Very cool- this'll be the first thing to get me to do some music in a while. I take it it's individuals, not teams, right? And it can just be any song from a Zone? What about voting / etc? Also, is this any Sonic game? The Adventure games have some awesome tracks I'd love to consider.

This is awesome, although I would have expected a different Uematsu piece. Maybe Terra's theme or Liberi Fatali. Still, nice to see him in there!

I just like the idea of making Sonic remixes. I think a story is unnecessary.

I'm polishing up one of my Wily Remix Compo entries and I figured I'd make a thread for it here. It's a vocal remix of Megaman 7's Wily Stage 4, with some Pirate Man mixed in too. This is really cool I think the beginning got a bit repetitive before it really started to pick up around 2:00 or so. I also don't think the second part of the source was used very much- this sounds like it'd be a fantastic choice to mix with another part of the soundtrack. It'd give you more options and let you add more to what's there- maybe the Maridia theme?

Personally I think this thread should have been organizing a massive OCR revamp of this for a while now. I'd happy volunteer to do bass and manscreams / the spoken Rob Zombie style parts. Brandon, Fishy, guitars? Stevo, drums / arrangement?

I lay down a simple drum beat and then write a bassline. Sometimes it's something simple that winds up just mirroring the rhythm guitars, sometimes it isn't. It helps me figure out both the rhythm and chord progression at once.

Thanks for all the help guys! Sent it to a judge to get final feedback before resubbing. Gario, there are backup vocals in the chorus, pre-chorus (Let me go, gravity...), and the bridge (Where did we meet before...). Which ones are you referring to? The only time there aren't background vocals are during the "Calling" verses and the very end where they drop out to give room to the spoken word bit. I'm curious to know which part you're saying works the best. Thanks again for all your help, I wouldn't have been able to get it here otherwise!

The Wily theme, for sure. It may not be bad, but it's easily the worst Megaman song that comes to mind.
