1st March 2019!
Voting begins on the 1st March 2019 and finishes on the 8th March 2019. I will inform you who has won on the thread!
Please submit a valid mp3 file, in decent quality that is less than 20mb. It must be easy to access and download. A ThaSauce page will be set up soon, so if you can then submissions. It's been an on/off situation with ThaSauce, so SoundCloud is a good choice if ThaSauce isn't working for you. Right now nothing is set up, so submissions will have to be external from this thread, via download links, or streaming services. I recommend using SoundCloud as a choice of service! Add a link here on this thread, if you can.
You have 2 weeks to mix! Let's see what you have come up with! Good Luck!
Ronald Poe won last time, and as such can only participate with a bonus mix!

    And it is over!
Our entries included a Submission from Ronald Poe
Considering he is the only one, who has participated:
Ronald Poe is the  winner by default for SPIN THE WHEEL 3!
Congratulations Ronald Poe! Since you won by default, you get to decide 6 games that can go into the wheel, one for each system. Just to clarify it's 1 game, per system, not 6 games for one system! One for each system listed below.
Before you submit your games you must follow these rules:
Do not submit a game that is already in the wheel.  Try and go for games that haven't as many remixes Make sure it's re-mixable, but of course it will be anyways lol. Make sure the games you pick, have over 5 tracks long at least 30 seconds or more. I cannot accept games, that don't contain music or a sufficient number of tracks. It's customary to provide me a link to the soundtrack, weather it be YouTube, Dailymotion or whatever. If not, then i will. Please PM me the games, i want this to be private. List the choice of games by the name of the system. So if it was X-Men, that would be classed as a Sega Genesis game and would be placed under that heading. It's also optional to list the composer, to help with the info. What i need is essentially one game from each system listed below.  I want these entries by next week Friday 15th February! Once you have sent the me the games, next round goes up ASAP. I will review the choice of games to make sure they are acceptable. Below is a list of games, currently in the wheel. When your games have been chosen, expect to see a couple of games be swapped, for the next compo, which is on the Friday 15th of February. This will be highlighted in colour (Or colours depending if there is multiple winners).
The 6 video game systems are as follows:
NES SNES Sega Genesis PS1 Arcade  PC  Current games in the wheel (This will change as i receive games from the winners):
    https://docs.google.com/document/d/1xxoGX4bS2_q_URpN35K8b9oGn1zogHiRxLarik38IZU/edit?usp=sharing
Please send me these entries via PM, with each game listed underneath each console. So i'd put it like this if it was me: Name of Game, followed by Name of Console. I need this by Next Sunday 6th January.
Congratulations everyone, i will see you next time!

    Welcome to the voting stage
The mixing stage is over. This round has 2 songs and 1 bonus song by TheVideoGamer. The following people entered:
    Bundeslang
    PlanarianHugger
(if you want a different color, let me know by replying or sending me a PM).
Bundeslang and PlanarianHugger both get the 3 point bonus for using both sources.

    To vote, do the following:
    ·       Visit the stated ThaSauce Page and listen to all the entries.
    ·       Scroll to the form at the bottom of the screen or click PM.
    ·       Fill in the entries from first to third in the ThaSauce form or fill in your top 2. Do not vote for TheVideoGamer.
    ·       State a reasoning for it.
    ·       Participants are encouraged to vote and leave feedback. However, they may not vote for themselve, they get a free first place if they vote, so it doesn't matter for the results.
    ·       Always look in this thread to find out who's the winner of the round after the voting stage instead of only looking at ThaSauce for the results. Especially since some people might vote by sending me a PM.

You have until THIS Monday, February 18th 10:59 AM ThaSauce time (17:00 UTC, 18:00 GMT) to vote.
If you vote by PM make sure that your top 3 is clear. I prefer something like this:
    (To)
Bundeslang (if you follow the link you won’t have to add my name).

    (Subject)

    (Message):
    1: (remixer A )
    2: (remixer B )
    3: (remixer C )

I will post the feedback given in the PM’s and the votes in this thread. The winner may choose the source tune for PRC387.
