particularly if you can either speak another language or have a good speaking voice. i'm working on a mix for something special here on OCR, and i need people to record themselves speaking a short segment of words (the lord's prayer, actually) in a variety of languages, over the course of about 45 seconds. i have: 1. swahili, american male voice 2. american male, normal voice 3. american woman, higher voice. 4. russian woman, lower voice. 5. (possibly) french woman, higher voice. i'd love it if i can get some more parts in here. it's going to all get layered together underneath some choral parts, so it doesn't need to be perfect. i'd love to have swedish, japanese, french male, italian, UK english, etc speakers involved - it'd be awesome, and you'd probably be able to get credit of a sort as well. thanks - pm me for more details!

hah, i'm on my own computer! the 9800gtx+ is a damn big card - almost didn't fit - but it's here, and i'm back to working on music. i'm off tomorrow, so i should be able to update then.

we've been using it in the graduate student lounge occasionally when someone gets really pissed off...extreme lulz.

i forgot to re-post, but i recieved this and im quite glad that i ordered it. i'm not as into the first few tracks, but there's some AWESOME tracks on here. highly recommended.

[/shrug] my info might be dated, but the ps3 does not make a good computer, although it DOES make one. that's the whole point i was trying to make.

according to a relatively old slashdot article (like, a few months), you have to use a third-party app to allow you to dual boot into both the ps3 menu and linux. i don't have a link, unfortunately, it's been ages since i read it.
