  1. if you can get to detroit, there's a (relatively expensive) bus service to DC. you could get a ride from there. edit: if you've got the urge to drive to me, i'll drive you there...it's an 8-hour drive to where we'd meet, though, so that's a bit of a ride.
  2. so, i'm definitely going, now. huzzah! i'm assuming i'm still giving cyril a ride. beyond that, dunno.
  3. no, since i have little money to work with. i keep some of my older stuff on soundclick.com/theprophetofmephisto, but that's about it.

  4. it's probably because furaffinity kills your computer almost as fast as it kills your brain and sex appeal. sounds like an issue with the handling of cookies. assuming you've restarted recently and it's still giving you issues, try fully uninstalling your browser, rebooting, and installing firefox. if you're using firefox, you might just have a muddled setting - try the uninstall/reboot/reinstall thing as well. see if it works.
  5. why worry about if someone's on both lists? just ban them all straight-up.
  6. i should point out that this has been attempted twice. everyone likes that music, but no one likes it enough to remix it. also, mirby, don't start a project. you'll just look like even more of a nub when it fails within a week. xenogears was the exception, not the rule - you need star power to make a project work, and you need to be known. trust me. i've been involved in six or so, and have run one and am running one now. they're incredibly complex, and you'll just have it sputter and die if you can't constantly contribute creative creations to it. i had 1400 posts when i started RD with taucer, and it still took ages to finish - and it was short! wow, five c's in a row!
  7. hey man, check your pm inbox. or your voicemail, which would probably be a better idea.

  8. the link's in my profile.

  9. i can't believe i missed it to be with my in-laws =( you can't write this shit. thanks for the comments, though, folks. hilarious stuff.
  10. you'd be surprised how people get their name noticed by just saying that they can contribute. project threads love that kind of stuff.
  11. i learned a lot from those demo songs as well - in fact, most of my knowledge of FL's synthesizers comes from exploring those songs.
  12. he's not asking how to write a song, he's asking how to use a music composition program. got it.
  13. good to hear, man. i'm looking forward to hearing your new stuff when you sub it to me.
  14. keep your ears open about that over the next month or two. more info to come.

  15. he wants to learn the software without theory knowledge. doable, but pointless. give him musical knowledge and the software will come in time from fiddling with it.
  16. music theory - if you want to learn it, look at musictheory.net. or just google it - there's a billion websites out there (literally) that have info on introductory theory.
  17. www.musictheory.net would be a fantastic resource for you, then. seriously. go through the lessons, ask questions about them here.
  18. this is pretty true. it's also known as 'just business'. you can't fault them for wanting to reduce piracy and continue to milk the market down the line like they can for consoles and all that.
