Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition!

Two songs where submitted last time, two voters submitted their votes. The votes where different which means two winners and two sources for this round.

The first source is selected by Chickenwarlord:

Some lesser known Dave Wise love. Has a groove and a catchy melody. Should be fun for all comers.

My selection is "Route 120" from Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald. I've always thought that the 3rd generation Pokemon games (in addition to being the most underrated) had the best music of the series, with the route themes being some of the strongest tracks!

PRC instructions

1. Limitations at ThaSauce require your entry to be 6 MB or less in size. Length for length's sake and MIDI rips are not allowed (only as Bonus Mixes).
   
2. Entries must be posted in the ThaSauce link by TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 4th 2012 at 10:59 am ThaSauce time: check my signature (below) or the ThaSauce page for the exact time left.
   
3. Select one of the sources, or remix both sources in one song. Chickenwarlord can remix FreakyT's source and FreakyT can enter by remixing Chickenwarlord's source.
   
4. You may enter as many mixes as you like and work with as many people as you like on each mix. You are free to create a second ThaSauce account for that, it's needed to be able to upload a second remix. You can post it in the thread if that doesn't work.
   
5. Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted.
   
6. Mixers cannot vote for themselves but if they vote they recieve a free first place vote added onto their score.

I tried the BT & DD track and got facerolled. I suck at swing...in fact I can't even tell what time sig it is - I suck at complimicated sources...guess I shoulda gone for the Pokemon one lol.

Because both managed to get the songs in on time I decided to not extend this round for another day.

Welcome to the voting stage

The mixing stage is over. 2 songs are submitted.

To vote, do the following:

- Visit the stated ThaSauce Page and listen to all the entries

- Scroll to the form at the bottom of the screen.

- Fill in the rank of the entries from first to second. Leave the third box empty.

- State a reasoning for it.

- Participants are encouraged to vote. They receive an added first place and one additional point if they vote. They only need to fill in their opponents song in the first box to vote.

Chickenwarlord and FreakyT both have a vote that counts twice.

I got your vote and updated the scores. I put the comments you posted under my vote. When you still have the problem for next round you can post a download link in this thread to submit a song (so I can upload it on ThaSauce and edit the remixer name to you) and PM the votes.

Yeah, same here, having a composer's block of sorts - can't even remix let alone make original music. Hopefully it'll end soon ><

Results:

OneUp wins. He got three votes (one is doubled) and he claimed the voting bonus. Garpocalypse got one vote and the last place wooden spoon, altough I think the difference was small in my eyes.
