  1. She's basic, but I think she's pretty fun. Moreso than Naut ended up being, to me at least.
  2. Was she in the new Mortal Kombat? She should have been if she wasn't. Edit: http://www.giantbomb.com/news/when-passions-flare-lines-are-crossed/4006/ Doesn't matter how many small steps we take forward, when we have idiots like this to help push things back. :/
  3. Here's a fun fact. Trundle is the least changed champion in the game. http://www.lol-patch.com/trundle.html He's only been changed in four patches, and three of those changes were bug fixes. I guess Riot sees him as pretty balanced, too. Pity I never see anyone playing him. He's a neat champ, I just don't like his style.
  4. If you defeat or run from the first one you encounter, you blew it. The newer Pokemon games make it easy to define an 'area', each time you enter a new one, a nameplate pops up telling you the name of it. For Red/Blue, well, it's any area with a different name on your town map. Some areas, you have to make your own judgement calls on. Some people see a cave as one large area, and some see each floor as an area.
  5. That's interesting. Why is the original gen the easiest? I would assume it would be the hardest, given the strength of Psychic types. Sabrina's gym, I would imagine to be a huge roadblock.
  6. Gonna disagree with Strader too. Birth By Sleep, terrible plot twists aside, was the best game in the series, IMO.
  7. Oof. That's some serious luck. Pity it's so fragile until it hits it's final form. You'd better be careful with that, dude.
  8. Don't get too attached to anyone. The moment you do is when tragedy usually strikes. For those of you wondering what the hell Nuzlocke is... http://www.nuzlocke.com/challenge.php
  9. Male power fantasy, so it doesn't count, according to the rest of the thread.
  10. Pretty much. If you're playing a ranged AD that's not Graves, you're intentionally gimping the team.
  11. I wasn't so much thinking of Shepard as I was...well... ...as well as the other members of Shepard's harem.
  12. I can think of plenty of Western games that fit though. Mortal Kombat and Mass Effect are the first two that jump to mind. God of War, as well, is a big offender.
  13. Maybe it's just me, but I really don't think Samus in the Zero Suit is a good example. It makes sense as something that you would be wearing under power armor like that, does it? I'm looking at an actual in-game shot from Brawl (Sorry, but the picture you used looks really fanmade to me), and it doesn't look that bad, I don't think. I think it's a matter of context, in this case at least. I would imagine that Master Chief is wearing something skintight under his armor, too. Plus, y'know...it's Nintendo. I can't think of any other time they've designed something just to be 'sexy'. (On another note, unless my memory is wrong, Brawl went both ways with it, and gave Snake a quite defined ass, if I'm remembering right.) EDIT: And monobrow, can you find smaller pictures? It's making your post a bit hard to read.
  14. Don't remind me. :/ Alright, so then, here's my next question. What's the best way to translate this into actual video games? Social/interpersonal would lead to adventure games or maybe RPGs, but then RPG characters by their very nature aren't 'plain'. Jade might be a good example of a great female character...or rather, a great character in general...but does the game itself appeal to women? I'm having trouble trying to find the right way to say this, I suppose, but should we worry about the characters not being sexist, if the game itself doesn't appeal to the gender we're worried about offending? EDIT: Is it notable that both examples, Jade and Faith both, are the leads of games that didn't do too well?
  15. So, again I'll ask, what does a female power fantasy consist of? I'm honestly curious here.
  16. Just to settle my own curiousity...if guys like Marcus Fenix are meant to be a male empowerment fantasy, then what's a female empowerment fantasy like?
  17. That's because Other M kind of ruined that for a lot of people.
  18. Mmm...I really prefer those 9 points in Utility. He's so he needs that movespeed, and IMO the buff duration mastery is a must have for every jungler. And sure, philo stone is going to help his mana, but the CDR from blue is still quite useful on him, so I wouldn't say buffs are non-essential.
  19. Bleck, if Sion was that close to your tower for that long, your jungler should have been up there ganking the hell out of him. As far as jungling with Naut goes, I've done a couple custom test games, and magic pen runes seem to do better than armor pen. This is a pretty decent guide I've used for my testing (Elementz endorsed! :U). Not sure how it works in a real game though, I'm still trying to do some more testing before I give it a real try.
  20. Who's that? Some new champion or something? Seriously though, I forgot about Yorick completely because I never see anyone play him.
  21. Manamune's really not that great, except on Urgot and sometimes Corki. Especially since Naut really doesn't have anything he can spam to help get extra mana on it up.
