  1. Hey, MikeViper here. I just finished a composition called "Dancing and Skating". It's similar to something you might hear in Jet Set Radio Future. You can listen to it here:
  2. Sup? A while back I decided to cover the Sand Ocean theme from F Zero GX. It's only the best racing game ever made. Here's my version https://soundcloud.com/angelcityoutlaw/f-zero-gx-sand-ocean Here's the source tune - I'm aware that this isn't top notch stuff, but I'm open to any criticisms you have.
  3. I know the name is weird, but I promise there's a point to it. The long made short is Prologue accidentally got smashed together with the theme from Lava Reef Zone, and while I was painstakingly disassembling the smash-up, some of the parts gelled, mixed in some of my own thoughts and voila! Im not sure what remains of Lava Reef so it's best i just give credit(TBH i think it's just one pad track, not much, but still....) still it's 70% prologue 25% Me 5% MIA (Presumed Sonic) I hope no one accuses me of blaspheming an immaculate Video Game Score, so if I have, I did it in the name of interpretation. The twitchyness of the some of the spots gave me a feeling of unsettaling electric-ness. The drums are ghost like wandering to and fro, not much else to say. ( Oh God I spelled Prologue wrong in the url....) Reason 7 is my DAW if that helps, so any help is greatly appreciated. https://soundcloud.com/daniel-lesuer/prolouge-to-a-burning-reef
  4. https://soundcloud.com/haircutofficial/journey A new electro song I produced. I'm pretty new at it but I really think this song has potential and I would like some feedback. Thanks!
  5. https://soundcloud.com/neblixmusic/juggernaut-test-01 Hey guys! Testing out ISW Juggernaut. Strings are EWQLSO, the choir is some soundfonts.
  6. | Tindeck LinkI picked up Bravely Default yesterday and immediately after hearing this theme, I knew I had to make a little arrangement of it. The art and sound design of Bravely Default are pretty unique - it's incredible the amount of depth that they've achieved in such a sprawling game, and the attention to detail is amazing. I really liked this track too, has some really nice key changes and stuff. Enjoy!
  7. Hi there. Recently, I posted a WIP I was working on and now I can say it's finished, it has a proper intro and ending and, if I change something, it'll be some variation to make it less "loopy"... not planning on doing many changes though. Here's the original: And here's my remake: https://app.box.com/s/sw8dpuhhhavv9fyz7bvn I was going for an 80's electronic feel, just as the game "suggested" me to, so I tried using mainly synths, and after listening to it too many times for my own good, I think I like it hahaha. Hope you retrogamers and nostalgic people enjoy ... I'm starting to feel old when too many people don't know what Gradius or Salamander is :S Gotta love good old Konami. Cheers!
  8. god, sequencing is hard. haven't done much of it in ages (literally), and i'm slooooow. managed to sorta finish this one a good while after ear fatigue set in. still gotta soften the drums a bit in the first half, and probly add some more textures here and there. simple piece, not that ecstatic about it, but it feels good to have rendered something. feedback appreciated! https://soundcloud.com/skoshu/lalu
  9. Resolution Vox (Soundcloud) Just sharing with the group : ) Hope it's enjoyable.
  10. Quick copypasta from the vid desc: This track's essentially a two-parter with a story. The heroes of Tyria are at the doorstep of her [scarlet's] final stronghold. Little of her resources remain. She spends what little time left pacing, thinking, planning. She's cornered; how is she supposed to stand against the might of Tyria's best warriors? In one final desperate move, she emerges, bringing the combined might of her remaining alliance for one final battle.
  11. Finally organized my remixes page and dropped these two remixes from the FF6 contest onto it. Tracks are "Throne Reborn" and "Loco Motion": http://solesignalmusic.com/documents/remixes.html Haven't been too active lately, but do have some cool things coming. I'll have four tracks on the upcoming SM64 project and a original project that I'll be announcing soon.
  12. Um... Hello everyone? Long time lurker and listener, first time posting anything. Well I guess I'll just get right to the point - I have here a ReMix of my own that I made over a year ago. While it's probably not on par with much of the rest of the stuff on this forum, I do hope you'll give it a listen. I would appreciate some honest feedback on my little pet project. Here is the link And here is the URL for anyone who can't click the link for whatever reason: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8CfazFuANSxaXdhUEJGNk5VM0k/edit?usp=sharing Also I do hope that Google Drive is an acceptable file host...
