so, i've got this problem with windows. every time i start my computer, windows explorer (the GUI interface, not IE) jumps to 100% CPU usage. my computer isn't thinking or anything, it just doesn't DO anything. it acts like it's running some really huge processes, but the 'thinking' light doesn't even turn on, and the computer just lags really really bad. so i close 'explorer' with the task manager, and it runs fine. i've got more than a gig of ram in this computer, i've got a huge amount of space on my hard drive, i virus-scan my computer every week, and i know there's no spam on it. i THINK this started after running what turned out to be a bad keygen which tried to install a bunch of viruses on my computer. virus checker caught them before they were installed, and i was fine. this started about 2 weeks after that. what's causing my CPU problem? it's REALLY annoying not being able to access my icons in the desktop, and all that. does anyone have any idea? please just don't tell me to buy a mac, or run linux. i want a solution, not a retarded answer.

That mission was so fun! I had just gotten the elite enchantment Unyielding Aura. We were in such a bind towards the end and that skill proved really useful. We didn't do very good, but it was a great/fun struggle. i beat it last night. there were 5 lvl18+ guys and me, and we walked the whole damn way from LA to there. it was retarded...we got attacked by 26 level 24 minotaurs at one point. we did more than half the mission with at least two of us dead =) but we beat it, and i'm now almost a level 17 because of the 4k exp. we actually only beat it because of a lvl 18 monk who was absolutely awesome...good monks are ard to find, fo sho. oh, and xerol, where are you? i'll be online tonight and tomorrow some also - if you just want to whisper me, we can do some stuff together, provided you're not past divinity coast.

distortion on saxophone doesn't really sound all that hot usually, at least when i've used it. vocoder sounds really sexy, sometimes, as well as some really aggressive delay techniques. i'll show you sometime. but yeah, just send me the background and tell me where to go, and i'll go.

Brendan is actually planning on designating official "meetup" times for OCR, in the lounge, to help people get to know each other. They'll probably happen on Friday and Saturday afternoons. A lot of us already know each other, and I'm sure people will spots others in OCR shirts, but I'll post those times whenever he schedules them. i'm seriously debating wearing my OCR tshirt all weekend for this reason, but i'll probably break down and just take a white shirt and write 'the prophet' on it in sharpie.

i've been stuck around LA, trying to get out to do the garnath mission or whatever the hell it's called. i get fried before i even get to where the damn mission is supposed to take me. there's too many brute creatures out there ganging up on me. i died six times tonight - more than in the last week altogether. anyways, if you want to give this a shot, i'll be on tomorrow around 9ish EST. send me a whisper if you're a tank or a motank - i'm getting raped every time i go through there, and it's starting to piss me off.

i'm in. EDIT: i know we talked about doing acapella stuff in the bast as well in the old thread. are we going to be able to do barbershop-style stuff or whatever now? or do we HAVE to do stuff with zircon's background?

didn't taucer suggest 'balls' a while back as our project name? anyways, if we don't want to do that, my girlfriend suggested just now the name 'Primary', because they're blue, red, and yellow. it sounds much more innocent that way. LOL.

we don't have anything arranged yet, but LuIzA is going to help with arranging and she is doing the bass guitar part. What we have is: Style: Metal/Punk/Prog. - Guitar Battle Rhythm Guitars: Me, Fishy, Tensei-San Bass Guitar: LuIzA Drum Track: Doomsday Lead Guitars: Anyone listed so far that can play and wants to do a lead part as well. Note: Geoffrey Taucer has offered to help if we need it. That's what we have so far Fishy, and anyone else who asks. Also, everyone in the project so far check out General over at the project forum. depending on how you do this thing, i can do a wailing rock solo on my sax (although it'd probably be out of style) if you want it. or, if you have a desperate urge for vocals, my voice fits pretty well for a rock vocalist, if you wanted. i dunno. i just want to help out on this project.

since we've last posted, we've added two new mixers - tweek (his track is already almost done, and on the forums) and avaris (who's taken a track and already has it halfway done. i just don't remember what it is). just fyi. keep working on your wips! we're starting to turn the corner in terms of music being done - there's a lot of tracks that are almost completed! keep it up! taucer, update the front page, please.

i love how the pvp play changes all the time, in terms of stratagies and all that. i know a guy who thought he developed the best warrior build - and for a while, his W/N combo was the best i'd ever seen. he had a 31-win streak going at one point =) but now, every time he plays with that build, he gets wrecked. he's weak against mesmers, and once people figured that out he was screwed. i'm a fan of phoenix/inferno =) i've been using that a lot. i actually think that combo works better the other way around, because then you're doing damage during the casting time for phoenix.
