  1. Yeah, I'm noticing that too. Navi was sort of cute at first, but annoying as hell with her constant "HEY!" and "LISTEN!" over every single little thing that popped up or walked by. Midna, with her speech (it actually sounds like a language, not just random babblespeak) actually sounds like a person, and she only has something to say when you need it. I like Midna a whole hell of a lot more than Navi and the fairy from MM.
  2. Wii sports is the only significant error on the system, and that's the disc, not the system. At least Nintendo is offering to fix their hardware, unlike Sony's wonderful history. Remember those PS2s? And the PSP? Yeah. Let's see you get that PS3 fixed now.
  3. FUCKING HYRULE LAKE IS HUGE! Seriously, even just the main section of it is... it's fucking huge! It's massive. I'd say that most of, if not all, the world from Zelda OoT could fit in it. It's that fucking huge. I mean... christ! It's FUCKING HUGE. The scale is mind-boggling.
  4. Awesome. I'm looking forward to your WIP of it.
  5. I understand that some of us bought a Wii and/or PS3, but I hope that you still plan to do some work on those remixes in the next while.
  6. So, people use their PSPs and now PS3s to play old Nintendo games? Wow. That's saying something. But by saying it, I'll get labeled a fanboy or a troll.
  7. Fuck... Anyone know what to do when you have that little jousting match with the orc-thing on the boar? I've died three times to the guy (I went into it with only two hearts, and each time I continue, I still only have two, so dying happens very quickly. I only get a few shots at it before I get the "game over" screen again). It's obvious that you have to slash at him when he passes, but I haven't managed to land a hit on him yet.
  8. Just... just calm down. First. when you see the bob go down into the water, hold the wiimote straight up. Just hold it up. The fish will be caught. It might take a few seconds, so jsut wait. When you get the fish, I just pushed B and the cat took it.
  9. Good idea. Let's keep the old forums, and we can use the newer one as space for a page. Poinko has a bunch of stuff he did up when he joined, so maybe he can color them up and one of our photoshoppy people can tweak the images up a bit.
  10. I'm sure that those jaggies disappear when in motion. Or on a HDTV. Or when you smear some grease on the screen.
  11. How easily can you do a spin-attack maneuver in Wind Waker? I dunno about you, but I could almost never do one without queuing. It was even harder in the Gamecube version of OoT. Aiming for enemies in Wind Waker was also a pain sometimes.. and trying to shoot on horseback in OoT/MM was also very difficult, especially when hunting for Poes. No offense, but saying that "according to some people the wiimote isn't that great sometimes" is kinda silly. And people's expectations of a motion sensing controller might vary.. just a little bit. I would try it before I swore off the Wii version, at any rate. I think it's the whole point that the spin maneuver isn't as easy to pull off. Otherwise it'd be cheap. That's why the designs of the older games were much tighter in that sense. It all corresponded to the movements of the sticks and buttons well. I don't think this is surprising though. Even with the Twilight Princess, I could definitely see Nintendo yet to fully master the new controller. Another criticism I saw coming a mile away was how apparently the game is pretty easy compared to the likes of Majora's Mask or OoT. It seems that all the new Zeldas have a much easier learning curve. I wish the games were as challenging as LttP once was. That's a good point. It's possible that they wanted to make certain moves easier to let people get used to the controls. I have heard battles are difficult, not necessarily because of the wiimote, but more because the enemies are just hard - unlike in the other 3D games(at least Wind Waker, my memory of the other two is dimmer). LttP was challenging? I mean, I was really young at the time I first played it, but it was no more challenging than any other game I played. Although, pretty much the only thing I clearly remember from it was discovering Chris Houlihan's room... LttP was really tedious, but not quite as challenging as Link's Awakening. HOLY SHIT to Link's Awakening I might say. I still haven't beaten Eagle's tower, prolly cuz I haven't played the game sincee I was young, but that game seemed to me to be the epitome of brain killer. Amen. Eagle's Tower had some KILLER puzzles. They should bring those back, but I'm sure Nintendo probably regretted making it that hard. Maybe the first time through, but once you've played it, you can usually work through the game pretty easily.
  12. FUCKING HURRY UP AND GET HERE, SUNDAY MORNING! God damn it, I wish I was at work right now. At least then I'd have something to pass the time. FUCKING HURRY UP.
  13. And Sony gets their awesome free publicity, and all it cost was people stupidly freezing themselves for a few days, and a riot where people got hurt. You can't tell me that in the Sony offices, they aren't grinning and ringing their hands over this. They knew it would happen somewhere, and it did. And now they have the most "wanted" item in the world right now. And all it cost them was cutting back the number of units to the US. Which will then be made up for when the next batch comes in, and everybody that sees this crap rushes out to get one for themselves. Shame on Sony for letting it happen, shame on those people for letting it get that bad, and shame on the sheep that will perpetuate it by buying into the whole thing. And some of you wonder why I don't like Sony as a company; it has nothing to do with their comsole, it has to do with how they act.
  14. See, this is why I said , "don't get too far, Fusion, we still might be able to get the old one back." But did anyone listen? Nooooooo. No one ever listens to me. Yeah, let's use Fusion's space as the website, and maybe some storage space. If he's willing to share it, we might as well use it, right?
  15. I mostly agree with Fishy. The style you used wasn't exactly a good match for the original song. But if you can try out a piano version, maybe that would work out better. Lies. I looked it up, and dictionaries didn't have it.
  16. I didn't want to erase all that other stuff I wrote. It took a long time to type out, you know.
  17. Hook me up with your FC!! Here is mine: 4596 4561 0835 So, what exactly is wifi used for? Battling your teams ala Golden Sun, item trading, co-op?
  18. Post it here first, and we'll give it a listen. If we like, we'll see how it goes from there.
  19. While you're at it, could you also set it up so that I'm not just a normal member, and have some form of actual ability to do stuff? 'Cause, you know, I like being able to do stuff.
  20. You might want to add a "/forum" to the end of that link. That takes you right to it.
  21. Either way, lots of people are going to be paying him for his PS3s. I wonder how long it will be before claims of being ripped off come up. More importantly, I wonder how Sony will treat him if he sells them to European customers.
