  1. arkham is going to bardicknowledge, who is paying me nine thousand dollars. /thread
  2. how much for arkham city?

  3. jordan we both know that you're not even good at LoL, let alone this musicking thing as for tracks, here's mine:
  4. pick good songs for me so i don't have to research, and i'd be up for this. as long as you finish a song for once, sir_nuts!
  5. what does it retail for, 50$? give me something less than that and it's yours. it's for a digital download of arkham city when it releases in a week. easy way to save a few bucks from buying it through steam or elsewhere. first PM with a reasonable offer gets it.
  6. got a spot in your group? =)

  7. i'd be up for teaming up with someone who is interested. let me know if you're up for something =)
  8. bought a 50m SP character for just under 100$. can't complain at that, that's the equivalent of 2.8b ISK =) now i need to find a PvE/mining corp. preferably mostly PvE.
  9. TF is a cowboy. in terms of l30 OCR people that play together, i know that zero, myself, zircon, derrit, kitty, and radiofreegamer are all 30s, with bardic close behind. i'm sure that the seven of us will be able to get together at some point =)
  10. if seb can make it...i need to be there again!
  11. i often get morello's on fiddlesticks. with the masteries and 11% CDR from blues and quints, i get max CDR with just one item. i usually get my rod of ages as soon as possible, and then my next item is either fiendish codex or spellpen boots, with the other coming next.
  12. don't care about location. ideally, it flies a hulk and a BS, with excellent cap and either shield or armor skills. t2 drones are a plus. BS V, BC V, cruiser V, and frigate V are all pluses. leadership skills are a definite plus. here's my post. i realize that's a bit of a pipe dream, but my old character was skilled into marauders with t2 guns, t2 drones, t2 standard launchers, had a hulk, and was able to fly everything from a wolf to a vargur (except recon and covie BSes) on the minmatar side. in under 24m SP. he was perfect. i shouldn't have sold him. i would be comfortable spending a decent amount on it - up to 200$ in real-world cash. in terms of ISK, that's flexible, since PLEXes are always changing in price.
  13. sure, used games are going somewhere. they don't exist on the PC, and they could get similar response from the console market by doing what they're already doing - restricting access to online content through codes. do it more, i say. as for the heavy rain thing, of course they'd have gotten more money from a better game. doesn't matter if it's shadow of the colossus or GTA whatever or the latest madden game, that's always the case. but saying that they lost more money to that than to used - considering that a game usually sells twice as many copies used as it does new - is a lie. i buy used occasionally, sure. but i buy the game when it's reached that used price if i continue to play it. i'm still supporting that developer with my money. if you don't think HR is worth 60$, great! wait till it's 40$, or 20$, and pay it then. don't pay 45$ at a game store and lie to yourself that you're not affecting the game developer, because you are. you're using their servers, and playing their game, and paying less because you didn't feel like opening a new package and spending 15$ more. as for gaming systems, show me a computer that you could buy in 2006 when the 360 came out that still plays cutting-edge games on the high-to-ultra settings in 1080p. doesn't exist under $3k, and likely costs five times as much to run thanks to high power draw and inefficient graphics processors. as for "long term with a console"...what do you mean? are you talking about buying the games for a console vs. pirating them for pc? if you're talking about consoles taking a dive over time, don't make me pull out three-year failure rates for big-box PCs. i know that both the xbox and PS3 have had hardware issues, but once they were resolved - in both cases, by the natural process of shrinking the die, same as that issue is solved on a PC - failure rates for consoles over three years are a quarter of what PCs are in one year. you could easily buy two consoles between 2006 and today and pay less than what you would for a gaming system that's relevant today as well as back then. let's leave the computer pricing guides to me, since it's what i do =) as a guy who is trying to sell PCs, it's more cost efficient for gamers to use consoles. that's why pandering to the console market (here's looking at you, Dragon Age 2!) is so important for game makers...because there's a larger batch of people looking to buy from them, and because the lack of variable system hardware makes it way easier to design and write code for. i can agree that there are paid websites that stream content digitally. since you don't usually have to pay for online access with a pc while you do with a 360, that's a fair cop, i guess. surprisingly enough, social features like last.fm and facebook get used in my house simply because i don't have my computer hooked up to the big flatscreen, so when i show pictures to friends i do it through my xbox. same with most of the other integrated stuff besides twitter. i realize that's not as much of a selling point, but yeah. edit: erm, uh, moving on, i guess...just saw the other posts.
  14. seriously, though, anyone have or know of an account for sale? i'll give you cash. avoiding the character bazaar would be awesome because there's nothing but scatterbrained crap, holding toons, or ultra-specialized hulk pilots available. nothing PvE focused, either, which would be my interest. i'll offer a finder's fee if you find a decent one that goes through.
  15. if you're tanking, don't get a single AP item besides maybe abyssal scepter if your team is rocking. if you're going for AP tanky dps - which, to be honest, other characters do better at - then i'd build your boots and philo stone and then either go for AP items if you're rocking or tank items if you're not.
  16. correct. if you're having issues with life, don't get will of the ancients. ali doesn't do enough with his abilities to make it worth it. i'd always get FH for the mana and armor, and for HP i'd look at something like rylai's or sunfire cape. usually if ali's having a problem staying alive it's not his resists (depending on what he's building), it's his lower HP at high levels when he doesn't build hp items. same as amumu and rammus. also, something i've been doing is to go with merc treads early (for the resists and tenacity bonus), then late game (after you've gotten more than enough cash from your philo stone) selling them and going with CDR boots, and upgrading to the miracle then. i often end games without switching over, though, which isn't a bad thing - you get CDR from frozen heart, and keeping a philo stone to the bitter end is a good way to ensure a consistent cash influx. edit: dexie's right, though - when i don't get cdr boots, i go with shurelya's for the HP bonus and excellent active ability.
  17. i was under the impression that you can only queue solo or with a five in ranked games.
  18. pretty lol, toad. if by dumbed down, you mean a 350$-400$ unit that can play current-gen games with stunning graphics (albeit not quite as nicely as a 1200$ computer can do it, but way better at 1080p than even a decent system for new games) as well as legally stream TV, browse the web, and use social media features, all while requiring you to support game developers instead of undercutting them by buying used and supporting GameStupid? SOUNDS TERRIBLE.
  19. shouldn't have sold it. i want to play again. someone sell me their account.
  20. i thought it was pretty cool, either way. it was funny seeing all those voice actors dressed up like their characters.
