  1. If you want my take on this Twiggy, then yes, I can understand where those who don't quite seem as polished don't have anywhere to go to show off their music if they want to aim for OCR in the first place. And we have people around the forums that have been trying to get onto the site but heavily struggling. Heck, a lot of musicians that got posted on OCR within the past few years have been down there at the beginning. My advice to you is to just start working on whatever music you'd love to do. Maybe sign up on Soundcloud; use it to host some work on there when you get it done, or just use it as your own musical sketchpad in a way. Or if you want to work on something specific, OCR's Competitions Area is a good starting point too - PRC and MnP are always looking for new faces. Other than that, there's Newgrounds and Youtube being your most likely bet to share music. But that's the point though - SHARE music. Some of the most popular crap on both sites are driven purely by nostalgia or fanboyism, and if that's your aim then it's probably not for you. But yes, there's always a lot of options out there to share music that you've done, regardless if they're going to pass the panel or not.
  2. I am still oblivious to exactly and why. That said, if I have the free time I may have a go xD
  3. Either that, or a cricket bat to the... you'd probably know where >_>
  4. We may get a few snuffers on SEGA Mixer Drive, though. Go tune in anyways to relive this bracket! x) [EDIT: Not wanting to double post or anything, but Tuberz McGee, thank YOU for pushing the clean-ish nature of the show to its limits! ]
  5. That surprises me a lot, Beth! I love a glass of red wine as well, but I'm more likely to lie in a comatose state for about a couple of hours before doing what I was meant to be doing in the first place. Still this is sounding good so far! What about Amph then?
  6. Not according to the stats that I've been keeping as well. Wch didn't vote in the previous two Sonic rounds, in Robotnik R1 there was no vote given to Garpocalypse/DusK, and Robotnik R2 indeed showed only one vote in the TGH/therex matchup. But I guess you're not so far off
  7. Not too bad going into the middle of the week! A quick reminder going to wch090 though; you still need to vote in the Flex/PH matchup. Otherwise, turnout's doing okay.
  8. I'm in. It'll be interesting to see how else it could grow from here
  9. So I guess to get this back on track, now that we're at the final, we aught to checklist the secondary criterion on Wildfire's matches 'til now: * R1: Vocal dance song - CHECK * R2: Rap song w/ a few pingas jokes - CHECK * R3: Just make a goddamn song - CHECK but at the expense of her sleep schedule Any idea what's gonna be seen as the draw for her vs Amph?
  10. The way I saw it as a bad thing is more in regards to fairplay - making sure everyone works hard on equal footing and abiding by the rules. But come to think of it, the Sonic Bracket in particular never had a full roster chip in at this point. It's taken me a while to just absorb this, but I can see where this is coming from. I had a talk about this privately with Matt on Facebook (sorry for not finishing earlier, the chat box just BROKE); and having understood his situation much clearer, it's one that I will at least comprehend.
  11. I understand, but you won that matchup fair and square; there's no reason for you to just back away now even if there are other commitments involved. And even if you do give Amphibious a free pass, what happens then? If he becomes the champion again, then because of you bowing out that'll rob a fair contest win out of Wildfire or whoever's left in the Robotnik Bracket. No disrespect to Jordan here, but I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be the only person that'll be disappointed if that happens, regardless of the outcome for this particular match. [EDIT: ...well. Damnit. Commented way too late.]
  12. For the man this community can't be any (in)saner without. Here's to more happy years ahead!
  13. Not quite too sure how SEGA Mixer Drive would help you recap the only matchup of this round, but go tune in anyway!
  14. *facepalm* After getting through the first two rounds by default, he leaves the third by the exact same circumstance that his opponents went through? Seriously, how much did Wildfire pay for him to leave?
  15. Last reminder for those that have left votes behind: * wch090 and TheGuitahHeroe have so far only voted in the TGH / therex matchup and need to contribute to the others for that vote to count. * On the flipside, Phonetic Hero is missing TGH / therex in his votes. * And Ringu Man still has Flex / urdailywater to go. Come on, don't leave those pancakes unfinished! We're good cooks, honest!
  16. Hate to double post, but SEGA Mixer Drive will start going through the entries in the next 10 minutes. Anyone who's around, go join on in!
  17. Going off topic of the random animal pictures for a second... Sir Nuts, where are you and what are you up to?
  18. Kyle, can you at least find a review that says anything GOOD about my tracks?
  19. I'm not calling anyone out; I just want to make sure that everything is nice and organised. Anything to save Matt from hurting a few brain cells
  20. Whether you voted in previous rounds or not shouldn't make a difference; what counts is your votes for the current round. So keep going Dom
  21. So after 2 days so far, quick reminder on where we are with outstanding votes: * Flexstyle still needs to vote in his own matchup (don't be ashamed bro ) * On the flipside TheGuitahHeroe is yet to vote in all the matchups that AREN'T his own * Brandon Strader has so far only contributed to Timberz McBieber vs Grrrpocalypse and should do the other rounds to make that vote count * And the same applies to wch090 albeit with TGH vs therex. Other than that, interesting outcomes so far; I'll keep a good eye on this one
  22. Pete, awesome you brought up Tekken 2; at the time, the boss fight against Devil was one of the most somber final boss themes I had come across and adds a whole darkened perspective to the tournament's development at that point. And considering another Lapfox artist (albeit Kitcaliber) inspired a track in the previous SZRC, why am I not surprised in seeing it happen again xD Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's just amazing to see where you gain some of your influences from. Kudos man
