Extracting embedded videos

If you're using Firefox, I use Download Helper. Sometimes it can get confusing if you have multiple tabs with YouTube videos on them because it makes a single list and the file names can be jumbled, but other than that, I've had no problems, and have a 1.5 GB folder of just videos I've ripped from YouTube and elsewhere.

I use a Firefox extention call NetVideoHunter. I'm not sure about the technical specifics, but I haven't noticed any quality loss on any videos. One of the cooler features is that it keeps a list of all the videos you've watched and you can go back and download them, even if you've navigated away from the page or closed the browser since then.
