Ah. Since the FFCC finals probably go from Jan 26th to Feb 2nd, I'd like to be in the Robotnik bracket if that's all right!

Yeah I have to apologize guys. I was working on my track, but then Diablo 3 happened. The last few days every time I would sit to work on my track my mind wasn't really on it and I just went back to diablo. Again, apologies.

What I had listed were zone music pieces but I didn't list them by zone. So, that's fixed.

Thanks! You can use all parts of the zones themes too... no need to separate out by acts. So if you get Frozen Factory, you can pull from zone 1, 2, or 3!

Same goes for everyone, if that situation applies to your zone:

What if the Zone I choose has slightly different themes in Act 1, Act 2, etc.?

When you choose a Zone theme, you can use all variations of that Zone’s theme from any of the Acts. Some Sonic games have slightly different themes in Act 1 versus Act 2. So for example, if someone chooses Hydrocity Zone, they (and their opponent) can use both Act 1 & Act 2 sources in their mix if they want.

Wow, so at this point, I only have 1 (ONE) unaccounted for roster spot open. There are 9 other spots that I'm temporary holding for people that stated in this thread that they were interested in participating. So if they are no longer interested, or if I don't hear from them in a few days, then I'll open those spots back up as well. You guys rock :-D

Just keep checking the Roster Spreadsheet (linked in the first post too) for all the up-to-date roster spots and current picks!

I agree with MindWanderer - 64 would be even better. Even 48 would work, and the final of each of the 2 brackets could be between 3 people each.

OK so the open roster spots are filled now! I still have 8 held spots for people that previously expressed interest. If they don't sign up (and I don't hear back from them), then their spots will be freed up in the next couple of days.

Hold it open for 2 weeks anyway and shoot for 64. :smile:

Oh my... that'd be crazy... I don't know if we'd get 64, but we might be able to do a 48 person seeded bracket. We'd basically have two rounds of 16 for both brackets doing it this way. I'd have to randomly seed people to determine who the 16 people would be that'd get the first round off. That'd be the only fair way to do it.

I don't know... that'd push the compo out another two weeks as well, and the eventual winner may have to make 6 mixes by the time the compo was over, if they were part of that first round. I don't want to wear people out and end up seeing people drop mid-way (cause that always sucks).

What do people think? If there is enough interest, would you (the participants) want a 48 person seeded competition? If you were interested in joining still but not signed up yet, let us know here so I can gauge interest in this idea.

I'd have no problem with making more mixes if we let more people enter. That's it, assuming I get pass Round 1!
I'd prefer 32, 48 is a bit crazy if you ask me.

Yeah that's the dilemma... the majority of people won't make more than 2-3 mixes total due to being eliminated, so it's not a huge deal. But it's just those last final rounds that may get kind of crazy. Especially if you were one of the individuals that was part of the first round of 16 (and not part of the 16 "bye-week" seeded people).

Yeah, I thought of that idea too (like what you folks just did in the FFCC), but I'd rather not complicate things and have a 3-person round where people mix 3 sources together. Mixing two themes together can be tough enough for some. I'd rather keep it simple.
