  1. i remember when that was posted in WIP. I commented on one or two of them. Seems like that was years ago.
  2. I'm going to come off as a total techie noob (which i am). Explain dual core and how it relates to music making?
  3. Oh yeah, I need all kinds of countdowns. Countdowns in numbers, letters. Preferably hard male voices.. Hope you can help me .. Just sample the King of Hiphop aka the most sampled man in the world.
  4. http://klanglabs.siliconemusic.com/-spyro-/mouse_skills.html This guy goes over a few nice tips for utilizing the FL Scratcher properly (along with ways to set up a decent turntable setup in FL). There's tons of audio examples and whatnot. He also provides a VST similar to FL Scratcher for anyone not using FL. I haven't tried it out yet, but it appears to be decent. And yeah, I coulda put this in the FL thread or the VST thread, but it's a little bit of both and a little bit of tutorial as well, so I'll just leave it here for now.
  5. imo, the only real way then is to build a car that goes back in time, take a tape recorder and a gun, go back to the 30s, have your track pressed to vinyl, go and take over a radio station, force them to play the record while you record it to tape (which will blow their minds away!), come back through time and voila, there's your AUTHENTIC old radio sound.
  6. The nerd/gamer culture is already hard at work cultivating a most pungent blend of odors (notably the colorful mixture of BO, Bawls, and Axe). I can only imagine the delightful smell-sations that this combination of cultures should bring about.
  7. I use Izotope Vinyl in a lot of my stuff. Love that shit.
  8. Cool. I remember when Tosser was playing this crud and Dave decided to put vocals on it. Of course, this is shadowed by Dave's previous vocal mixes, but as far as non-rap vocals go, it's pretty decent. I kid. This is damn good stuff. I'm suprised it came together so quickly (love it when a plan comes together).
  9. Epic feel. Digging this a lot. Good to see some more midee and prozax here.
  10. I'm colorblind, kid. Kudos for that reference. :D:D
  11. I'll go through later and name the others that it covers, but Broomstick Bass has a Moog Taurus as well. Can I get some recommendations on NI's Elektric Piano? Is it worth it?
  12. I would kill for a remix of Lode Runner PC music. I can get you clips at a later date.
  13. It's actually a revival of a project that was started way back about a month after DSoP came out. Glad to see it's being resurrected. edit: that Hangarmageddon amv posted there is pretty cool.
  14. Honestly, I can't think of a simpler way to achieve this effect. From my limited knowledge of vsts and plugins, anything that would be able to achieve this effect would probably be a) CPU consuming and pointless.
  15. Is anyone reminded of Batman Begins during the 4:00+ section, or is it just me? edit: yeah, totally check out the second half of "Corynorhinus" and "Eptesicus" from the Batman Begins ost. Not saying it in a bad way. Pretty cool.
  16. Man, trance must have been so hard back in the day.
  17. Do this. Take the clip you want effected. Cut it and make it a new file. Make sure you leave some nice blank space at the beginning of it. Once you have this new clip, reverse it (so the blank space is at the end) then apply a shitton of your reverb of choice on it. It should have a nice long tail. Mess around with some effects on it or whatever, then reverse it again (back to normal) and then place it back in your song.
  18. One would never know by listening to his radio show that Oji had an ounce of personality in him. The revelation was quite shocking.
  19. Done. Should I submit my track as well? PS. NONE OF U TWO ARE ONLINE WTF>
  20. November 2003 to be exact. /shuffles his feet, looks around nervously then disappears.
