Yeah, so those that said was overreacting or just being a dick about Brandon there... told ya.
See now, that happened after the events I witnessed (blowing the wall up) and if he did blow the shit out of the spawn, and prophets stuff, then all the freaking out is well deserved and he should fuck right off.

I accidentally break people's shit all the time, so I always keep a stack of smoothstone handy when I go visiting just in case I do

The map is suppose to be something like 8 times as big as the earth, I don't know why people are all bunched up around the spawn like that.

Can someone do something about him? Prophet worked hard on that, and this guy is just being a massive asshole.
After he blew things up I went to check out the damage and it was limited to a half dozen blocks on one wall, nothing that justifies you freaking out at him, especially considering he fixed it. If he had blown the hell out of all the bookshelves proph has, I could understand but it was just regular stone block that were replaced. I don't think proph would have been any more then annoyed.

With a little bit of patience, a lot can be done if all you have to start with is a single bucket of lava, take my mountain of lava for example.

There's been some requests for a votable Melee-only plugin. There appear to be two such plugins for Sourcemod. The older, approved (i.e. tested) one is TF2 Melee Mode. The newer, not-yet-approved one is Melee only. The second plugin has an alternate mode that allows certain non-melee items: jarate, bonk, crit-a-cola, sandwich, chocolate, buff banner, sappers, disguise kit, wrangler, mad milk, battalion's backup, and all buildables.
I play on a server that I am pretty sure uses the 'Melee Only' plug-in, and for the most part, its a good plug-in. I have seen a melee mode set to 20mins not end until the map changed but beyond that it works nicely.

I've been informed that there's interest in an OCR minecraft server.
I'm willing to run one on the same box we use for tf2 servers, but I need a ballpark headcount of who'd play there over the official server to see if it's worth the resources.
I plan to buy the game shortly and would be more then happy if a OCR server popped up. I just need to pump out a paper and do a couple of other things before that.

Speaking of files, I'm doing some plugin testing this week, so don't be surprised if the server makes you download a few new sound files.
Would one of those plugins allow for a melee vote? cause melee only can be fun from time to time.

I've been playing alpha since July-ish, so it's been fun watching the development recently!
My roommates recently got into minecraft as well, so now we spend sleepless nights punching wood over multiplayer!
I AM SO STOKED FOR THE HALLOWEEN UPDATE.
Punching wood? so that's what the kids are calling it these days.

Yeah, I fail to see how that's non-Euclidean. Especially since a cube is as irreversibly Euclidean a shape as you can find and stuff built from it will remain Euclidean.
That being said, it does look pretty cool.

I would start by removing the keys in question, or all the keys and make sure they are clean underneath. There are a few websites and youtube videos show you how to do this. And this time don't use soap on the computer, individual keys are okay as long as you rinse and dry them before putting things back together.

This is one of the few games I will push everyone I know to get, just so I can play coop with people I trust not to troll me every time. It's expect from time to time because they are friends after all.

Don't bother unchecking everything, just go to the General tab and select Diagnostic startup. This will narrow it down to services and basic device drivers that you need versus ones you don't and if it still takes forever to load...back you stuff up and reinstall Windows from scratch.

The kernel starts to save information to the logs early on in the process, how early I don't know. I do believe that it is early enough to record problems with drivers loading or services having issues. Another option is to boot into safemode, which in past versions of windows showed everything being loaded.

I can't think of anything off the top of my head, but have a look at the event viewer for any errors or warning during startup. Just start typing 'Component Services' into the search bar to get access to the event viewer then check under 'Windows Logs >> System' for anything that stands out.
