  1. you don't like warwick out of the jungle? i'm assuming you're going to mention skarner, who is a great jungler. i'm a bit burnt out on him at the moment, because it seems every game i play with him, i do really well, but we still lose. his lack of close-the-cap (beyond just going fast) means that it's hard to get that first hit, and beacuse he has no hard cc until level six, he's not good ganking at mid unless the other player's up at your tower because they'll just flash out. he has a high damage output and can do a lot, and his slow and general utility make him a lot of fun to play, but having that awesome initiation that ww has, plus being able to boost everyone's AS when pushing towers, plus the huge sustain from the lifesteal, just makes him so much more fun to play. now, ww suffers from a lot of the same issues - but ww can solo dragon at level five or six, whereas i rarely solo dragon ever with skarner. ww also doesn't really need blue, whereas skarner kind of needs it unless he gets a tear and levels it way up. early game, skarner also has to go back to base earlier and more often, since inevitably you'll run out of hp and mana, whereas ww tends to stay out a lot more. trundle's the same way - beacuse you can start with lifesteal on him, and with his passive, he's always got high hp. he also doesn't burn through mana that fast if you're careful about using contaminate. he lasts longer in lane, and that pillar gets kills hands-down. plus, trundle's biggest bonus is how he shuts down enemies - his q reduces AD by a significant amount, his ult reduces resistances, and his increased AS from contaminate allows him to get his hp back up quick between his passive and his lifesteal. even if his pillar wasn't so good, i'd say that his high damage output with q just makes him amazing. i know skarner's one of the top junglers in the game, but there's a reason people aren't seeing him as much anymore, just like other characters have started to fade a bit. i've always felt that junglers need some sort of hard cc to get early kills against smart opponents, and more and more that's what i'm seeing. characters like xin, shaco (fear), rammus, and jax are becoming more and more used because of their high early-game damage output and their hard cc, and honestly, i'd take hard cc over light cc and more damage against a good teamcomp.
  2. i've been playing a lot lately as warwick or trundle. both are just so good out of the jungle that i'm having trouble finding other jungle characters that are better to play, unless you need a primary tank like rammus or an ap like mummy or shitshaco. i think i'm going to learn to jungle jax and xin next. trundle is awesome because he just shits damage all the time, can take a beating, and his passive is amazing at keeping his hp up in lane even without lifesteal. it's awesome walling someone in hard, though - i had a game where i boxed in rammus powerballing away on two different occasions, and we managed to catch him as a result. i build him super-tanky, with wriggles, merc treads, sheen or phage into trinity force, then atmogs and usually a ga. i *never* finish builds in my games, usually because they're either over quickly or because i'm a tank and don't get much gold, but i finished that build and maxed consumables two or three times in five games as him. that's pretty good farm for me =) he's already got absurd AS and stock AD, and being able to get up past 500 damage every 3 seconds with his q - resetting the attack animation! - is just awesome. as long as your teammates are smart and understand his limitations early game, he's great, and gets first blood or early assist every game. ww is awesome not only because of his ult being just so good, but also because by the end of the game he can just stand around and take on almost anyone 1v1, and annihilate them. i tend to build him with on-hit effects and some damage, so stuff like wriggles, spellpen boots, wits end, malady, etc. i did tankwick one game a while back with wits end, wriggles, old starks, merc treads, warmogs, and FoN, and nothing could kill me without constantly disabling me - i could just lifesteal everything back, my passive hp regen was absurd, and i would just run away if they started to really hurt thanks to his e.
  3. she's an excellent jungle, actually, although she gets most of her money and experience from kills - making her just as all-or-nothing as in lane. i've had an ad poppy creamate my team from excellently timed ganks all over the place.
  4. if someone's got an old account, i'll play on it. it's been years and years since i've played. i had a warrior, monk, elementalist, ranger, and paragon.
