Bahamut
I always hear this in reference to how much of a daunting task it can be to get caught up on ReMixes, and find that to be something I need to do as well, especially since I've been gone for essentially 7 months. I am aware of this gem from the NiGHTS album, but I'm probably unfamiliar with most songs that have come out since then, including albums. Is there any particular songs people care to recommend from the past year or two from OCR they'd like to share their love of? Try not to turn this into a pure list thread, as I'm very aware that we don't allow those .

WillRock
Here are a few of my personal favs this year http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02180/ - A mix of LeChucks theme from Heroes vs villains, pretty awesome Stevie Wonder style funk, many people (quite rightly) reckon its the best track on the album. http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02190/ - Probably the best green hill zone remix EVER, fantastic melodic electro-pop. http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02242/ - bLiNd did Drum n' Bass and completely hit a home run. One of his best. http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02254/ - The Overclocked Plaid Muffins need no introduction, they are basically the OCR's ultimate collaboration group. http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02256/ - Protodome completely jazzed out the Missingno Tracks and this was his best offering on the project imo. http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02259/ - Level 99 and Akumajobelmont joined forces in one of OCRs best project mixes. http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02312/ - Awesome piano rendition of a Zelda classic... get this one. This really is the Project year for OCR, there are many that you will have heard before i'm sure but there are some real gems this year. There are many more to come as well, its been a great year for OCR
Garpocalypse
I'd like to mention this one by zircon: http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02176/ Mostly because the source was this neat 15 second jingle that he turned into a good three minute work and had it up within the week. That's motivation! Also because I fondly remember the commotion when Sega called out the OCR community as to why there were no pico vision remixes. And maybe this one: http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02250/ For the wicked solos.
Brandon Strader
I thought this was going to be a "yo mama so fat" type thread, haha... Well here's a few hidden gems http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02253/ http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02265/ http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02282/ http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02295/ I heard the people who made these are pretty nice, definitely worth checking out and being friends with
Ethan Rex
I thought this was going to be a "yo mama so fat" type thread, haha... OCR SO VAST, it not only ate djpretzel, but the whole djbakery! Anyway...I especially enjoyed "Monsoon In a Concrete Jungle," "Smooth as Honey," and pretty much everything WillRock said.
Benjamin Briggs
well I had some mixposts and I would recommend all of my own music to you so there, that was easy as fuck
Rexy
http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02295/ Yes, yes, YES Let's see, other recommendations I can think of in the recent months: http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02241/ (Awesome prog from Lastair, featuring the instrument talents of norg and Snaps) http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02248/ (I can't resist pimping fellow British mixers ) http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02249/ (A throwback to OCR's early days in style? Could be, but still chilling nevertheless) http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02274/ (Another haunting one; Theophany did a beautiful Maridia arrangement for the Metroid anniversary) http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02275/ (Another awesome Metroid anniversary track, and currently my favorite of the mixer-debut posts this year) http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02285/ (One of my fave tracks off Lucid Dreaming, has so much of a playful charm to it) http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02288/ (If you see past the production on this one, you'd see another good mixer-debut here. The writing left me in a flood the first listen ;_; ) http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02291/ (*insert squealing praise for CarboHydroM here*) And also, I believe this recent album is appropriate for all the out-of-the-country service you've been doing
Locke
Heh, my playlist thanks this thread. Twins Seeds Flyby, my personal favourite, has already been mentioned, but here's 3 others that are among my favourite new songs (incidentally all from albums): http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02143/ ~ Climb My Mountain, This High - Another great Tal Tal Heights mix, this time from Benjamin Briggs. (from Threshold of a Dream) http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02269/ ~ Shifting Islands - Simply put: Groovy rendition of Marble Zone (from The Sound of Speed) http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02276/ ~ Solitude - More mellow, but quite beautiful. This song has a lot of depth. (from Harmony of a Hunter)
