dummy
I wanted to experiment with a new purchase and really liked the Animal Crossing soundtrack. This is an orchestration of 1pm. | SoundCloudAs usual, I consider it finished but I'd love any thoughts/crits/opinions on the realism that I can take forward to future pieces I work on. Thanks in advance for listening and any comments!
ad.mixx
Really nice song. I could actually see this playing in the background of some cartoon / anime or something. Production-wise it sounds nice. Nothing sticking out to me. Really dig this. Maybe a little to conservative for OCR if that's what you're going for, but still a nice listen. dummy
It is definitely a bit too conservative for OCR - I tend to stay pretty true to the originals in my orchestrations unless I'm planning to submit to this site. Thanks for the kind words, glad you liked it!
orlouge82
It's really nice to see someone covering classic Animal Crossing. I really like what you've got here. You know, to make it a little more along the lines of OCR's standards, you could do a medley of several different tracks from AC.
pokemoneinstein
You know, I'd really love to hear you do something from Pikmin. Regardless, what sort of percussion do you use in remixes such as this, the Super Mario World ending theme, and others? It works very well with orchestrations like this and I'd love to get my hands on it. I know you develop a lot of original sounds for commercial companies. Is it something you made for distribution? dummy
Thanks for everyone's kind words! I enjoyed making it so I'm really glad people are enjoying listening. What sort of percussion do you use in remixes such as this, the Super Mario World ending theme I used some brush drum loops for these pieces. Those in particular are private recordings I have, though you can find some extremely similar sounding stuff in Big Fish Audio's 'Brush Artistry' Also watching the Kirby museum tutorial vid. Thanks for that! Thanks, I was intending to do a few more of these as I go along. I always find it fascinating watching other people's workflows, so hopefully mine are interesting in some way.