  5. for what it's worth, i really enjoy this ep in my car. i've got a decent sound system - nothing special, but i do have a sub in the trunk - and it really wops hard to this, which is fun =) also love the chip influences.
  6. wrong point to make. halo 4 continued because they wanted more halo, and MC is literally the biggest thing to point to in the halo universe that is certifiably "halo". like, remove spartans from Halo Wars, and it's just another strategy game. him, cortana, and the rings (which are gone)...beyond that, what's big about the universe? ME has a depth of detail in all aspects of the game, and in all the races, that allows for more games to come without being directly linked the touchpoints of shephard, blue chicks, and sex simulators (a la Fox). it's still so much more than shephard, where as Halo crumbles with the chief. plus, who doesn't want to play as a krogan? as a turian? as different classes, different loadouts, play with different squad ability synergies? master chief generic clone 1 is no different than clone 5, whereas each shepherd - and each character - is unique in their style, substance, and usability in different game situations. yes, i read the Halo books, yes i'm a Halo fanboy and will buy any game they come out with. doesn't chamge my opinion.
  7. btw, flex, i'm in. sorry i never got back to you. i'm just slow.
  8. i don't use movespeed because i don't own them atm. they're next on the list, since hp quints don't do a whole lot after level three. i don't know about you guys, but i only have three rune pages - an ap caster page, an ad melee page, and a tank page. i rarely change my runepages around to adjust for who i want to play, because i don't want to get caught in a game where i want to play a certain champ and then can't because i don't have the runes for it. do you all swap constantly?
  9. jungling him, i used either ad/armor/mr5/hp for tanks or magpen/armor/mr5/ap for bruiser. most of your damage comes from w, honestly, so i'd usually go w-e-w-q-w to allow for taking a few tower hits occasionally. after that, i max riptide, max shield, max grab. he's super fun to play because he's so goddamned big. i played with an annie in lane as a bioshock joke with a buddy and she's seriously a quarter of my size. it's just like laning mummy or blitz - as long as you're careful about your mana usage and coordinate with your lane partner, you're fine. if you spam early, you're fucked beacuse he doesn't do anything without mana.
  10. ad sion can tank an entire team with his ult and some lifesteal by 3/4 of the way through the game, and his ult (50% lifesteal to the entire team) is absurd with as few as one other melee character on the team. ap sion can solo almost anyone because his stun's a 3s that's up every 8 or 9 seconds. he's also impossible to keep down - like gragas, in a long game he *always* gets farmed, and you can never count him out as a result.
  11. blitz, yorick, etc. league of mathematicians has convinced me. i'll focus on ap tonight and see what happens.
  12. shen was a 0-kill character most of the time before the patch. now he gets a few kills and can solo a lane without just getting pooped on. this is a nice change.
  13. with the way that i was building him, i did roughly 60% AD, with my base AD being around 200 after manamune and phage. the bonuses for his shield and passive were just applied on top of that, so while i didn't deal tons of damage, i was very disruptive and wasn't getting melted super-fast like other bruisers sometimes can be once focused. he also does a lot of burst either way - his e and ult really do a lot of damage even with no bonuses on them, and i'm sure it's absurd once you get him built AP. i was going to try building him AP tonight to try him out in both directions. i like that he can be build both ways - like, skarner can go in either direction, although he's not as good as an AP IMO than he is AD - and is still viable. i'll fotz with a pissed-off-singed build tonight on him and see how i do. do you think that CDR on him would be good? either through cdr boots, frozen mallet, or other options? also, would lich bane be a viable replacement for abyssal or (sacrificing speed) shurelya's?
