  1. I hated Sandopolis Zone because: 1. Too frikken long 2. Impossible to find any giant rings 3. Scary ghosts But I liked the music. Especially for act two, when the bass line became much more loud, deep, and driven. I was even thinking that it would be fun to write a remix of it (of course it would be a midi, which means there's no way I'd ever get it on the site >P). Even though this was act one, I still liked it alot. I mean, it was quite slow, and possibly a tad bit boring at times, but it had a certain level of coolness to it. And then when the tempo change came and it went faster, the coolness turned to energy and got me pumped. It was really cool; I could tell from the beginning that this was a song you either love or hate, but I love it =D
  2. Alright, overall I liked it alot. But I have some criticizms. --I absolutely love the beginning --The horns aren't the greatest --Piano is great around 2:00 --make that 2:35 --Strings are great overall --Still horns x.x --percussion sounds great --4:10 horns a bit sloppy --love the harp at 5:10, flute at 5:15 Overall, the pads weren't all that real sounding (especially the brass), though the strings were quite fine. For strings and percussion, I have no complaints. Brass definately needed some work. Theoretically, in strict terms of the arrangement and not the sound, it couldn't get better. Serious hats off to you. Find some better horn (trumpet, bone, french horns, low brass etc) samples, or even better, get a live band to perform it. See if your local high school band is good enough. Other than that, great job =D
  3. I love it. I can't say any more than that, for it's unexpressible. Incredible. I never thought of both those songs sharing such a similar chord structure. Geez I was howlin' over that. Superb job =D
  4. Oh wow... Beautiful. I was gonna try to arrange this song for piano until I heard this. It's no longer necessairy now. Absolutely stunning. My only complaint was that I thought the beginning could've started out a little slower and softer, it would add emotion. that's it though. Mad propz yo. Great job.
  5. That was live, right? Beyond the fact that all the instruments sound incredibly real, the communication was pure in that. To be able to synthesize such communication is truely a feat. Jazz was always meant to be spontanious. If you were able to digitally produce real jazz, i'm througally impressed. Beyond the fact that this is an incredible mix, it just sounds so real. The guitarist plays something, I hear it echoed in the drums and organ, and even in the bass as well. This sounds real, I would be thouroghly impressed if this was digitally produced. Then again, it could mean that real music could be replaced sometime soon... hopefully I'll get a job before that happens =P yeah 10/10 phenominal
  6. I really like this song, it's a great swingin' feel, and an excellent arrangement. You really grasped the feel with this. With the flute though, it sounded more like a quartet o.O. Anyway, the only criticizm I have was that I though the drums sounded too busy at times. I loved your perception on the themes from 1-1 and 1-2, though, quite good indeed! =D Edit- I just thought of this. Last night, there was an all day playing thing at my school to raise money for a charity. So my friend and I were playing the mario theme (me on vibes, him on bass). At the underworld theme at the fast part, I knew I couldn't play it. So I just went into a heavy blues and we just jammed. It was great =D
