tom1uphat
Anybody see this yet? My friend e-mailed me it over the course of about 500 rar files, but I got the accursed Vista+iTunes=bad public movie atom error so I can't watch it on my iPod, my chair is uncomfortable so I don't want to watch it on my computer, and I'm all out of DVDs. Is it worth the time and money to go buy some blank DVDs?
Ferret
If you like Halo, yeah. I mean it's not 100% lolcanon but it's not bad either.
prophetik music
has anyone heard anything else about it? i was considering picking it up just because it's Halo, and i'm an xbox freak, but the animation style - as in, it looks like anime - turned me off. i'm not a fan of anime. Linkjing Donuts
batman gotham knight was illustrated by anime artists and that movie was awesome except for preppy boy bruce. That one kinda annoyed me. But everything else was so good
Brushfire
Halo Legends is prolly the worst thing to come out of the Halo Universe, and that is counting Halo Wars. Of all of the shorts on the disc, there were a total of 1.5 shorts worth watching. Origins I was decent, The Package had nice CG, and Odd One Out was the best thing that the film had to offer. I was really hoping this would be on par with Gotham Knight, but sadly it was terrible. Female Elites are sorta hot.
prophetik music
i really, really like halo wars. i think it's the best console RTS that i've ever played. but that's me =)
Toadofsky
I honestly think I'm gonna pass on this one. For starters, I didn't really think Gotham Knight was that great. It was good, but not like, "OMG! OMG!" great, but that's just my opinion. The other reason, is because I've had a complete fallout with Anime, especially since I haven't seen, let alone bothered to watch an Anime, for almost 2 years.... But don't let my "stick in the mud" opinion affect you....
tweex
This was the Antimatrix done poorly IMO. Took most of the same ideas and concepts for stories. Halo is a little tongue-n-cheek as it is, so it was little hard for me to really get into it. Not terrible, but I'm glad I didn't have to pay for it to see it. But Brushfire is right. Odd One Out was hilarious!!
Brushfire
If you are looking for good Halo stuff, look towards Red Vs. Blue Animated. http://rvb.wikia.com/wiki/Red_vs._Blue:_Animated
Strike911
I'm really glad I happened upon this thread. I was on the fence about picking up Halo Legends, but because of this thread, combined with the lack of glowing reviews on the internet, I might just wait for now... ... instead I'll pick up Gotham Knight. tom1uphat
Well, I'm probably just going to wait until i see my friend so I can just borrow his DVD copy of it. But RVB Animated does look pretty awesome.
ArmadonRK
Well, looking back at Gotham Knight and The Animatrix, neither was mind-blowing. At their best they were cool or neat or interesting, but never great. So going into Halo Legends, I think you should be expecting more of the same. Setting your expectations too high is how you end up disappointed. When I pick it up, I won't be expecting a great narrative extension of the core story, but entertaining "fluff" akin to Gotham Knight and Animatrix, hopefully with enough new material to make it worth the price of admission. tom1uphat
Gotham Knight was the one that started out with the skateboarding kids, right? Because that one was pretty cool; not awesome, but worth watching.
relyanCe
I personally thought Gotham Knight was rockawesome The Animatrix was pretty cool too female elites? wtf? well if they're hot i might have to check this out
Brushfire
female elites? wtf? well if they're hot i might have to check this out Don't bother, because they got a little carried away with the effect filter in that short. Just imagine the Navi from Avatar, only brown, and having more pointy teeth.
