  1. I'll most likely be there for one of the days. They haven't posted the schedule of events so I'm not sure which day I'll be at yet. They really need to get on that.
  2. I'm really glad that I came across this topic today, because otherwise I may never have heard about this MGS Package. Here are the Metal Gear Solid games I own so far: Metal Gear Solid (Playstation) Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions (Playstation) Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (PS2) Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance (PS2) The Document of Metal Gear Solid 2 (PS2) Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence *Limited Edition* (PS2) Having bought all of the games already included in "Metal Gear Solid: The Essentials"...and then some, I'm still planning on buying this collection. The main draw for me is the re-release of the original Metal Gear Solid. My original copy of Metal Gear Solid has been pretty abused over the years and I could really use a new copy of that amazing game. Even though a few people have mentioned it already...this is a STEAL for anybody who doesn't already own any Metal Gear Solid games and a great way to prepare yourself for MGS4.
  3. Happy B-day F4T4L! Your Metal Gear - Supercomputer remix is superb.
  4. Dude...that's awesome. The music is great (props to you) and the game looks pretty sweet too. You should be proud .
  5. More news, check this out: http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/06/28/wrestler.ap/index.html weird...
  6. Yeah that was in the back of my mind too. I guess we'll have to wait until the autopsy report to know what really happened.
  7. Silent Hill 3: NO -I'm a big Silent Hill fan and I think it's a good game but not a "Must-Have". Silent Hill 2 beats this game in every department except for gameplay...but nobody really plays the Silent Hill series for gameplay anyway. Some of the rooms / atmosphere in SH3 are creepy as hell though! If you're expecting an amazing plot like in SH2 you'll probably be a bit disappointed with this game. I have to admit though...SH3 did creep me out more than any of the other SH games. Note: Whoa..."Silent Hill - WhiteClaudiaRock" just started playing on ormgas.com...cool.
  8. Metal Gear Solid 2: YES -If you have any interest in games driven by story then this is the game for you. This game was way ahead of its time in terms of graphics and gameplay, it was an early PS2 release and it is still one of the best PS2 games around. This game seemed like it was trying to push the envelope in every way possible, some people may not have approved of some of the methods that it went about doing this, but the result is an amazing game that will be remembered for a long time.
  9. Sorry man. There have been talks about PNW meetups before but they just never seem to happen. You can always suggest that us OCR members from the PNW meet at the Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) this Summer. I'm sure a couple OCR members from outside the PNW will probably be at PAX too.
  10. It looks really good. This trailer almost seems too ambitious. I don't know how they're going to get the funding and manpower to make a 2.5 hour movie of this quality. I'll wish them luck though.
  11. I haven't listened to enough Megadeath to make a fair comparison, but I'm a pretty big Metallica fan. Metallica's "S&M" album (live recording of Metallica and San Francisco Symphony Orchestra playing together) is one of my top 10 favorite albums. I agree with most posts here regarding "St. Anger". I remember sampling it at a CD shop and being really disapointed. It was on sale for $10 and I still didn't pick it up.
  12. Awesome show. About half of the audience left when the "headlining" band came on stage...lol. If anybody went let us know what you thought of it.
  13. Yeah, I would be nice if it started around 8pm. You're right...it is gonna suck for people trying to race there right after they get off of work, lets hope the concert starts a little later than planned.
  14. It's this Friday, March 30th...so it's coming up quick. As far as I know tickets are not sold out yet.
  15. I'm sure a lot of people here have heard this guy's music, but just in case you haven't: www.mcchris.com I'm going to the Seattle show 5pm at "Chop Suey". Anybody else going to be there?...or at another show of the tour?
  16. Just got done reading it all, the "Power & Responsibility", the IRC heated chat, everything. I never stepped foot into UnMod before it was killed but I wish I'd had. There are some damn smart people who hung out there...and no I'm not being sarcastic.
  17. nice... I remember one for "Snakes on a Plane" with Samuel L. Jackson. That messaging service actually called the person by phone. This is a good one too.
  18. Are you sure about that? That's news to me. Do you have a link?
  19. You have chosen wisely . Prepare to be amazed.
  20. I worked as a helper clerk (aka stock-boy) at a grocery store for about 3 years. You don't get tips and pay isn't that great but its a very stable industry so your hours won't fluctuate much (which can be good or bad) and as long as you do your job you can pretty much count on being able to keep your job for quite a while. There are times when you have to work with people who slack off, which isn't very fun. I know it may seem lame but the best thing to do is show the managers that you CARE how successful the store is, they'll notice and really appreciate it. A perk about working in some grocery stores is that merchandisers will leave cool "toys" along with some of the large product displays they set up. At my grocery store we had an auction where we could bid on these items after the display was taken down. I'm sure you've seen these in some grocery stores, some of them can be really cool. Also, on Thanksgiving every employee was offered a free turkey if they bought $20 worth of stuff there during November .
  21. Nice find. If anything, I think that violent video games provide a safe outlet for aggressive behavior...simillar to a punching-bag. The small and frequent release of aggression through video games prevents a lot of aggression, hatred, and other negative feelings from being "pent up" in an individual. I think that it's a lot less dangerous to provide kids with a harmless outlet for their aggression than it is for parents to pretend that their kids don't need any type of aggressive outlet.
  22. I can't find a picture of it online anywhere but my girlfriend, her sister, and her parents cut a junkyard car in half and then welded it around the school's main flagpole. It was on MTV's "High School Pranks and Controversies". My suggestion is to make sure that whatever you do can easily be undone and won't offend anybody too much. Think of something that would probably make the principal, or at least most of the teachers, laugh. I think that in the case of the "flagpole car" the principal just asked that they cut the car and take it away...no harm no foul.
  23. I was able to find three copies of Virtua Fighter 4: EVO at my local Best Buy for $2/per. I bought two of them (one for a friend) and also got NHL2K6 for $5. The cashier told me that just a short while ago a guy came in and bought 2 shopping carts full of games. If I'd had been in before him then I would have had a pretty sweet selection...oh well.
  24. da dum-da-dum, da dum-da-dum You the man now dog! Congrats.
