  1. Bottom line: Sonic bracket stacked as hell. TOO MANY DAMN LIZARDS.
  2. As Promised, VST patches! I've never used Logic but if logic can host VSTs, they will. If I can get people to get motivated into delivering some 80s goodness, this will make this competition even more awesome .
  3. Hello again. Since I shared a small collection of SpaceSynth/ItaloDisco/80s Synthpop patches for Reason Some people have asked me for some patches they could use with other programs like Fruityloops and stuff, so here I am to share them. Click here to get the VST patches .fxp format! These are 9 bass patches based on popular artists from these old school genres for the following VSTs: -Synth1 -TAL-U-NO-60 -TAL-U-NO-62 -GTG JP_1 All of the above are free to download from their respective sites. Now add some Linndrum/tr808 drums and you'll be all set for some oldschool dance music. Enjoy . VST sites: Synth1 (japanese) Togu Audio Line (TAL) VSTs GTG Synths EDIT: I noticed that GTG JP-1 and TAL-U-NO 60 were discontinued, so I uploaded them. Get them here Also, for Fruity Loops users I just uploaded Fruity Wrapper versions of these patches so they can be accessed easily. Get them here
  4. Ok, I will probably add my custom spacesynth and 80s synthpop patches for GTG JP-1, Synth 1 and TAL-U-NO 60 later this week so they can be used on other daws like fruity loops and ableton. Those VSTs are all I use for my 80s style tracks(when i'm not working in Reason), and they are all free to download from their respective sites.
  5. Since a lot of people want to go all 80s on Akumajo, I'll do a shameless self-promotion and link my collection of 80s spacesynth and italo disco patches for Reason here Add some linndrum and you're set to melt his face with tubular sounds.
  6. Sure I'll post it here in the thread if that's ok.
  7. Halc in my bracket = scary. But even then I'm coming into this competition with the intention of kicking ass and taking names. THERE WILL BE NO MERCY!. I'm really excited about this one. also WTB SIG.
  8. I'm really sorry. I had about 2 minutes and a half of my song done and was planning on finishing it yesterday, which I couldn't do in the end. I'll probably finish the song regardless, and send it over to capcom.
  9. Maybe they think of OCRemixers as members of some artists guild? lol who knows. These big company legal dudes are always paranoid, it's their job.
  10. Honestly all that legalese looks like, as Main Finger pointed out, just the legal department covering their asses on this. From the wording on the website it looks like they will be showcasing the fan music, they are even asking for information for promotional purposes so i don't think we will go uncredited for it. EDIT: Also, what Larry said.
  11. Meh, I for one don't really care at this point. The music is already made, I wasn't going to profit from it anyways, and when entering this compo I was expecting capcom to retain the rights to the music made. I will be submitting my tracks later. One thing tho, they were asking for Wavs, but they seem ok with good ole youtube submissions? o_0 what gives? EDIT: the part about uploading the tracks to ocremix was hilarious tho. That and keeping the direct wav submissions under 5 mbs.
  12. Ok so in the end, songs from this compo won't be submitted by darke and we have to send them ourselves using that website Brandon linked to?
  13. Yeah let Main Finger in. I know he hungers for a rematch, not knowing the result will be the same again!
  14. Hmm I'm now tempted to switch my first pick for that one, first because it is indeed a cool song and second because I will do my best to make it far enough so that chthonic HAS to mix it.
  15. Dem nerds sure love their sonic music. I only have what, 3 sonic mixes up on ocr plus many others in sonic projects? Obviously we need more.
  16. 1-Sonic 1 (master system) Scrap Brain Zone 2-Sonic 2 (master system) aqua lake zone 3-Sonic 1 (Genesis) Green Hill Zone 4-S&K (Genesis) Death Egg Act 1 5-Sonic Triple Trouble (Game Gear) Sunset Park Zone Act 3 Sorry about the lateness. EDIT: Also, since I still have to work on the street fighter compo I would like to be put on the last group please. Otherwise I will have a hard time getting a mix done for this.
  17. Fun times bro, a worthy rival till the end (seriously votes were tied for like 2 pages)! Now time to kick Dusk's ass. And I won't be summoning the mighty powers of brostep or spacesynth this time around. Be afraid.
  18. Hello again guys. As some of you may be aware of, I've been doing a lot of 80's italo/spacesynth music lately. These are some of the patches I've created for my songs. I've created some other patches but those are for the Tal-u-no VST, which emulates the old Juno Instruments originally used to create this kind of music. In this ZIp file you will find 6 bass patches for Reason's Combinator. I made some of them based on popular spacesynth artists Laserdance/Proxyon and Koto (and are labeled as such). Hope this are useful. Click here to download them. EDIT: Here's a thread for some of my VST-based Patches for this genre
  19. Hello there guys. It's been a while since I shared anything but I've been very active with music making lately so I thought I'd start sharing some of my new patches. You can grab the patch by clicking HERE What I have for you guys now is a couple of multiband exciters. If you want to know what an exciter is or does, follow this link. One of the great things about reason is that you can emulate almost any vst or plugin out there if you know what you're doing, and this is something I tried to do here. In these patches you have 4 bands to manipulate separately, 2 levels of saturation and an option to mix the original signal in (which creates a cool phased effect, useful for some synth and drum effects). There are two different patches in the zip file, one using the TAPE algorithm and the other uses the TUBE algorithm. I wanted to include more customization options (like being able to widen or shorten the bands and stuff) but sadly the combi only allows for four knobs. Some ways I use these: 1-On the soft saturation mode it can give a lot of character to drums and some synths. 2-If you mix the original signal in you can heighten specific bands to add more character to the sound, but try to keep the band levels very very low to give the sound a subtle oomph. 3-Use it as a send effect on a complete track to give it a bit more character. Again, use it very carefully as it can change the sound quite a lot. 4-Turn off soft saturation for massive drums! Anyways hope this patches are useful, I might share more in the future.
  20. That is probably this guy, love that guy btw. Dusk had a really awesome song. I liked Main Finger's smooth take, really great. Dig that beat, it's helluva tight.
  21. I would like to give this a shot. I have done a lot of sonic remixes, a couple more won't hurt.