  14. i compare him to a bruiser version of malphite and mummy, between the ult, the toss, and the AoE damage on attack. i've building him AD, with ninja tabi, philo/HoG, and manamune, and either aegis, wriggles, sheen, or mallet based on how the game is going and what we need. he's just so fun, and i'm so glad i got him day one as i'll be playing him a lot over the next few weeks before he gets nerfed. honestly, though, while he deals a lot of ad, his AS is pretty slow, and he's not that quick as it is. if he gets nerfed, i'm sure it'll be on his cooldowns, since after he gets some CD he's skarner-esque in his spamming. edit: also, leona isn't the best initiator, because it's so easy for her to miss and then be worthless. malph is the best team initiation, as his ult is an AoE knockup/stun and then he can prevent people from leaving quick with his hubcap. rammus is the best gank initiator, as flash/ball is absurdly difficult to avoid, and the taunt is just sooooo good.
  15. DAT CHIP MONSTAH HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooOOOOOOO
  16. *i* would never be caught dead playing him, as he drives me nuts. with him on my team, however, he's bloody awesome! plus he gets magical healing thanks to spellvamp and morons running into his mushrooms.
  17. played an awesome teamcomp for several games tonight. taric (heal clarity) teemo bot, gragas/morde mid, singed jungle, jax/gp/kong top. taric and teemo boss around all carry/support lanes hard by shutting down autoattacks and stunning constantly, and always nabbing bottom blue when it's up to deny enemy jungler. mid just is so tanky and can boss anyone around hard. jungle isn't that great, but ganks are easy from the goop, and his toss basically ensures a kill all the time. top lane is whoever you feel like, because jungler or mid can go up top and help out all the time. you've got gragas ult and taric stun as hard cc, plus singed slow and toss, jax stun, and teemo's blind. there's enormous poke with barrels, parrrley, and blind shot, as well as everyone having a lot of escapes. it all comes down to managing your fights, and the other team will screw up before you do if you do it well. as taric uber-support build, going with philo stone, boots, then aegis, then mana manip, here's my games for the night with this team: 4-2-19, 3-0-6 25m surrender, 0-2-15, 1-2-14. yes, that's me not dying more than twice in four straight games as a tanky support. we had a touch of trouble in one game that was sona/yorick bot, because yorick could heal so hard so much, and their kong jungle was really good. we only died once each in bot to them, but it was a lot harder to farm. it works out ok though because with heal/clarity and taric's heal, i can appear to be next to death and then be completely full, stunning one of them and getting teemo kills constantly. it doesn't matter later, though - as long as your top lane doesn't take unnecessary risks (having a gp top for the extra gold from ult assists helps out a lot), you inevitably wind up higher levels because every lane has so much sustain. as far as teemo/taric lane, it's easily one of the best i've ever been in. we faced a shen/graves, yorick/sona, alistar/graves, and janna/rumble (which was way cooler than it sounds, double shield was really annoying), and just absolutely blew them away. i want to face a vayne/soraka or cait/soraka, still, but if it ranks up there with the best bottom lanes, i'm cool with it =)
  18. i've really been enjoying what little i played of this game. i beat the first one, and i enjoyed the combat, although the storyline was a bit lacking and it took a while to get off the ground. one of the big issues with the game is that people keep saying "i want to control everything"...but you ARE controlling everything, just not in the way that you think. people see three characters on-screen, and expect to be able to control those three characters. instead, they're controlling the aggregate of them, a single fighting unit. you can still do specific strategies, but the game streamlines the fighting experience so you don't have to sit there and menu it up forever. it makes the fights a lot more exhilerating, in my opinion, and the change to be more fast-paced is a definite positive.
  19. wynks builds him movespeed, which is hysterical to see. nothing can escape his 2k crits of doom.
  20. with mao i usually do 9-21 for magic pen and defense, or 0-9-21 for utility.
  21. yep. denies their promote if they bring it, and hoses anything else they can do. using blood boil on that promoted minion will help too. i'd want a hero with tons of escape and harass, like ad kennen. go for tower pushing and just crap on them if they push too hard.
  22. oh, i know zero's waaaaaaaay better than me. i was just pissed that we got shat on so hard. plus the name miki zero tolerance is funny!
