and I say this because I'm not sure where to take the track. listen here (mp3 link) I'm leaning towards something that's more of a rock ballad, but I'm not entirely sure. What you hear here is really short. However, I will keep on updating this link as I go along, and I will probably make "archive" versions for comparison later on.

Here is my remix for FF7 - Can you hear the cry of the planet. Still new to mixing, tracking, etc... Just wondering what everyone thinks of my first submission. Drums are done with Superior Drummer 2. Any pointers on how to clean up the mix would be greatly appreciated! Hello there guys, it's me BadLiZ again. Another project going on and I'd like to hear your feedback on this or these: Like the title says, it's a introduction song from Turrican II https://dl.dropbox.com/u/817678/turrican5p.mp3(latest) & https://dl.dropbox.com/u/817678/turrican5oa.mp3 Which one sounds better and which one needs fixing, etc? http://soundcloud.com/christophercollins-3/what-should-be-star-ocean Progressive metal remix of the song - first half is basically the actual song, then I go into some different stuff. I'm mostly looking for help on the mixing. I also will probably have to re record the metal guitars to get it accepted but, that's as good as I can play right now... See ya!! edit: Source here The first departure version sounds a little different from the original Star Ocean 1 version. what with the piano not being in there (or changed to the boopy synth)

In celebration of the winter, I decided to start up a Metroid remix. I'm still working on that Tales remix I posted a long time ago (the one where the stupid file got corrupted), but this is something sort of similar to that I wanted to share. I've still gotta figure out what to do with the intro, how to kind of build up to the song. Mixing may be a little awkward too - it's been a while since I've done mixing (or composition) of any sort, so sorry if it's kind of bad. Remix: https://www.box.com/s/vw2v67eumrgnjhamcyaf Source: Enjoy what I have so far. Hopefully this song and the Tales remix will be finished within the next month or so. Just need to actually have time to finish them D:

My first original, inspired by a few games I played! Has a sort of Blazblue feel to it, somehow. Tell me what you think!

Wanted to try something that hasn't been done before. Ironic, considering that this is Chemical Plant Zone. Just started this a few days ago. Wanted to make something that you could tap your feet to. Still needs a lot of work. Can't find that lead I'm looking for, so I left it out. Having a lot of fun working on this, but still have to make an ending that isn't a cheap fade-out like I've done before. Gonna EQ more tonight. Tell me what you think for starters. Edit: Ignore that bit after 2:15. That was unintentionally left it as I'll be using that as a bridge, later on. Demo: Source:

Or more accurately, "Super Metroid Prologue and Ending Themes with also the NES Metroid Ending Theme in there for good measure." Remix on SoundCloud Sources on YouTube: Let me know any thoughts!

Started this one yesterday and quite liking how its going. Its an early WIP so lacking in polish. The drums are just on a loop and so nothing particularly exciting. With the lead sax, it could end up being a real recorded sax or it may end up with some trombone. Not fully decided...I could always have both. But yeah, let me know what you think. Hey guys and gals. Working on my vocals a lot at the moment (singing and abrasive). I wrote these specifically to work on melodic bellowing. Thoughts appreciated, of course. http://soundcloud.com/tobosaurus/anonfemme-dandelion et http://soundcloud.com/tobosaurus/anonfemme-you-tree

wip Platonist - M4D R3SOLVE! (Chiptastic, Week3)
Platonist posted a topic in Post Your Original Music!
hello, guys. we don't have hurricanes in Sweden. but we do have soundcloud. so in the midst of the chaos that befall many of you right now, i'm contributing with a new chip, and also kinda announcing a weekly chip series on soundcloud. gonna post at least one / week. and hopefully it'll keep going. I'm on the third one right now, and you can grab all three on my soundcloud: http://soundcloud.com/platonist any feedback would be appreciated! thanks, Jonas -
EDIT: Newer version: http://soundcloud.com/skolarstar/draw-a-big-mushroom-v2 --- Alright good ol' OCR, here goes! I've been working with Logic Pro 9 for a while and I'm absolutely positive that I have no clue what I'm doing. Having said that, here's a remix I made! It's still very much in its beginning stages of everything, but I figured I'd go ahead and jump on in and start getting feedback from people who actually know what they're talking about, rather than fake my way through polishing it up on my own. My take on the "Special World 8" music from Super Mario 3D Land, also known as the "Draw Mario" song. http://soundcloud.com/skolarstar/draw-a-big-mushroom Comments and criticism of any kind is welcome, I'm totally new to this.

First of all, let me say that I'm pretty new to the whole recording/mixing process, and know virtually nothing about mastering. Using Guitar Rig 5 for tones, Superior Drummer 2.0, some random free bass VST for that. Maybe about 2 3rds of the initial arrangement done, figuring out what I'm doing for a lot of it, as I go along. http://soundcloud.com/marc-rigg/lances-theme/s-jMAwj Thoughts, advice etc would be appreciated.

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/81603940/First%20Orchestral.mp3 I just wanted to hear thoughts on what's good or bad regarding anything but particularly production types of issues. It's still in progress. I'm sorry to suddenly post this out of the blue. I have to go to bed now but I promise to give the best feedback I can on at least three other songs in this forum very soon. I don't wish to take advantage of the community without giving something in return. Thanks a lot for your help in advance.

Hi there. Long time lurker here. I had this crazy nostalgic moment last night and I ended up making a remix out of one of my favorite snes tracks ever. http://soundcloud.com/jnrd/bigbluewtf I would like to point out that I know very little about mastering, and I'm using a Fatal1ty gaming headset anyway so the quality is probably really bad.