  13. HI:) I'm new here and this is the first song i post. here you can listen to my song (i know the quality is really bad, but i hope you can hear the melodie i was thinking of) https://soundcloud.com/janeh99/all-i-got Lyrics: All I got is a box underneath my bed, filled with pictures of a life i never had All I got are the dreams I never dreamed, the footprints I never made I said Hello and Goodbye like the waves at the beach which usaed to be my favourite spot in town i don't know how many times I've been sitting there playing my guitar This was my perfect little world, but then came the storm and everything's gone by now All I got is a box underneath my bed, filled with pictures of a life i never had All I got are the dreams I never dreamed, the footprints I never made I'm a prisinor in my own world there never was something bad i never let anything come near to me a world of fantasy without all the hate out there This was my perfect little world, but then came the storm and everything's gone by now All I got is a box underneath my bed, filled with pictures of a life i never had All I got are the dreams I never dreamed, the footprints I never made Nothing's real, just in my dreams pretending to, stops right now All I got was never real All I got was never here
  14. Hey, guys. I'm a guitarist and a long time fan of OCRemix, I made this song hoping to submit it. I did submit it and it either didn't get to the judges or it was completely ignored. Which sucks because I've been waiting months checking it practically every day hoping to see it go up and see what everyone had to say about it. I hate my life. Anyway, hope you guys like it. https://soundcloud.com/toocoolforschooltheband/tetris-blocks-of-madness-1
  15. Latest thing I have been able to complete. 4tothefloor Techno track. With alot of dark ambient influences. I wanted to have a good at sample-ing some film related stuff. Its started out more minimal-techno but I just need to get epic sounds going. https://soundcloud.com/madgonz0/antichrist-original-mix Let me know what you think.
  16. Update: And it's finally done! Working out the ending took aaaaaages. I'm really happy with this as a finished arrangement - I can tell a few things sound a little out here and there, but I'm thinking/hoping that the strength of the arrangement can push past some of the less desirable sounding elements of the mix. Hope you guys enjoy! Critique would definitely be nice considering this is probably the most detailed arrangement I've ever worked on. Thanks guys! OLD Versions: Thought I'd jump on the bandwagon a little late (how long has it been, at least 2 years now?) and make a nice little orchestral arrangement of Skyrim's main/trailer/DOVAHKIN theme as a test of how well I can make these arrangements. Obviously it's still pretty rough, but I've laid down the basic elements for the mix and some sections are starting to sound pretty cool I think. :3 A lot of new material in this one! A bit more original interpretation near the end, as well! Really liking how this is turning out.
  17. So I recorded my piano cover already for this the other day, and then spent all day yesterday arranging and mixing this orchestral version. I hope you guys like it! My piano cover is in another thread. Here it is for anyone interested, just to keep both remixes separate from each other. http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=46133
  18. I taught myself and recorded this last night. It wasn't easy playing with how I had the camera set up, so I played it kinda safe. It's pretty true to the original song. For anyone interested in the orchestral version, check it out here: http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=46141
  19. It's been a long while since I posted a game-related remix onto this forum. I run a band called Raven's Jig and I occasionally accept song requests. A while back, a friend of mine asked me to play . I've never actually played any Ico games, though I'm familiar with the original composer of this song (Michiru Oshima), because she also worked on (or contributed to) several of my other favourite series. Anyway, the instrumental Ico - You Were There arrangement is shown below. A vocal arrangement will be prepared at another time. Thanks for your time. General commentary is always welcome
  20. A good friend of mine has a band called Seventh Element. He produces "pony" music, and pony music accessories. He has played publicly at conventions several times before. I haven't played public ever, so the difference should be there. Anyway, I really enjoy collaborating with this person, both as friend and as a musician. A couple of weeks ago, we collaborated on a song called "Anything you can do, I can do better", aka "Better". It's interesting how different our arrangements have turned out to be. My band is called Raven's Jig, his band is called Seventh Element, see links below: Thanks for having a look. I don't really want to hear which one you prefer, though general commentary is always welcome.
  21. http://tindeck.com/listen/ohir It was going to be a RPG song but it gives me more of a 2D platformer vibe. What's your take on it? Any ideas for a title?
  22. there's not much I can say here. The clock sound-effect, i was thinking of tweaking but not sure. The timing alteration are absolutely necessary, I need to preserve the feel of CT, not just the sound. Any tricks of the trade are welcome, though I'd rather just learn the trade . My DAW is Reason 7, so if that helps. I thank you for your time and advice. https://soundcloud.com/daniel-lesuer/601-a-d
  23. Hi everyone! It's been a long time since I was last on here but I've finally put together another VGM remix. This time I've had a go at remixing "Home" by Disasterpeace featured on the Fez OST. Here's how it sounds so far: https://soundcloud.com/dinokidofficial/home-dino-kid-remix I got great feedback last time so I'm looking forward to hearing what you have to say this time. EDIT: I think it's about done, will leave it up here for a bit before I consider submitting it
  24. Hey everyone, It's been awhile since I've put anything on the forums and since I can't submit this for a few more weeks I'd thought i'd let everyone take a few swings at it. This is an updated version of the remix I did for the WCRG 2013 Rivals round. It uses both Shademan and Ballade themes. Sources: Shademan BalladeRemix: https://soundcloud.com/garpocalypse/mega-man-7-the-underwater Putting it up for mod review because the remix is done outside of whatever suggested tweaking it might need.
  25. Hi! I play in an oldtimey folk/punk band called Folk Y'all. Here's a short video we shot for fun. We play the windmill hut theme just about every set we play! You can find more of the band here: http://facebook.com/folkyall
