  1. Hi I'm Catherine Zeta Jones, and I'm hear to tell you that the PS3 is the next big thing. Old pictures are just a blur. The PS3's graphics look so real that reality looks fake compared to it. If you buy a PS3, you're grandma, a bunch of furniture, and other stuff will explode. Meanwhile, you will get exported to the wilds of Africa, and you can watch zebras.
  2. Let's see here. I get home from class, I come back to my computer and see a Double Dragon 2 "remix." I think to myself "Oh yeah. It's about time." I downloaded this thing, and it rocked my face off. The original theme itself is beautiful and melodic, and it rocks like hell. Well, whoever "Sixto Sounds" may be, he/she/them has done a damn good job at remaking the original song into everything it should be. The guitar work and guitar tone are awesome. The production is great. The flow of the song is great too, because it never gives you time to grow tired, because you're off to the next part before a certain riff gets annoying. The breakdown is much needed, and then comes a ripping solo, then it breaks back into the melodic badass chorus just like it should. I can't say anything bad about this mix, because it's perfect. If you disagree, you're just wrong.
  3. hahahahaha nice The 'failure to launch' one is funny. RIIIIIDGE RACCCER!!! is still funny too God, I almost feel sorry for Sony. What is happening to me? Hey, I have one. "This is bankruptcy"
  4. Yeah, to hell with sound quality (as long as its moderately good). I don't even notice anything wrong with the sound. If not perfect, but rawk n' roll is supposed to be a little nasty. Hell, what matters is that the song kicks ass, which it does. In fact, I listen to it every time I take a shower now.
  5. I noticed that too. The production isn't as crisp, but I like it. It sounds like it's playing on a record player, which I like, because it sounds more "at home" and less "artificial." I think that's one of the biggest problems with rock music today. It's over-produced, and it takes the edge off of the music. But that doesn't apply to all kinds of music. I like my techno as clear as possible.
  6. I think it rocks. Nice to see these guys again. They should be more well known for being such a great band. Killer stuff. The transition between the main theme and the dungeon theme is really nice too. Great lyrics. Male/female vocals are cool too. Everything's just great, but I didn't expect any less. Edit: After listening to this song four times, I have concluded that it is a masterpiece. Yep. Just thought I'd add that in.
  7. Yeah, it's just a hopeless dream. I've been wanting Mario 2 characters forever. I'd shit my pants if I saw Mouser, Wart, or any or Mario 2 character as a playable character in Smash Brothers. Hell, I'd be happy with Shyguy (but we know that Mouser is da man). But, yeah, definitely won't see mouser. I've never seen him use anything but bombs anyway, but I just can't get over a rodent who wears Nascar sunglasses.
  8. Dammit I want Toad, and Mouser. (Mario 2 fan here)
  9. He takes a puff of a cig. I'm pretty sure that's it. And there's probably an extended version, like Fox's and Falco's special taunt, where he has a codec conversation with Otacon and the such. I doubt nintendo would allow smoking. A big part of thier fan base are children remember. Yes and no... Firstly, they might just do to his cig what Kingdom Hearts did to Cid's cig. Secondly, you're forgetting that much of Nintendo's loyal fanbase was 7-12 back when the NES came out. That could make them as old as 33... not quite children anymore. This large non-kid fanbase was part of the reason their marketing strategy for the Gamecube was aimed at a younger generation. Even better. Snake looks all cool and stuff, but about 10% of the times he taunts, he chokes , loses the cigarette and coughs. Message got through clear and ninty is still kid friendly. Ha. Nice. It would be even better if he lit one up, filled the board with smoke, and gave everybody cancer. "Don't smoke kids!" Dammit I need to quit smoking.
  10. Ridley would be excellent. That's one character that unquestionably belongs in SSBB. I think the cardboard box will make Snake invisible, or invincible. Maybe it's his shield. One of those three. You can count on it.
  11. Soul Calibur = Namco Bandai. Metal Gear Solid = Konami. Namco Bandai =/= Konami. KNOW YOUR THIRD PARTIES, SOLDIER! Sir! I was aware of that, Sir!. I wasn't drawing a comparison between the 3rd party companies, just pointing out Link in SC2 which could possibly mean Namco characters might make an appearance in SSB. Namco did help with Mario Baseball, so them and Nintendo are probably on atleast talking terms. Anyway, what I'm getting at is SSB need mores Dig-Dug and Pac-Man and maybe some Katamari love. No.
  12. I was just thinking about that.
  13. I still have a few of those Metal Gear games on NES. I was never really good at them. Metal Gear Solid kicked my ass too. I still remember when I beat Metroid the first time, and saw Samus outside of her suit. "SAMUS IS A GIRL. HOLY SHIT." Of course, that was a long time ago. But the memory remains.
  14. Yeah, I think I saw Link doing a super attack. Super attacks are much needed. Taking it to the next level, man.
  15. Noone can beat farting wario. Yes, farting Wario. Hooray for the world.
  16. guitars - transparent blue jackson flying v with floyd rose tremolo. It is my main guitar. It sounds fucking great. brown peavey patriot (early eighties model). It is my backup guitar. It is good for lead guitar, but weak on crunch. I also have an applause acoustic, a fender californian acoustic, and an ibanez twelve string acoustic amp - Carvin X-amp, from the mid-nineties. 100 watts, cabinet with four ten inch speakers effects - I have an old digitech RP-1 and a Boss ME-50. I usually only use the distortion, reverb, delay and chorus. Anything else is seldom used.
  17. Here are a few: Mike Tyson on Punch Out, Jacquio from Ninja Gaiden, and the final dragon boss from Karnov.
  18. Hello. I'm Dave. Why the hell am I posting here? I've been here for two years or so. Oh well. Postcount +1.
  19. This song is awesome. Even if you don't like techno, you should check this out. This is one of the most beautiful songs I've heard in the past few years. All of my friends seem to agree too.
  20. This song is damn good. The original tune was already great, and this song takes everything good from the original and adds on to it. This song is very weird and kind of overly flamboyant, if you know what I mean. But if you can get past that, it's an awesome tune. Good for the ears. Edit: I listened to this song again (about 5 times really), and I have to say its one of the best I've heard on Overclocked. Thanks, Star Salzman. I hope you do more remixes with your vocals and original lyrics. They are the best.
  21. Very nice. Excellent choice of sounds too. It may not be as fast and hardcore as Sprinting Riffs, but it's a lot less repetive and very atmospheric. But this sounds more like house to me than trance. Still great though.
  22. That is an awesome remix. I can't complain about it. Its really happy and extremely deep, but not overly pompous or flashy (Partly on the behalf of the composer, but props to YPOI for sure). It's remix perfection. Well, perfection doesn't really exist, but it's beyond excellent. Only thing is the original chorus is out, but I think if the chorus was included it would defeat the whole purpose. Megaman and the crew would be proud.
