  1. Very sweet remix. Anyone looking for something to chill with on a bad day won't be disappointed with this one Great use of instruments, nice compression with the sounds, and the whole concept just sounds so stunning. Along with Beatdrop's Deep Damp Sandcastle, this could easily become one of my preferred tracks in the Sonic and Knuckles collection. While we're here... is there anyone out there that can provide us with a Doomsday Zone remix? ;
  2. Like Marmite! hmmm... yeah, I think it has that James Bond feel with its drum beat, which isn't a bad thing and making it longer must have been a possibility, as most of the great ones I know go for around five minutes. And MarcStar, you're welcome for accepting our reviews.
  3. Quote me wrong, but I think this is a remix of Liberi Fatali. I find it a bit short in places, as well as a bit midi-involved, but it didn't really bug me as such when listening though. A few more effects to be rolled in and we should have had a winner here. [edit: ok, I'm wrong, it WAS the ending theme! *gives a handshake to Google* -.o]
  4. hehe... when I heard this remix I was instantly surprised by the use of effects here. Some of which even made me crack up laughing, like the chipmunked Craig David voice sample at 0:31 and the tone-bent piano somewhere in the middle. If you wanna wake up so badly and/or have had a bad enough day/week/life already, this is your remedy!
  5. This remix seems to be a pretty interesting take on the Ice Cap Zone theme repeated several times before. Like the harps and panning within the piece, as well as the sound bytes of jumping and grabbing rings inbetween. ^.^ But, as stated by Eccles, if the introduction was cut out this remix would have been perfect
  6. I was surprised by this remix of the Lifestream tune, and it was one of those many tracks I've been waiting for a chance to listen to for a while now. Very wise selection of instruments (some of which even tickled my nose ), and a great use of dynamics here. I thought they used too much treble somewhere, but that's just me. Overall, a great remix, if not perfect.
  7. You must be mad O.O; ahem... I first heard this track about four months ago, and what got me was not the use of the instruments but for the use of surprise throughout the track. This has got to be a more favored remix than most of the others than I've heard, if not one of the best in the Final Fantasy 6 collection. "That's it man, game over man, game over!"
  8. Whoa... this is beautiful. A highly powerful orchestral version of the opening. Anyone who hasn't heard it yet should leave this page and check it out right now!
  9. bLiNd managed to impress me with his Blue Vision remix (currently in my faves), and with this work on my favorite song in DKC he has created a just a stunning track. Then again I may be saying that because I'm a bit of a trance-head... Ahem... great use of percussion and SFX, a fine structure to boot, and a wise choice of delays on the piano notes near the start! However, the only problem I can find is a bit too much reverb used, but that doesn't spoil the mix dramatically ^^;
  10. I thought it seemed cool too, with the instruments given the urban effect and making this a powerful remake of the Special Stage theme. But I could have enjoyed it a lot more if the music suddenly didn't stop pausing every two seconds o.O; Speaking of which, did anyone else face the same problems?
  11. I kinda like this mix. It holds almost all of the same kick that kept the original "It's Difficult To Stand On Both Feet, Isn't It?" a powerful track in the FFVII soundtrack, while at the same time it happens to please techno fans around here. The progression from the kick drums through to the melody start at 1'46", a powerful middle, and the quieting down at the 30 seconds at the end have all aided to keep the track in line. Essential for FFVII fans and trance freaks. Not sure about the rest of you, but eh...
  12. I say Robotnik in Sonic Spinball. It's a bit hard to keep inside the boss table while trying to hit him at the same time.
