prophetik music
hey, now that i've got a house with an office and everything, i need to find some game art. i prefer more serious/artsy stuff - that is, like these: http://www.marinkoillustration.com/Video-Games http://fineartamerica.com/featured/2-plays-per-quarter-benjamin-yeager.html http://www.etsy.com/listing/123455349/assassins-creed-inspired-print-11x17 anyone got some more works that i could look at? i'd prefer framed or mounted prints, and i prefer more modern games over super-retro stuff. Mustin
I have this beautiful print in a wood frame on my wall. It's fantastic. http://www.fangamer.net/products/timewing-schematics They have plenty of great posters. Ask around for custom artwork - trade custom remixes and a bit of cash. Hobby Lobby has 50% off frames right now and does custom matting for cheap. I know because I just got a 24" x 36" frame for $20 bucks and they're doing the matte, paper, and wire hanging for $15. Nice prices! Good luck! This is my dream, too - all custom artwork in my office! Edited May 24, 2013 by Mustin

Darklink42
http://www.redbubble.com/people/ninjaink/works/8528842-materia-girl?p=poster It's more expensive than I'd like (and a lot of the stuff on the site was, more or less) but I'm a big fan of the this one and the Metroid one they have. Annie Felis
Oh man, this one: http://www.redbubble.com/people/ninjaink/works/8331027-lets-pray-for-more-peace-in-space?c=82573-video-games It's a combination of my favorite video game character and my favorite painting by my favorite artist. So awesome. Anyway the two sites linked there seem pretty legit, with lisenced, legal works. I'd buy from them, just because there are a lot of poster sites that sell stolen artwork. It's better off if you don't support the sites that do that.

This is my dream, too - all custom artwork in my office! this is gorgeous! so awesome. and my wife thought it was cool, too, so that's positive as well =) annie, yeah, i've definitely seen a lot of knockoff stuff or digitized and printed stuff that wasn't originally the artist's. i usually prefer to go through the artist themselves on something like this but i was hoping for direction. i really like the movie poster-style ones that i linked in my original post, but i'd like one or more different games than what's there. i think it'd be cool to get one for either the witcher, the gears of war or halo series, mirror's edge, mass effect, or a few other games that i really enjoyed but aren't necessarily very popular (like enslaved: odyssey to the west). i'd love to get something for eve online too, since i'm a big fan of the game also. prophetik music
i'll bump this up because i can't believe that there's only a few people interested in this kind of stuff.
FuriousFure
Zac Gorman http://magicalgametime.com He sells some of his stuff on fangamer but his stuff is high quality and worthy of being framed.
prophetik music
zac does some interesting stuff, but not really the style i was looking for. plus his store is mostly comics of some kind, not really standalone stuff.
Jamphibious
I'm not really sure what's available, but Okami has some beautiful art, and I have seen some really great fan renditions done and I imagine there are some nice prints available somewhere. I wish I could find some specific examples but its something to consider.

prophetik music
i never played okami, but i've always been impressed with the art from the game. i looked a bit and i was right: others felt that the art style from that game was inspiring. http://www.artofokami.com/ http://www.ebay.com/itm/230628474761 http://society6.com/ruwah/God-Hound-Okami_Framed-Print also, i found this one, which i thought was pretty cool. yamelme.deviantart.com/gallery/42709311 - a whole set of minimalist game posters, including some recent good ones like ME3, tomb raider, and skyrim. Bummer
I'll be watching this thread, been living in my flat for two years and yet I've got walls left to decorate.
FuriousFure
Alright, again this isn't really the artistic "movie poster" videogame art that's the trend but I think this artist, Orioto, effectively captures the beauty of the games themselves. btw it was very hard to track his artwork down to him. people don't like crediting original artist it seems... :/ http://orioto.deviantart.com/ http://orioto.deviantart.com/gallery/6943610 seriously, even if you merely want cool desktop pics or to be nostalgic. check him out. I would love to and plan to make some of these into framed prints.
