  1. Thanks! And I don't really like that source either. It's an ok song, but it was hell to work with. LET'S DO IT I'm still thinking about going to #ocrwip with it; I think an arrangement that cool deserves some better production, and I could use some ideas about how to do that. Tracklist update: There are two more important tracks left: The Maku Tree and Veran Defeated (which is labeled as "Credits & Staff Roll" even though it's not). And two unimportant tracks: Just Another Mad Dash! and The Great Moblin.
  2. Sweet. I put you on the list. Post your WIP on the forums when it's ready. Anyway, I might as well post this here, just in case any fellow OCRians suddenly decide to start giving feedback again. *glares at you, the reader* [link removed] Source: Crown Dungeon Remixer: Hylian Lemon Last update: 08-05-09 Not the most appealing track to remix...
  3. Three overworld variations with one stone? Sounds like a plan. You're on the list. Post your WIP on the project forums (or here) when you've got something to show.
  4. Feel free to take a stab at it first if you're having trouble with the other track.
  5. Yay! I hoped you'd give in. I really like this track; it's slower and calmer than what I would've done, and it works pretty well. In other news, I've split up the unclaimed tracks into two categories. There are four more tracks that I'd like to see on the project; if any of them don't get claimed by the end of August, I'll do them myself. Then there's another group of tracks that I won't claim, either because they're based on the overworld theme or because I just don't care about them. Unless someone else claims them, they'll be dropped from the project. I'd prefer the important tracks to get claimed first, but if any of you prospective remixers see an unimportant track that you really like, go ahead and claim it. I guess this kind of leads into the deadlines. I'll be contacting the remixers closer to the end of August to inform everyone about the deadlines and to give a final call for any remaining important tracks. Basically: WIP deadline (at least one minute of work): October 31 Final deadline: December 31 I'm not going to be super strict about the deadlines, but I'm not going to like you if you miss them.
  6. Rozo, did you get the new WIP I sent on the 23rd?
  7. I'm 95% sure everything I used in there was from darkesword's soundfont page. So I had some nice sounds; I just didn't know how to work with them very well. Not that I do now either. Go with both.
  8. Earliest work I have saved, made in Anvil Studio: Crescent Moon Funk (Zelda: Oracle of Ages) My first completed remix with FL Studio: Larva Lava (Metroid) It's also the only thing I've ever submitted. Yes, I submitted that.
  9. Yeah, using multiple sources is fine.

  10. Consider yourself signed up! When you've got something to show, post it on the project forums.

  11. [link removed] Sources: Symmetry Village, Symmetry City Remixer: Hylian Lemon Last update: 07-20-09 Tried to make it cartoony and upbeat. Took a little inspiration from Paper Mario. It's based more on the city version, but I took pieces from the village version and sped them up.
  12. Ok, I put you both on the eligible list. You can join the project forums if you'd like; there's a topic there for posting cover art.
  13. Back from the western coast! I'm left wondering why so many people don't live in San Francisco. Anyway, I still have a four-day conference thingy starting Thursday, but one of my trips has been postponed until later this summer. So I won't be gone as long as I had planned this month. Thanks for contributing! I've saved them with the other covers. Right now I'm assuming that by "alternate" you mean you're not interested in consideration for the official site's graphic design and stuff. Let me know if you are, and I'll put you on that list instead! I had been posting all the tracks in the first post, but I ran out of room. You can find an up-to-date list of all the completed and work-in-progress tracks on the temporary website. Go ahead! Are you going to be offering it as a purely alternate cover or would you like to be eligible for official status (designing site graphics)?
  14. I'm probably not going to be able to make updates at the vgmix forums for the next couple of rounds due to vacationing. If someone wants to keep that topic up-to-date and post the next round, they can...though it's not the most important thing, since nobody from there ever joins in. But whatever.
  15. Can't find any videos, but... http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/04/play-scribblenauts-off-keyboard-cat/ http://ds.ign.com/articles/991/991132p1.html
  16. Keyboard cat and longcat? That's it, I'm getting it.
  17. Unless the Master Sword can transform between a sword shape and a persony shape. Speaking of the persony shape...it kind of reminds me of the fairy queen from The Wind Waker and Four Swords Adventures. I'm a little disappointed in Link's artwork, though (or more specifically, the way it was described). More grown up than ever before? No. He's Twilight Princess Link without a sword.
  18. I was a little disappointed that we won't be seeing a non-cartoony kid version again yet, but this would definitely make up for it. I wonder when that picture will surface.
  19. Time for a new track. It's kinda islandy and jungley and quirky. [link removed] Source: Tokay Hut Remixer: Hylian Lemon Last update: 06-02-09
  20. Calpis about summed up how I felt...
  21. I don't know, I was kind of turned off when they started showing plastic toy Samus flinging things around. Still looked reasonably good, though.
  22. B. I took some piano lessons for a while when I was younger.
  23. Oh, I did that on purpose for lazy people. In case someone wanted to just copy one thing and take out the stars. I could only have four images in the post anyway.
  24. I've done it before. And I'm pretty sure other people have too. Just make sure more than half of it is based on this track, because otherwise people don't tend to vote favorably.
  25. In general, A. Especially when it comes to sidescrollers.
