Did anyone notice the innuendo in the Metroid Prime 3 trailer? "What she fears most is that she LIKES it"
-
The control scheme itself is badass, including turning doors with your hands and all kinds of crazy stuff. You start out with a bunch of items, which you don't lose after the intro stage. There's a ton of voice acting, you can use your ship to aid you in battle, you travel across several planets, there is a new hyper mode system, you don't switch guns - instead you have a stack system like Super Metroid, the graphics are significantly improved, new enemies, new worlds, new attacks, more cinematics and story elements, and a fight with Ridley whilst decending down a bottomless pit, oh yeah - And it's a Metroid game - Hm, besides that, I don't really care to play this game.
-
Excellent idea. And maybe different musics?
-
Yes, now there must be a stage where you have to fight the entire Blue Blue cult.

Yeah, ya'll are pretty much right. Nintendo has the Wii owners stoked for this game. Everyone else, eh, not so much. I bet some commercials will appear for this game. If they do not, then it's all Nintendo's fault. After all, if Harry Potter for Wii gets a theater ad, then Metroid Prime definitely deserves at least the same level of publicity.

Ha ha, IGN just ridiculed themselves. Either that, or it was an elaborate joke. Anyway, this is cool news. I'm glad to be getting updates of any kind. Keep sending us shit, Nintendo. Now, if only I can kind my copy of Super Metroid before I blow 8 bucks on the virtual console.

Does not compute. Send request for elaboration.

For a while, I was worried that I was the only one who noticed. ROWR indeed. Too bad she doesn't have her own character.
-
Yep, I listen to it all the time, it's great. I want to hear Blaster Master too.
-
I'd like to see what Danimal Cannon has done with blaster master, but I can't find it. I love his solo work even more than Arm Cannon. I'm still saddened that Electric Concerto tried to assemble a Legacy of the Wizard project, and it fell apart due to a lack of interest (he could've done better advertising, but some of the big guys could've jumped on the bill and sparked interest) - but maybe it will happen again one day. As far as submitting a track myself, I know two under-mixed games that are in need of attention. Well, more than that, but only two my group of musicians would be fit for in musical style. As soon as I am finished with my album, I will put some extra studio time aside and get it done - that way I can say that I at least tried.

Yes, open your windows, spray some Febreeze and everything should be fine.

Ha. I just fought 'em last night. What a big fat bastard! No wonder I didn't "remember" how to stop him. He left me with 5 hit points and 7 flower points before I finished him off. Really close call. When I switched my character to Bombette and used the bomb technique after knocking him on his back, things got a little easier.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

It isn't all exactly on the judges' behalf - I doubt many people would want to reject a remix simply on the premise of it the source being overdone, but that's what I would do. Yeah, I know, I'm a bit bitter about the abundance of overdone games. I don't expect the world to cater to my personal desires, but I can dream.

Yeah, I know, I've checked this site several times a week for five years. That doesn't mean that everything has to be rejected/removed meanwhile Chrono Trigger, Sonic Icecap and Zelda appear to strangely slip through with greater ease (maybe originality should be an area of concern in the judging process?) Hey, I know my place, I don't even remix, but I have an opinion, and that opinion is that there is way too much emphasis on sound quality over feel and enjoyability. I don't pretend to run this site or be some kind of genius, but I think that there are others who believe the same thing. Now, VGmix, a site that I really enjoyed while it lasted, had much different standards. While there is a lot of shit on there, much more so than there is on OCR, the atmosphere enabled and fostered originality. 10 minute guitar opus? Check A forest mix covering forest themes from different games? Check. There were quite a few remixes on there with mediocre sound quality but excellent feeling. But does it really matter what OCR does about this? No, not for me at least. I download the WIPs that I enjoy and they sit alongside some of the most heralded mixes on OCR (in my mp3 player of course). And by the way, I love OCR and always will, I just wish some things were a little different (or perhaps more like they were 3 years ago)

There are way too many rejections. I mean, if it sounds good and gets you moving, then why does it matter?

He may be immune, I haven't tried putting him to sleep , so I don't know. Anyway, I'm having fun with it. I played all the way through about 5 years ago, but I've still died a couple of times (those bloopers in the sewer come right out of nowhere). I love using the Boo ghost - It's fun repeatedly slap the shit out of enemies.

"uplifting trance played with traditional rock instruments, which is really cool" Sounds cool. I'll have to check it out when I get off of work.

Where do you get your hard to find games?
Devyn replied to Avatar of Justice's topic in General Discussion
We once had this badass store called Rhino Games. The prices were relatively low and they carried new and used games from current consoles to NES games (and not just commoners like Super Mario Bros. but good ones like Battletoads). Not only did they have appropriate pricing for old games (low prices for common, higher for rare games), they had buy x get x specials on games and merch. The used games were sold for lower prices than the big chains. EB/Gamestop bought them out and opened them with their stores. -
Seriously, they couldn't have made Zelda and Link look any more badass. They look hoss, but I think Giga-Bowser takes the cake though. Edit: Dammit, I would like to see Midna and/or Zant appear in this game. Do you think wolf link will appear?
-
I saw this like a year or two ago. It's horrible.
-
Yep, that's how I feel about it too.
-
Bring back the original Megaman. Give the game a real budget. Make the game awesome. Combine new technology with the passion of the first three games, and let our hero die in glory rather than in a sea of mediocrity. That won't happen.

I've heard nothing but positive things about this movie. Anyway, it's about time that a 2-D non-CG animation film got back on the big screen. Maybe Disney and all the other dolts will take notice.
