  1. Anyone know what time it'll be opened? Midnight in Japan?
  2. I'd love a Wii or DS Starcraft / Blizzard RTS. It'll probably be a Starcraft MMO though....
  3. Hopefully they'll get the hang of online soon, Hunters wasn't bad at all. If they keep along the lines of that I'll be happy. Also, Tomb Raider Aniversary on Wii: http://wii.ign.com/articles/788/788338p1.html I liked the first 2 on PS1, I'll probably pick this one up. Something to play along with RE4 during the summer.
  4. I went and bought some new cables to see if that's what it was, and it still happens. Looks like I'm gonna have to send this in. The guy at Circuit City said the same thing happened to his friend's, and they replaced it no problem, so that's good. Nintendo is usually awesome with customer service. Just gonna finish up Zelda on it, then I can play something else for a week or so.
  5. Hey, does anyone here have sound troubles with their Wii? No matter what I connect it to, the audio clips like crazy. This is particularly noticable in Zelda on Hyrule Field, with the really loud bassline. I tried connecting the Wii directly to my stereo instead of through my TV, and it still does it. Anyone else experience this? It sounds like the entire thing is being run through some light overdrive.
  6. Yeah, the one with elves is almost definitely Treasure Mountain.
  7. Hey, I just got a Wii with Super Paper Mario, and I'm looking at Far Cry Instincts, as it's only $20, and another game would be nice. The reviews I've read either hated it with every ounce of their body or loved it despite its graphical flaws. Anyone here play it? Is it worth $20?
  8. Wow, this is REALLY good! I wish I could offer some advice as to how to make this better, but I don't hear anything wrong with it. Excellent work, can't wait to hear further versions / see if this is accepted!
  9. Really nice sounding, I like it. It sounds a little muffled; hardly any bass at all. What were the drum hits at the end? Was that accidental? The song is really good, just something about it sounds wierd. Try messing around with the EQ, I don't know what specifically though.
  10. Alright, updated the song a bunch, link in first post.
  11. I just started working on this the other day, and I'm wondering if it's worth continuing. Any thoughts? http://myweb.cableone.net/rebelart/wttj.mp3
  12. If you want to learn to make games, finding a tool is the wrong thing to look at. You're going to need to learn to program. My suggestion is using Game Maker, from www.gamemaker.nl to start off. This is what I learned on, and it's a great peice of software. Check out the community there, follow some tutorials, and you'll be making simple games after a little while. Just so you know, programming isn't always easy, and can be a bit daunting to learn, but personally I think it's totally worth it.
  13. Again, like everyone has said so far, this is awesome. The only thing I think it's missing is a live guitar. Unfortunately, I am not a guitar player, otherwise I'd love to help. I do play bass though, so if you want I could try and help you there, although I'm not sure how well I can record on this computer. I'd give it a shot though.
  14. I've been working on this, and would really appreciate some feedback of how it's coming and what I should do to improve it. Thanks a bunch! EDIT: Worked on it a ton, hopefully this sounds better. Named in reference to the most frustrating platformer level ever, even if it's in Yoshi's Island and not Tetris Attack. 15. I think the greatest part about this is the fact that he intends it to roam the desert; This thing is far from stationary, it's gonna freaking own the desert landscape. It's like the US's secret boss or something, like Ruby Weapon.

Am I the only one who was puzzled as to why Sparta had a bottomless pit in the center?
  17. Wow, I'm surprised so many people here are excited for this, given the fact that this is a music based community. Guitar Hero was definitely a fun game, but assuming a similar price range for the rest of the instruments, and the task of finding other people to play with, it seems like it would be so much more productive to just start an actual band. The songs already take time to practice, and I'd rather spend the time practicing playing the real song instead of a simplified version of it on a plastic instrument. Anyone else feel the same way?
  18. Yup, I've always done that, I can't pick worth crap.
  19. Alright, thanks. I didn't really know if it was important or not, but the ones that are on it now are falling apart. I'll probably go with round then, since I'm used to those.
  20. Alright, I just bought a used one of these for $125, and it's going to need some new strings. I'm not entirely knowledgable on the topic, and I'd like some suggestions of what kind to buy. I'm mainly going to be playing metal/punk kind of stuff, so that should give an idea of the kind of sound that'd be ideal. Thanks!
  21. So I got around to buying a functioning PS2, as my old one was a launch PS2, meaning disk read errors galore. I'm scrounging through the bargin bins at Gamestop and EB and playing all the games that looked good that I never got a chance to try before. Here's what I have now: Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 Beyond Good and Evil Silent Hill 2 XIII Contra: Shattered Soldier I'm gonna pick up Resident Evil 4 and Shadow of the Colossus soon. What else should I look in to? Recommend any games you enjoyed, I tend to like pretty much anything.
  22. That's really nice looking. I'm definitely gonna check this out when it gets farther.
  23. I thought the same thing when I saw the trailer. The only thing it has in common with the games is the fact that there are zombies.
  24. Also, two things to check for: faulty RAM, and your processor fan. I've seen both of those things cause that exact problem. To test you're ram, just swap it out with known working ram and see if it still happens. For the fan, just run it with the case open.
  25. Awesome, thanks! I really like this mix.
