  1. wonderful piece! glad to see it posted here as well; as many people as possible should listen to it.
  2. Love it. The synth lead is too piercing for me, but otherwise...yeah. Excellent string work.
  3. Woo, more GL stuff. Intro is almost angelic, sounds like Enya but feels like it's rising to something bigger. The opening beat at 0:19 is interesting, as are the chimes that soon follow. I like the strings at 0:24, very cinematic and strong. Percussion shifts well at 0:34, setting the tone for a new section. This next section bounces around a lot, very interesting once your ears get used to it. The bassline is alright, no real complaints. The rest of the song varies a bit but it's similiar to the first parts. I like the background vocals that return. The ending is a little sudden with that final hard drum beat. I might get used to that and like it as I listen to the song more often. My main complaint is that tempo and volume often shift without much warning. It has a definite cinematic feel which shifts from soothing to strong and back. I like this the more I listen to it, definitely worth a download.
  4. around 1:16 the tempo changes with the introduction of a bass and later what sounds like a distorted guitar. it's almost too soft but it lends a nice background as the pianos come back. I really like the bass here, seems like you've spent some time on it. it does its own thing while following the other instruments at the same time (especially around 2:19). At 2:23 you add some more percussion elements which again keep the song interesting without taking over. Around 3:23 is an organ and 3:32 a sax while the drums switch to hi-hats while...lots of instruments keep entering and exiting and returning. No complaints with the ending. This whole song is just a school in variation, melodically and instrumentally. Top notch work, especially with the drums.
  5. Interesting interpretation. I didn't like it initially (mostly due to the drumbeat) but it grew on me.
  6. Wow. Haunting, emotive, poignant...uhh, I'm running out of fancy words. Wonderful stuff here, I dig the snare cadence in the background. Only complaint is the length, which isn't too bad as it keeps the song from getting repetitive.
  7. Lots of variety, lots of different synths used to keep the track entertaining...very well done. I'm a fan of Dale's orchestral arrangements and basically thought that's all he really did so I was pleasantly surprised to see his take on electronica.
  8. Rockin. Like djp, I too thought of The Clash when I heard this. Think ya coulda done more with the drums, but it's really excellent, already one of my favorite remixes.
  9. Niiiiiiice. I really enjoy the last half, the tempo picks up but doesn't destroy the song's feel.
  10. dig it...interesting take on the Zeal theme. great music to play when it's raining.
  11. Don't know how I missed this remix...it's sodding gorgeous. Lots going on here...best way for me to describe it is coherently busy.
  12. Count Floyd says, "veddy skeddy!" Vincent's original theme is creepy royale but this is what it should have been. I actually got kinda scared at 4 AM in a quiet, empty house while listening to this for the first time, haha. Wonderful work.
  13. in a word, poignant. subtle at first with a smooth transition into full-blown orchestra...dig it.
  14. One of the most replayed remixes in my playlist...it's just incredible. I liked the transition around 1:40 but had no idea it was Schala's theme...nice to see it's yet another layer from CT/CC. Exceptional work.
  15. Interesting! As said above, much liberty has been taken with the original melody, but it's still a really pretty song. I think you really had something going with the first half (that soft drum beat is niiiiice). Echoing what pretz posted, the changes and transitions afterwards are a little jarring in a relatively short song (at least to me), but overall the orchestration is clean and beautiful. I likes it.
  16. Indeed. Great guitar work but it's just kinda there for a long time. This would prolly be great music to smoke out to. =P
  17. Dig it. Very good remix of a song I already liked. Smooth all the way through, starts out a little strong but the ending is complete.
  18. The intro heartbeats were a nice touch. I recognized the melody pretty quickly which is a big factor for me. Subtle, clever, with a lot of variety...great work!
