Search Spyro the Dragon using Ctrl + F! This game lists 21 midi files, to remix with! It's the original Spyro the Dragon, non of it's sequels.

   Information about the Game and Soundtrack: 
Spyro the Dragon was created by a game company known as Insomniac Games, published by Sony, released in 1998. The game involves a cute little dragon named Spyro, who has a buddy named Sparx. Your objective is to recuse other dragons who have been place under a spell by the evil, Gnastly Gnorc. The game was one of the more popular titles for the PS1, and after a few weeks and months, it went on to be one of the biggest selling PS1 titles, launching a franchise still, known and loved today. The music is unique to other games, as it was composed by Stewart Copeland, who began life Drumming for the Police. Yep, you heard me, he was involved in the ever so famous 80s group, The Police. The soundtrack itself, is very much a Police soundtrack, with many of the reggae style slow peices, coinciding with the more uptempo rock and funk. For a game, that you would expect have a orchestral sound, is actually more rock (Sometimes though, i suppose some elements in structure and rhythm, could lean into the classical territory) It's a really great score, it would be interesting to see what you make of it.
Compo starts Today at 25th January 2019! and finishes at 1st February 2019!

Please submit a valid mp3 file, in decent quality that is less than 20mb. It must be easy to access and download. A ThaSauce page will be set up soon, so if you can then submissions. It's been an on/off situation with ThaSauce, so SoundCloud is a good choice if ThaSauce isn't working for you. Right now nothing is set up, so submissions will have to be external from this thread, via download links, or streaming services. I recommend using SoundCloud as a choice of service! Add a link here on this thread, if you can.

Whelp.  I subb'd.  I did throw my hat in the ring before for shits and giggles.  So I guess I'll cross this bridge another day.  Maybe next round I'll throw that poll up.

I recommend Soundcloud, don't forget to allow downloads to enable me to upload the song at ThaSauce. I will keep using ThaSauce as the place where all songs are located.
If you want to use ThaSauce, the following steps should be done.
Click the ThaSauce Link. Click the 'You are not logged in' button in the upper right. Click on 'register' (at the bottom). Read the terms and click 'I agree to these terms'. If you don't agree with them, upload the song somewhere else and post a download link as mentioned above (by doing that, you allow me to upload the song at ThaSauce. Continue the process by filling in your information. You will get a question to confirm that you're not a robot. Here are some possible answers: Name a compo: PRC Who organizes One Hour Compo: Starla Name a ThaSauce subdomain: compo.thasauce.net Who created Mega Mans: Capcom A confirmation mail will be send. There might be some issues with it (meaning that you don't get it), if that is the case, upload the song somewhere else as described above.

After uploading your song, please check if your song plays and can be downloaded and played without problems. Only upload MP3 files.

The deadline is Wednesday February 13th 2018 at 10:59 am ThaSauce time (18:00 UTC, 19:00 GMT), check the ThaSauce page for the exact time left. Make sure that the song is uploaded to ThaSauce or that there’s a download link posted in this thread. You may enter as many mixes as you like and work with as many people as you like on each mix. You are free to create a second ThaSauce account for that if you use ThaSauce, it's needed to be able to upload a second remix if you use ThaSauce. Of course you can also upload it somewhere else and put a download link in this thread. Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted in this thread. Mixers cannot vote for themselves but if they vote they receive a free first place vote added onto their score. The winner of this round may select the source for PRC389, the round after next round. The winners of PRC383 and PRC384, TheVideoGamer and Dudley Ghost both can participate by remixing the source selected by the other or remixing both in one song. As I said in my entry I'm new here, but this is neat and I'm happy to be involved!

I edited the ThaSauce page for this, there are only 4 hours left.

There are a few things wrong with the original provided MIDI:
1. The tempo is written at 148bpm, the MIDI that was presented was written at 115bpm. It wasn't on the grid when i loaded it in, so i knew it was converted than done by ear, which isn't the most practical way to sequence MIDI.
2. Instruments were selected at random, instead of the most logical
3. The hi-hat track is a mess.
4. It's a little lacking in areas, and some aspects sound odd.
5. Drums are missing snare and some toms.
6. A bit quiet in some areas, remember the Genesis didn't really have much expression, so a lot of the sounds were mechanical. The closest to expression is the attack on your synth sound.
The original MIDI can be used don't get me wrong, but personally if you really want to achieve a more accurate cover, and less problematic track, my MIDI fixes all the problems.

Guys, if you are interested, i made a higher quality midi file of the track. It's written in it's original tempo, and was not done using a converter. Use it if you wish, Honestly i think it's much better than the other one, as the original midi file appears it to have some problems. Anyways enjoy!
