  1. Is there a timeframe for when a quarterly update will be made available for 4001+ ReMixes?
  2. HOT. DIGGITY DOG. Thanks to this thread, I actually listened to the whole of SuCaBro. And DJ MIX by Global-Trance is getting loaded to the car stereo. We'll be driving around town with the windows rolled down, thumping around downtown in the minivan -- what's up! Seriously, this album made my day today. And will probably be there for many more days to come. (Have never been into EDM, and these will probably not be all-time favs, but it is still such good stuff!) EDIT : recommend converting from VBR to a constant-bit-rate for the car stereo (as for any long-running track, most of you probably know why...)
  3. It looks like there has been a change to the forums, and there are now 14 ranks from "Newbie" up to "Grand Master". But it looks like everyone (including DJP) have the "Newbie" rank. What are these all about?
  4. Have really been enjoying a few tracks from Thieves of Fate (and have been very thankful for those here who have kept the torrent alive, as the direct download no longer works). https://ocremix.org/album/10/radical-dreamers-thieves-of-fate
  5. Will there be a quarterly update sometime in 2021? There have been 200+ additions since the 1-4000 torrent was released (and I am lazy, and do not wish to download them all individually). No pressure. I can wait. Just curious how often the non-mega torrents are released.
  6. Some kind soul has put all the removed ones on github: https://williamjacksn.github.io/ocremoved/
  7. Well, even though the link is still broken here, someone has put this on SoundCloud (and you can download it now, too)
  8. Hey, just wanted to lend a word of encouragement. I am always a bit disappointed when a Kickstarter does not meet its goal, so sorry to hear about that. Listened to several of your tracks and they are really very well produced. Quality stuff. Maybe you would also be encouraged by some tunes from a friend of mine: https://benkoch.bandcamp.com/ "a cure for the song shaped hole in your heart" was created for use with the Navigator's Topical Memory System "it's a song thing!" roughly corresponds to the Self-Confrontation course from the Biblical Counseling Foundation These are very different from your project! The subject matter is similar, of course, but there is very little in the way of production; some are little more than the ukulele and a mic. But thought you would enjoy them anyway. "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword" Hebrews 4.12! I wish you the best with your work here. Will try to follow as this project goes on!
  9. Nice. Also, looks like there are tags for "vocals-male" and "vocals-female." That is great for the online search! (but I guess there is always a possibility that data will be incomplete)
  10. @DevsmanHow do you search for remixes with lyrics? (I tried some time ago with downloaded files, and a text search for "lyrics" turned up... well, hundreds of them. But I was never really sure if that search was conclusive.)
  11. It has been ONE YEAR. Really enjoy listening to the playlists you all put together, because it often leads to some amazing rabbit trails. Thanks to@LuckyXIII I have now been introduced to RKO. (There is a lot of listening there, and it is WORTH IT.) There are a few items on that playlist that I cannot find anywhere: #45 - Traversing the Ngori - Ambient People - Ambience Again (4:50) #46 - Into the Ngori - Ambient People - Ambience Again (5:31) #60 - ACCIDENT - Mysterious Secret Room - Super Mushroom (8:53) For this next one, I identified a few candidates, but am wondering if your copy is from some other source? #90 - Dream of the Shore Near Another World - Yasonori Mitsuda (2:33) Piano version by Kara Comparetto (2:19) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIraiwX96jE Chrono Cross OST (2:26) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MV-FvxoR1PQ Thanks! Have really enjoyed this!
  12. Is is possible to update the link to this track? I know it's been a long time, but this is just so good, and now we are not able to listen to it anymore. Thanks!
  13. Oh wow. I do enjoy it. The original piece is obviously a favorite, and your arrangement is very fine; it certainly brings out more of the sad emotion from this piece. Well done! I hope you submit this one, and can work through any advice the judges have to offer.
  14. Yes, it does clearly change with the number of posts. What ranks can be obtained? Is there a list of all rankings, and how many posts (or content count) must be made to attain a particular rank?
  15. This is still a very relevant program, especially with the recent quarantine developments globally. Here's a little something from Tom's Hardware that I saw had been aggregated by SO earlier today: https://www.tomshardware.com/news/folding-at-home-worlds-top-supercomputers-coronavirus-covid-19
  16. Having the http/https prefix on there has been rather annoying. (The car stereo I frequently use will slowly scroll the album title because it is just a little too long for the display, instead of just showing it briefly and moving on). Like Radiowar said, even if one is using a different media player, it is nice to sort by album, tap "o" and jump straight there. No complaints here.
  17. Well, I seem to have attained the highly desired rank of "Chocobo (+20)". But what does it mean? is there a list of the various ranks? (A quick search on this forum, and even a Google search revealed nothing.)
  18. I see it noted there in your music archive from 2004. Is this still available for download someplace? (Your website is very nicely organized. I intend to start listening through some of your work in the coming days.)
  19. Thank you for responding! (and thank you for making this remix in the first place) Was this posted here at OC Remix, or maybe elsewhere? It is still available online?
  20. After listening to all the tunes I could find from Lufia and Lufia 2 on OC Remix... and the VGMix archive... I am still trying to track down the artist/album for this particular one. This one is longer than many on OC Remix (6 minutes), and contains several distinct parts (hence the themes & variations, which I am not sure was part of the original title). We must have first downloaded this as kids sometime in the late 90's or early 2000's. I just keep coming back to it, and would like to finally track down the artist who made it, or the album it is part of. Any help or guidance on who made this would be appreciated. Thanks! (For those who have helped earlier, yes, this is my third such request this year, and it should be my last for awhile. Only had three unknown songs in my library. Tried to space them out a bit to not be a pest.)
  21. May I have my named changed from "JonathanDavidArndt" to "Jonathan David Arndt" (only difference is adding spaces between the words -- this forum software knocks off the last few letters and puts them on their own line in the left panel -- looks all weird) Thank you!
  22. I'm so sorry... I have asked a silly question, and I should have tried looking it up first. (I've listened to the music for a long time, but am still a total noob to the FF franchise and RPGs in general.) Had no idea these titles were related. Thank you for shedding a bit of light on this confusion.
  23. Thank you for posting the rest! I'll try to find the rest of these and listen through. (Prescription drugs do indeed do wonders. Good for you, too!)
  24. That is so great! My debt to the community has been paid! (well, not completely, obviously... but I was recently helped with this kind of song identification as well, and I am SO HAPPY. Such a great feeling.) Maybe, mark the title of the thread as "[SOLVED]", or "[FOUND]" or something, so it looks like we're doing something, and making progress.
  25. You know, I feel the same way. I have never been diagnosed with anything, but anytime I'm really depressed or just feeling down, this ambient/electro stuff really helps me so much. Really soothes the racing mind. I am not anxious anymore. I used to very on edge about a lot of things, and that has finally vanished completely. This is probably due to many things, but what Paul says to the Philippians often comes to mind, and really rings true: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." I had no idea this site existed 20 years ago (but my brother & sister and I have found a number of tracks in our mp3 library from the late 90's that originated from OC Remix, so I guess it really has had an impact on me for that long!) But I have been listening to this collection since 2016, and am so happy for this place. Now I'm totally going through and recreating the playlist from @LuckyXIII (are there more than just the 52 tracks pictured in your post above?)
