zircon Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 No, it doesn't use any in-game speech. Yet. http://www.zirconstudios.com/music/wips/EHTF2.mp3 Quote
Brushfire Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 I will give you some in game voice from me. Then I will finally be posted. Life will be good. Though I do like this WIP Andy. It has a hardcore in Da Club feel to it. Though it doesn't follow the source tune as much as I would like it, it sounds great. Quote
Skummel Maske Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 It sounds great. If you're planning to use in-game samples, can it still be posted? Wasn't there some regulation against that? And is the music from the main menu of the game? I can't remember if there's music anywhere else. Zircon sappin' mah sentry! Quote
zircon Posted November 1, 2009 Author Posted November 1, 2009 There's definitely no rule against using sampled SFX - you just can't make a mix ONLY using sampled SFX. Quote
Dyne Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 I can't even begin to imagine what it would sound like with the sampled SFX in there, but it still sounds like a killer mix thus far zircon. I'm looking forward to the finished track. Quote
Dhsu Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Ha, nice. Can't wait to hear what you do with the ending jingle. Quote
rig1015 Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 I love this low end. It has a nice crumble in the rumble. Quote
The Vagrance Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Lovin' the grimey feel to it, looking forward to hearing an updated/final version Quote
DramaNoMore Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 That bell sound at 0:15 sounds really bland to me... Otherwise, a really nice, crunchy, creamy sketch. Quote
MrSneak Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 I think you'd have to do something pretty incredible for VO to not ruin this mix. I love its energy right now. "Your favorite game quotes set to techno," has never been my cup of tea, and I feel like a lot of tracks turn out that way. Maybe you could string together some meaningful VO and use auto-tuning to make interesting, and not that you care about my opinion in particular. You know: Of course, I've been wrong before, I just have a hard time seeing how "Someone's sappin' my sentry" is going to make any sense outside its own context. Then again, I'm a terrible nitpick for bad lyrics in any music. Quote
