  1. Glad to hear you'll be there next year. That means I'll get to meet you. Glad you had a good time. I was working both, more JamSpace than Concerts (I did lights for Thursday night concert and the Smash Bros. set) That was an incredible performance, and as soon as I get recordings cleaned up and posted, I'll let you all know. So many hugs, not enough Chef. 'nuff said. It was great to hear you play, and I loved the first violin, chiptunes, vocals thing you and that guy (I don't know his name, I really should) did. Yeah, he was there... Dom met him at a past Otakon, and he showed up and played this past Otakon, where I met him, and he was doing a bunch of photography, so his pictures will be up relatively soon. She's a huge fan of Summertime, and I'm glad I could get her out to meet you, at least... and I'll definitely pass the compliment along. I can't believe how awesome MAGFest was, this year. The thanks and good comments from the OCR people alone made it worth the work. On top of getting to meet some more awesome people that I hadn't met before, I ended up working closely with Metroid Metal, The Megas, the two dj's and bLiNd setting up for the DJ sets, and a lot of others... I just... can't put into words how awesome it was to be there this year... I hope to see all of and some new faces next year! EDIT: One of the many highlights of Friday: OCR performing Lover Reef live for Howard Drossin.
  2. Prince of Darkness is my bass hero! (As I sit here, he's playing DoD bass-less tracks... INSANITY!!!)
  3. Kizyr - I have yet to meet you. If you see this before you leave the MAGHotel, stop by JamSpace sometime and introduce yourself. BGC has made it, I saw him. I have recordings sitting on my box here from JamSpace, I will chop and upload as soon as I'm not recording 24/7 and I get a minute.
  4. That would be me, Dom, and Kroze doing voices... Xerol doing the vid.
  5. RE: Panel :: Yes, Saturday at 2:00pm. RE: Hot Tub :: It was actually in the staff food room. The other half of it... Two people slept in there once. RE:: MAGFest :: ADFfauwheiguwihiurAEHriuowethihaiouethaiuhetiUHRH#%*&HFSD. My meetups start today and I leave in a couple hours. For those that are free tonight: Be sure to check out Dom's Live VGMusic Show! Today is his birthday, and we're having a DOMFest show. 11+ people showing up to rock out. http://www.oldschoolgamingzone.com/ 10PM EST.
  6. Well, we don't have learning tracks, there isn't enough time, but his voice is good.
  7. Last I heard, he was sick, and when he's sick, his voice is the first thing to go and last thing to return. He doesn't think he's going to have time to record learning tracks for MAG.
  8. I'm still looking for anybody that can bring a guitar for public use in JamSpace.
  9. TAGFest '09 shall be awesome. Got a bunch of voices and tags lined up.
  10. New Year's Eve is our JamSpace concert. We have a few groups lined up to perform, as well as some sort of countdown thing to New Years.
  11. Bump! Merry Christmas (early) and Merry 6 days until MAGFest!
  12. Haha.... I remember the first time I'd heard about a cumshot... Taucer was yelling "DID YOU HEAR THE CUMSHOT?!?!!" at the VGL concert... Man, I was so confused...
  13. Pretty much everything that needs to be said has already been said, I'll just make the remark that even though VG Music does traditionally loop endlessly, you're going to need some sort of end to this song... PLEASE don't fade out... Also... random parts that sound like a global pitch bend need to be thrown out.
  14. I drove a bunch of us from the hotel to many eating places around the area... Never had a parking issue last year. Pretty much the only people that are there during the time of MAGFest are... MAGFest attendees. Not too many people are going to be there past New Years.
  15. I heard this track a while ago, glad to see ToN got himself posted! Congrats, guys!
  16. Yes, for sure. We will have some kind of guitar amp. Pretty similar to what we had last year.
  17. Hey, just a quick call out. If anybody can bring either a bass and/or a guitar for public use, we are still looking. We are not able to rent either one due to budget limitations. Note: If you have a really nice one that costs more than the vehicle in which you bring it, don't offer it up for public use. We are not going to let people abuse equipment, but it will most likely be treated slightly more roughly than by your own hand. So any standard quality/price piece of equipment will work just fine. Note 2: We *will* be having stands for stringed instruments, so they won't be sitting on the ground when not in a case. Note 3: We have trusted/soon-to-be-trained staffers that will keep the non-used equipment in cases and organized so that nothing gets lost. Thanks in advance to anybody that can bring something!
  18. Bump. Is everyone still on track to bring what I listed? And is the public/private usage list accurate?
  19. What I hear: FF7: A, B, C, G, Gb Batman: B, Db, D, G, Gb
  20. Doesn't vary from the source enough. You have a cool idea with incorporating the (nearly) same sound as the original with the flute thing, but you do have a bit too much attack on it. Nice idea, needs to be taken back to the drawing board, though. I love the game, and love the OST, so I look forward to hearing a second version of this relatively soon.
  21. Also, make sure you are remixing as opposed to medley mashup-ing... It just sounds a bit too coverish to me. It rocks, but not a remix.
