I guess this sums it all up really. There wasn't really too much of a ruckus here about wavedashing here. Mostly on Smashboards... I wonder though what little technical tricks will be found in Brawl. Guess we'll all find out. As for direction air dodging vs. kinetic air dodging, I like the idea of both. I don't know which I like better. Directional air dodging allows for more mind game possibilities while kinetic air dodging makes us have to take a step back to consider if the air dodging we're about to do is a wise decision or not for it may lead to dire circumstances.

I've heard this guy makes his own models. Is this true? Even if it isn't, the fight choreography is extremely intricate. Awesome.

Wavedashing would still be possible in Brawl if air dodging was still directional like it is in Melee. That's why wavelanding is still possible in Brawl for the most part.

Ever since I got to play Super Mario Galaxy at the initial revealing at E3, I just keep finding more and more to like. A purely orchestral soundtrack would definitely be appropriate for this game! I can't wait to hear all the music!

The whole "I'm too good for wavedashing" is incredibly LMAO. Obviously this wasn't a real tournament with any shred of real competition. In any case, from everything I hear about Brawl from all my friends that went to E For All, it seems like a pretty sweet deal we're going to get. I hear quite a bit about the lack of wavedashing but wavelanding is still possible. Also I hear a bit about sweet spotting... seems like you can grab edge easily from what I hear... kinda like Mario's "magnet hands" in Melee. Anyone that was there able to add anything to that? Also my friend says Zero Suit Samus's Final Smash is just her getting her suit back, but if you're close to her when she gets the suit back, you just get annihilated. Awesome, I guess, but it seems like Zero Suit Samus isn't selectable from the start. Many people were saying how they were holding buttons and what not before matches to find out if you could start off as her. I hope this won't be the case in the final game. This is correct. L Canceling was there even back in the N64 days, but back then it was called Z Canceling. I guess Z was the button to use then to Lag Cancel... nowadays L Canceling just refers to Lag Canceling and not just canceling lag with the L button specifically.

If anyone is confused by this post, he means "tilts." I see one character model and three screen shots on both the Japanese and US sites. I don't think they got an extra screen...

This would make a lot more sense than random hearts/peaches appearing out of nowhere.

Since Peach never seems to die in the hands of a good player, that just makes things disgustingly worse if she can just get her health back.

Sweet spotting is using an up+B recovery move to just barely grab edge at the pinnacle of the recovery move.

That's probably what it would be. If you watch the video, Sonic does a sweep move much like Mario's down smash at some point so that's probably his down smash. If that's not Sonic's down B, then it'll be his down tilt A.

Yea but he doesn't fall in the category of being a vet... Icons 1-14 are icons of series that have already made an appearance in Smash. It's very possible that there will be many more characters. Melee had 25 (26 if you're picky and count Sheik) and we've yet to get to 25 characters... Is it safe to assume the original four secret characters from 64 (Luigi, Captain Falcon, Jigglypuff, and Ness) are going to return again? I'd like to say they're keeping those four a secret as a throwback to the original Smash... but that's just me.
