Xenon Odyssey
Since we at OLR certainly don't have quite the team assembled here (nor the integrity, we ask for your assistance in this matter. It appears this douche: http://venvik.webs.com/myprofile.htm Thinks that he is nesper (you'll have to go to the YouTube page to see his message claiming he wrote it): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZnrkPousac nesper himself brought it to our attention over at OLR: http://olremix.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8268 We thank you for any help you can lend us. Dhsu
To be honest, I think OCRAPS was/is a bad idea, assuming that's what you're talking about. Usually the best thing to do is just ask him nicely to take it down, and if that doesn't happen, keep going higher up until someone makes him. No need for juvenile flaming and spam tactics. SoloGamer
Oh hi Tony nice remix you got here. What recording software did you use? I am an aspiring remixer and I would like to ask you a question. Do you think it's easier to teach yourself how to use mixing tools or is it easier just to steal other remixer's work and say it's your own? Sweet just wondering get back to me asap. LuckyXIII
Looks like this boy has a problem. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xIRD4EYs0o And its mate: http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01242/ We may need to stage an intervention. It would be the loving thing to do.

In general yes. But we've seen people politely confronted over plagiarism before and they foolishly squander a chance to settle things nice and easy. They figure either A) you're stupid and they can still get away with it, or what could you really do since the higher ups may not even care. OCRAPS then shows them that plagiarism by and large will not go unnoticed, and it will not make them popular. Yes it's mean, but as long as this forum only rolls out when it's deserved, I see nothing wrong with it. Justice of the mob can be dangerous, but there are assholes out there in serious need of a wake up call. If this guy doesn't heed polite warnings, OCRAPS should and will rip him a new one. Poke'G
And there in lies the thing, technically he never took credit. But, really, shouldn't this be common sense, to tell where something comes from if you never made it? I honestly do think he knows better and is playing this little game on purpose to gain some popularity guilt free. However, if he gives a "Whoops, sorry" and makes the necessary changes after letting him know to simply credit the original remixers, then I think it's a dead issue. That is, unless any of the original remixers want him to take their work down. But if he wants to be an ass about it after a fair request... He did try to take credit for the song in the video from the first post though. He's since changed the description and is giving a lame excuse like his friend changed the description of the video without him knowing. An apology would be better, but at least he's not taking credit now.

Poke'G
He's credited the OC Remixes too. It's just a link to the site, but I think that suffices.
